i need some advice, basically i tried using full strength ACV instead of 50/50 and it has turned my skin a bit red, not allot but yea, i dont think its burned i think its just irritated im not sure, that was last night. today ive been applying 50/50 acv again (with water) and it doesnt make the redness any worse.

should i stop using it altogether to let it get back to normal again or should i just carry on using

50/50 solution because my skin only went red because of full strength and im kinda desperate for clear skin asap.

thanks.

Hi,

Does using diluted ACV make your skin more sensitive to light?

MB

no lemon juice does that (i think)

wow i had some confusing but ultimatly succesful results, basically i noticed some fading after a few days but then i accidently burned the skin and when the skin pealed the red mark was their just as bad as before.

i was understandably annoyed so i started using it again making sure i dont burn my skin so the skin wouldnt peel and this time it kept fading and now my red marks are almost completely gone :).

i dont get why everyone doesnt try this because it really works

i tried it lastnight, my main problem is these red spots not going away. this morning i looked into the mirror and shocked to see about 6% of those marks were gone! as well as some small pimples. =)

I started doing the apple cider vinegar thing two weeks ago. My first week, I applied it topically (full strength) twice daily and drank some of it (not every day, but half-way consistantly). My first week my skin was doing great. My acne, I'd say it's moderate. I've seen severe acne and mine is not like that, but it is persistant and always there. I absolutely hate it.

Anyways, first week my skin got smoother, and some slight red marks began to fade. Then second week, I stopped drinking it because I don't want it to hurt my teeth plus it's disgusting, but I still apply it to my face. Well, breakout time. Now, I also started my period the same week so that probably has something to do with it. Now I have a couple small pimples (one healing, two new, although tiny ones, this morning, and a cyst). One thing I am happy about though is the vinegar brought to surface acne that had been under my skin for over a month! Very happy it came out, but now it has turned into my cyst. Working on it.

These past two days I've been very discouraged because of my breakout, but I bought ACV pills and are now taking them and am pushing through with the topically applied ACV. Praying for more results.

Also, I just got my first true acne scar. Tiny ice pick. I'm trying to not let it hurt my self-esteem but i hate it. I believe I can fix it by a soft chemical peel I just purchased and have heard good things about. But does ACV help with tiny, soft, ice pick scars???

Alright so I finally thought my acne was cured because I didn't have one breakout this whole summer. Maybe a couple of whitehead from here and there, but it didn't hurt my self-esteem. It felt great

Now all of a sudden I go back in school and start breaking out horribly again. I know stress cause acne, but last year in school I had acne but not as bad as this. So I decided to try the apple cider vinegar. It worked great on my neck, most of my acne is gone. However, I'm sketchy about my cheeck, chin, and forhead area. My face usually burns, and I can say it feels way better and i don't feel the acne. I also don't feel it when I'm washing my face with clean and clear, but I look in the mirror and it looks red as hell. I don't feel it though. Is that just scaring or does that mean I should quit using it or go on with it, because I know these things make it get worse before it get's better.

What has been your experience in regards to duration? How long does it take to see results? I'm using the non-organic generic grocery store brand... :P

I'm expecting to see peeling, and so far, I haven't seen anything. :eh:

Is it ok to be taking the acne medication, "Erythromycin" while taking the tablets, using it as a toner, or drinking it?

I just wanted to post a reply to the ACV and oilyness.

Since I have been using the ACV I have noticed a HUGE difference in oil production. Oily skin runs in my family and I get it from my father. His skin was extremely oily but he never did have problems with acne. (lucky him)

I am 25 years old and have struggled with acne since I was about 15 years old.

Since using ACV I have noticed that my blackheads and whiteheads are literally pushing themselves out of my face.

My pores seemed larger at first but it was because they were working their way out of my skin.

I had a nodule behind my ear for more than 6 months that NOTHING would get rid of. Not even antibiotics.

After using the ACV the nodule is completely gone. My oil production has been cut by more than half and my blackheads are vanishing.

Rather it works for everyone or not ... It works for me and I will continue to use it.

Thank you so much for the idea.

I've noticed the SAME THING with it pushing out white heads and black heads. I've had these black heads on my nose for YEARS, so this is a relief.

I am glad to see it's working for others in the same way. I love this stuff. i had a bit of success with coconut oil a few years back. I think I will combine the two treatments and see how things go. Thanks for the reply!

anyone try a cucumber and honey toner? Supposedly, this helps returns the skin to its normal pH balance. I am contemplating between using this as a toner or ACV and greentea mixed.

yes, I can't wear mine all day. My boyfriend won't kiss me because he said my face smells so bad and makes him want to throw up! hahahaha, so it must be washed off in my case, or worn at night

If you put moisturizer over your face afterward it kind of hides the smell.

I started using Heinz ACV on Sunday night and today is Tuesday. On Sunday I used it once and Monday I used it 2 times and today I have a 4 or 5 whiteheads that are on the surface. Could this be because of the ACV or what? I used it diluted 50/50 in a water bottle.

My regimen is

Eucerin Redness Relief Cleansing Gel

ACV

Moisturize with Cerave

BP 10% spot treatment at night.

I switched to Braggs and my skin is looking better so far. I was wondering if I do it 3 times a day, do i have to moisturize in the middle of the day when I do it?
