i actually just started this last night. I heard it's good for Rosacea. Funny thing is i woke up with a new pimple.

I'm just rubbing it on my face at night, then rinse with warm water in the morning. Then i apply tea tree oil. The reason is because there is no way i can stand the smell (neither would the people around me) all day. Its nasty.

I'm going to try to keep this up. I guess only time will tell.

P.S. I heard that if you are drinking this, you should use a straw because the vinegar will strip the enamel off your teeth.

Hello, guys

Just a few questions regarding the apple cider vinegar regimen:

I've been using it for a few days now (apply topically every night and drinking 10 teaspoons each day) and it does make my skin smoother (was very flaky when I first started) but also causes my face to be more oily. But let's put that aside, my main concern is that my nose has blackheads that weren't there before ever since I started the regimen. I mean , before there are a lot of pores on my nose but not that much of blackheads. Is it possible that the AVC is pushing my blackheads up the surface then get rid of it? I'm praying that it does because I'm having the initial breakout with the AVC 😥

*Edit* I have some tiny red pumped pimples on my forehead and random pimples on other places. I have never gotten pimples on my forehead in such a long long time. Should I stick it out with the AVC, will it get better with days? I'm so sad right now.

Holy cow! 10 teaspoons of ACV is way too much! Undiluted apple cider vinegar can damage the esophagus and other parts of the digestive tract. 2-3 tsp is enough! It sounds like you are experiencing more pros than cons with the ACV, maybe your body doesn't agree with it. Maybe try a smaller dose as a spot treatment instead of of a full on toner, so that it doesn't touch new areas of your face (ie: forehead) and possibly cause zits.

Good luck! 🙂

Thanks for the reply. I was reading through the thread and noticed that most people started of with around 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar per day, some even was using it as many as 3 times per day. That was the reason for the amount that I was taking. My regimen was just around 3 tablespoons/day and I added them to my water throughout the day. Anyway, it's true that I haven't gotten much success with the vinegar. I even broke out badly. I'd like to think of it as an initial purge since I put too much hope into this regimen and I thought it would clear up my acne. I mean, after all, it works wonder for so many people. I guess there is that possibility that it's not for me :eh: Before I was just using Dan's Regimen and got amazing result from it. It wasn't until recently that I got a bad reaction to the regimen and stopped using it. Now I'm wondering whether I should drop the apple cider vinegar and go back to BP gel? It's certainly not good for me to switch products to products. I'm in such a dilemma right now. Any advices?

im half asian, so the skin is pretty similar (other half is white). i also need to know how this is going. my acne would be considered mild after battling to get rid of most of my acne. like you, i have red marks, deep dark ones, and light ones all over my CHEEKS, jawline, and forehead. my scars are WAY worse than the original poster, also.

I just bought some ACV today.

If taken orally only, will it reduce remarks too, or only help acne?

i dont have any new pics, kinda cuz i, like everybody else, doesnt really wanna be in new pics. i just made a mixture of one cup water:one cup ACV with two crushed aspirin. i dabbed it on my face and put the rest in the fridge. if i can get time to take some pics, i will.

but for now i'll tell you that i have red marks on both cheeks, both sides of my jawline, my chin/neck area, some on my forehead. they range from little pencil-sized marks to the size of peas.

I spoke too soon on my limited experience with AVC. After about a month into the regimen, my skin begins to pick up and gets a whole lot better. I did break out badly on the first few weeks into the AVC and even thought about giving up. However, I stick it out and am very please with the result. I only apply AVC to my face as a toner once at night for about 10-15 minutes then wash it off. Then continue with my usual skin care regimen which includes BP gels and a thin layer of AHA +. My skin is nowhere near perfect and I'm still left with a lot of post acne marks but I'm thankful that not many pimples has formed since I started using the AVC incorporate with my BP gels (and let's hope it stays that way. ;) In addition to applying it, I also drink around 5-6 teaspoons of AVC each day. Basically I just fill the AVC bottle cap with the vinegar and add them to my water twice a day.

One concern is that whenever I get sweaty, like when I exercise, I sort of smell like vinegar. Does anyone else experience this? I only apply it to my face and wash it right off so I suspect it's due to my consumption of the AVC? Even if it was true, I would still continue with my AVC regimen because I'm very content with the result that it's giving. By the way, don't know if this is related to anything but I want to note that I am Asian and I have oily skin. However my skin has become less oily now, thanks to AVC!

I strongly urge everyone to give this AVC regimen a try. Keep at it for at least a month and then decide whether it's right for you. I had my fair share with AVC and in the end, glad that I didn't give up.

Actually, my best advice is add some zinc to your diet. You can get pill form, read up on zinc in this forum. I've been taking zinc and vitamin b50 complex for stress (school related) and stopped drinking milk. I didnt have any new breakouts, and so I started drinking milk again, and did not experience any breakouts. So I'm hoping zinc will be the answer. So far so good. I'm also only using cetaphil and a witch hazel based toner from a nutrition store. Exfoliating once a week. My toner has many ingredients that help with fading red marks, I've also started putting a dab of extra strength polysporin on my red marks becaues it appently helps prevent and fade scarring.

Is anyone still using ACV? What kind of ACV do you use? I went to Safeway and the only kind I found was the Safeway brand one that has already been diluted with water to 5% acidity.

I've been using ACV on my face (and i drink it too - one to two cap fulls in my tea) for a little over two months.

It's been wonderful ! My skin looks so much better. I never had a huge issue with acne to begin with, but now my only qualm is with hormones/stress, as those seem to be the only reasons i break out anymore.

I started out mixing it with 1 cap full ACV and 3 cap fulls of water. Then i moved on to a 50-50 mix.

I had to start gradually, my skin didn't like the 50-50 mix at first. ACV is great for sensitive skin (just about anything makes me break out).

I wash my face with nothing but water in the AM and PM and then take a cotton pad with some ACV and smooth it on my face. I don't rinse it off. I don't use moisturizer (living in Hawaii, there's enough humidity that it's ok for my skin).

I'm glad i found this thread, my skin is almost back to what it used to be in high school

I've been using ACV for 10 days now and haven't seen any improvement yet.. just a pretty big breakout two days ago, which means new red marks. Oh joy.

I'm sticking with it though, I'll give it another month to see some results. Fingers crossed. :ninja:

I've had success w/ ACV in a different manner, shrinking zits that pop up every now and then.

Try mixing honey in with the ACV (Braggs). Of course you still dilute the ACV, but it seems to help with my acne. I also use the baking soda method, but that's before applying ACV. I use both twice a week.

Aren't you supposed to refrigerate acv? If you make a toner out of it, do you guys keep it in the fridge or just let it sit out on the counter?

Thanks!

-Evening.

Neostrata.

-Epiduo cream, it contains adapalene and bp, 0.1%/2.5%

-Neutrogina anit-aging anti-blemish control if needed.

I have a few tiny active pimples. I popped a few of the large ones and they have subsided. Its a week before my cycle...so im hormonal...Im going to Hawaii in a week and I would love to see some improvement in the red marks...Anyone have any feedback it would be much apperciated! Please HELP!

I know the majority, if not all, the thread is about applying ACV topically, but I've had some success taking it orally.
