I'm currently on Murad and lately, it has stopped working. Can I still use the Murad Cleanser and Moisturizer along with ACV??

I have a silly question.. please don't be harsh! Just wanna know what will i ask to buy ACV in the grocery store and is this the same vinegar which is used for cooking? Also what do i tell to buy EMU OIL? ..Don't want to waste a thread on this, so asked here.

I really suggest going to a whole foods or somewhere that has BRAGGS Organic ACV. Or any Organic ACV that has an ingredient called "The Mother" in it. Overall, peoples results with drinking or applying it to their face have sounded much better, including for me. It should be in the cooking isles, but asking an employee at the store should know where it is.

Chances are, the store you're at isn't going to have emu oil. I haven't seen any place that sells it except online.

when i apply acv (50/50) it seems like it absorbs rly quick n theres no smell but maybe its not the right acv then? :/

anyhow i feel if u use it daily it kinda dries skin, so its probably the best to use it with somekinda moisturizer on top of it or not like too often like daily

^ whats "The Mother"? :/

Used it for four months and am happy to say that it helped to reduce my red marks up to 60%-70% than what they were. I haven't used ACV for two days, though, as I'm experimenting to see if ACV has kind of "run it's course" for me and won't get my red marks any better than they already are. Because if that's the case, then what's the point in continuing to use it?

Going to try picking up an Aloe Vera plant today to try that out. I must get rid of the remaining 40% of these red marks!!

With all due respect, half the people on here complaining of 'horrible red marks', especially the OP - have mickey mouse level blemishes to begin with so don't even warrant much serious attention.

Is there anybody with ACTUAL, SERIOUS red marks who has gotten any positive benefit from this method??

I have/had pretty serious red marks. No pictures yet, but trust me, they are terrible. All over both of my cheeks and temples.

That's encouraging to know. I've attached pictures of my marks below. EDIT: I changed the pics I'd included earlier as I came across a better set from one of my very old posts on here:

You think ACV will do anything for these?

i'm going to buy some Briggs ACV tomorrow after school. How long would it take to see results?? I'm mostly going to use it because of my PIH. Also, i plan to use the Acne.org regimen but people say that BP is bad for PIH. So what should i do??

Anyone whos questioning trying ACV just needs to go out and buy it and try. It will cost you less than 5 dollars for a large bottle of it.

You will never know if it works for your marks until you try it, and when its this cheap, it's worth a shot. I have not heard of many (if any) people saying it made them break out. Some people don't see much results, while others see very good results. It helps some peoples pimples dry up.

Definitely start with 50% ACV and 50% Water (or even more water).

There was a interview done with Fergie and she drinks 2 tablespoons with every meal. Supposedly helps with weight loss. I bought some to try, but never dared to drink the stuff... I am going to try it as a toner though. I figure it can't hurt anything. Fergie used organic unfiltered ACV though.

Its believed that BP will cause longer healing times. If I was you, obviously I don't know how your skin is at the moment but try giving up the BP,I did and sometimes I get a few zits but find alternative ways to get rid of them.

As for seeing results, I guess it depends on how quickly your skin heals but they wont go away overnight.

You could always try drinking it,I usually do and missed a few days then ended up breaking out.Not sure if its linked but its the only thing I changed. Its really not bad once you get used to it.

Hey, I was just wondering how it would work if I used it, I currently use Noxzema (it worked in the past wonderfully but lately the redness just doesn't go away but itsbeen keeping everything maintained basically) and would it be a bad idea to mix the 2.

I use a Noxzema cream and then facial pads

Hi all.

I've been doing this for about a week and a half and I am really liking what it's done to my red marks. The problem is, I'm just bumpier in general. Not smooth at all. They're not pimples, but they're just tiny flesh coloured bumps.

Just wondering if anybody has experienced this?

i have some on bumps on my face. i think those are hypertrophic scars. I myself am not sure if ACV would work on scars as well.

Sometimes the skin on my cheeks gets tiny little bumps on it the day after I use ACV if the solution is too strong. It's strange because my forehead can handle pretty much 100% ACV, but the rest of my skin sometimes get's little non-acne bumps on it that go away after a day or so.

If your bumps are the same as mine, it's usually a sign your skin is reacting to the ACV's Strength.

Oh okay, thanks a lot for that. I'll add some more water in to it and see if that does the job.

ACV sounds really good! I'm going out to buy some today and will post my progress on here. One question though, I've tried looking through the thread but given up now as there are soooo many posts...If I want to apply ACV at night would I put it before or after my topical treatment?

Cheers guys!

I've been doing this for nearly a week now. I'm using ACV diluted with 50% water and a few teaspoons of green tea.

Nothing yet because it's obviously way too soon. Will give it a month to see any initial results and keep posted.

ACV is amazing! I'm so glad I came across these posts. It's only been a few days and I can notice a difference in the way my skin feel. It's so smooth and doesn't get as greasy as it did before. :)

few questions, do u apply this once every night?

Do u wash it off after 10 mins?

In which order do u use it, e.g. my regimen currently is (morning and night), facewash, red light on marks, retin a, moisturize, where would i fit ACV in?

Thanks

I think I have hyperpigmentation... so I'll give this a try :D Can it be used with baking soda? I've also read here a lot about it and it sounds wonderful!

Thank you!

It's varies a lot from person to person.

I apply mine once every other night, after I've cleansed my face. That's all I do - no moisturiser on top, just leave the ACV to work on the skin without adding other ingredients from other products on top.

Your regimen looks pretty loaded - I don't think it's a good idea using Retin-A and ACV together - maybe use one at AM and the other at PM? Or alternate them? That way your routine would be facewash --> red light --> [retin-a or ACV] --> moisturiser.

As for my progress, been using this every other night for only about two weeks though I think I missed a couple of nights, so it's still too early to tell. I think this makes my whiteheads come up more though as every morning after using this, I notice a new whitehead that wasn't there before. Other than that, haven't noticed anything else.

Will keep posted though.
