Ive found an awesome way to apply the ACV :boohoo:

What I do is:

I i mix a 50/50 solution or sometimes stronger/weaker depending on what I feel my skin can handle. If cysts are present i recommend crushing up Ibuprofen pills into powder and adding that to the solution. I make about 20-40 ml in one go and add 200mg of ibuprofen to every 20ml. Ive found this to be the most effective. Mix as well as possible.

The next part might sound very odd, but ive seen amazing results. I fold toilet paper, yes, toilet paper to the shape and size of the affected area. It should me about 4 sheets thick. Then I hold the folded toiletpaper in my hand and pour some of the ACV solution on it until it has absorbed as much as possible. It should be soaking wet. Then just place it on the affected area, if it doesn't stick and stay there by itself, then its not wet enough. If you can handle the taste/smell of acv then you can make a patch which covers your chin and mouth area. Then you leave it on for about 30 min or until the toiletpaper starts falling off from being dry, then I moisturize.

You might want to try on a smaller area first to make sure you dont react to the ACV (&ibuprofen/aspirin).

Enjoy! :surprised:

To everyone who used ACV for redmarks...

How much Water : ACV proportion do you use?

I followed the advices that I read here, at first I used 3 parts water to 1 part ACV for about a month or so, I noticed very minimal improvement. Because I still have acne the time I started with this regimen (and I still break out while on the regimen) I thought that maybe it's better to increase the proportion to 1:1 and leaving the solution for 1 hour in my face, finally after a month of doing this I was finally clear :surprised::pray: But unfortunately, I have tons of red marks in my cheeks (it seems ACV didn't help with this problem) :wall:

So I am wondering, if ACV can really help to lessen the redmarks on one's face :snooty: Or maybe 1:1 is too much?

^ what is this purge you speak of?

did you add 4parts of actual green tea (like the stuff you drink) to 1 part acv then apply overnight or something?

to my knowledge purge means to have an initial breakout (getting out the bad stuff) and then seeing an improvement in skin

I read that it is 2 weeks but I am wondering if it is different at all for people that were already drinking Apple Cider Vinegar

I had an old toner bottle, emptied it out and added 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for every 4 table spoons of green tea that i made in the microwave with water and a tea bag

then i put it in the fridge for an hour and then used it as a toner with a cottonball and put it back in the fridge

I don't know if the green tea has made a difference but supposedly it has antioxidants that benefit the skin so I figured what the heck I might as well put em together

also i wait a while before putting on tazorac

Hmmm, I am not sure how long i had an initial breakout (since I have acne while using ACV)...

Yes, ACV is the BEST thing to make pimples dry up fast (in my opinion)

does this really work for red marks?

I don't know how to apply it

I just bought some, I've been mixing it with water and putting on cotton and rubbing on my red marks

I'm clear of acne, so I just rub haha

what do I do? does it work for red marks?

yesyesyall, what works the best is make a solution of acv as strong/weak as you think your skin can handle, you can add aspirin and ibuprofen if you have inflamed spots. then pour it on a piece of folded toilet paper, make sure its completely soaked, then stick it on the area with the marks and leave it on for like 30 mins or until it dries enough for it to fall off on its own. this works wonders.

I have been doing this for a couple weeks and I think I'm past purging. I did a four part green tea one part ACV mix. should i make it 3:1 or 2:1 and see how it goes? will it make a difference? My skin gets kind of flaky so I don't want to dry it out too much or purge again if thats even possible

Does ACV cause sun sensitivity?

Also, will ACV help with dry skin?

Hi, i have been reading the thread for like 3 hours lol

My problem is, i had a patch of dry skin on my face, so a few days ago i used some aqueous cream as advised by the pharmacist, it felt fine for a few days and i used as a moisturiser.Then....woke up with a burning red flaky forehead !!!!

I just used cold water towelling for a few days and yesterday i would use some vaseline for the moisture benefit

Its going away but its still slightly red blemishes etc........

My question is.........am i ok to use the vinegar now, to begin using as a 50-50 ? I have seen the methods on how to. Should i try it once a day or more to begin, also if the skin is broken, mine dosent seem to be, is it dangerous to apply?

Awaiting a response so i can go buy some asap

Please ,people reply with your advice, findings etc

Thanks

I've only been using ACV for a couple weeks but I like it

I use it at night because it smells horrible I started out with a 3:1 ratio just to see how my skin would react and I changed it to 2:1 because my skin is improving slightly but then coming back so I just want to see if the ACV will help if its stronger

ACV seems to have made my skin a little more dry FYI

good luck redeyejedi!

Hello all - I started my apple cider vinegar journey about 3 days ago.

My skin is - Very dehydrated (from oil cleansing method with castor oil - then using too many harsh chemicals too much), Chin acne (from trying too many products at once), White heads from the dead skin that comes from being dehydrated, dull skin, fine lines, oily skin (my skin is trying to make up from the loss of water) ...

I am 19 years old and I did this to myself. I was not born with dehydrated skin. I think I disrupted my skin's acid mantle and I am completely sad about that. I think that using the Vinegar will help to heal it and normalize my skin's natural PH.

I had a huge pore on my nose a couple days ago. I had the pore open for a LONG time. Nothing was closing it. Now that I have been using apple cider vinegar (sometimes honey, last night white vinegar) the pore is starting to heal and close up.

I started with Ralph's brand and it didn't seem to do anything except bring some pimples to a head. I care about the pimples but my main concern is normalizing my skin's PH.

I did more research and read that I needed organic. It's better for you because all of the benefits are not taken out of it.

I went out and bought Distilled White Vinegar and Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother and I am starting to see improvements. As I have said, the closing pore. The pimples are coming to their heads :)

I will track my progress here. Hopefully I can help someone who's hurting out there.

God bless <3

Hi All,

I have been using regular vinegar for a week and finally after 12 years of acne I have some relief. a month ago, a friend of mine gave me some goat milh homemade soap and it has helped a lot too. I think that sodium lauryl sulfates which are in many products even the ones prescribed by a dermatologist (panoxyl soap) for one, tend to make the skin break out. I now make my own soap made with only (olive oil, lye and goat milk), my own detergent which is easier than I thought too and now vinegar and I am pretty much completely clear.

It was all years of deductive reasoning. I dated a fellow in the suburbs and everytime I went out there, I would break out terribly after showering and it was BAD!! i then started to inquire about his water softener. From there I realized by reading many toxicology books that sodium lauryl sulfates and similar ingredients are culprets in skin irritation. Anywho, I really just wanted to say that it takes a lot of scientific work on our part to figure these things out and my advice now is to really keep it simple as far as ingredients goes. I hope this info help someone :)

So I am still confused on the mix. So after your done washing andall of that, you apply the ACV and you mix the ACV with water? and that's it just straight water and AVC? and im guessing we scrub it on and then wash it off correct?

Hello, guys

Just a few questions regarding the apple cider vinegar regimen:

I've been using it for a few days now (apply topically every night and drinking 10 teaspoons each day) and it does make my skin smoother (was very flaky when I first started) but also causes my face to be more oily. But let's put that aside, my main concern is that my nose has blackheads that weren't there before ever since I started the regimen. I mean , before there are a lot of pores on my nose but not that much of blackheads. Is it possible that the AVC is pushing my blackheads up the surface then get rid of it? I'm praying that it does because I'm having the initial breakout with the AVC

*Edit* I have some tiny red pumped pimples on my forehead and random pimples on other places. I have never gotten pimples on my forehead in such a long long time. Should I stick it out with the AVC, will it get better with days? I'm so sad right now.

:naughty: You should not use it on broken skin...It will STING like hell. When apply AVC it soften your skin that's why when i apply it my pimples, the surrounding gets all soft and white and makes it easier to peel. Usually i swipe it over the pimple a couple time to get that effect, but it stings like hell every time. I would imagine your face being uber red if you do that to broken skin.

Are people just using this to get rid of red marks, or can it be used to actually prevent acne in the first place?

Ok so I put the ACV on my face for the first time last night 50/50.. I'm not expecting miracles over night however this morning my skin did feel smoother and not as bumpy as last night. Don't notice much fading yet however I have just reapplied it! I'm going to make it in a bottle later as in put the ACV and water in because at the moment im making it from scratch when i want to use it. I did put 3 aspirin in the ACV but might add one more to the actual toner when I make it later.

I'm also going to apply an aspirin ACV water mask later.. any advice on how to do that or what to expect.

Thanks :)

I tried drinking it diluted in water and couldn't stand it.

I've applied it the last two nights. My red marks seem slightly lighter although I may just be seeing things. I'll probably keep doing it and see how it goes.

Holy cow! 10 teaspoons of ACV is way too much! Undiluted apple cider vinegar can damage the esophagus and other parts of the digestive tract. 2-3 tsp is enough! It sounds like you are experiencing more pros than cons with the ACV, maybe your body doesn't agree with it. Maybe try a smaller dose as a spot treatment instead of of a full on toner, so that it doesn't touch new areas of your face (ie: forehead) and possibly cause zits.

Good luck! 🙂
