Hi, I found this topic a while back and have a few questions.

I've been using ACV daily for over 3 weeks now, and I seem to be getting MORE breakouts. More so than ever in my life. Is this normal?

I'm quitting ACV for now because my breakouts are getting worse. I'm willing to give it a try if someone, anyone can confirm that these breakouts are normal. I remember reading that I might encounter initial breakouts due to the toxins being pushed out of my body. Is this true?

Am I suppose to endure initial breakouts from using ACV? Please confirm. Thank you.

Has anyone noticed a reduction in redness or a shrinking of pores while on it? I am gonna start it as soon as I get some organic ACV, dilute it in a water bottle, half watter, half ACV.

Oh, and how much Asprin would you use, say in a 500ml bottle (normal sized water bottle) for sensitive skin?

Hi Rebecca,

I don't know if you haved already answered this but how many times a week do you use this or do you use it daily etc, ?

I've started drinking it and just used it as a toner about an hour ago and i definitely feel my pores are smaller also it immediately reduced some redness from the one pimple i have remaining on my face which is a good sign.

Thanks

Alex

Is the Purpose cleanser (the orange bar) compatible with ACV solution? So basically this is what I would do:

1. Use a cleanser

2. Apply ACV and let it dry

3. Apply BP if needed

4. Apply moisturizer

Is that ok? Or is that too many products at once? Based on what other people have reported, I might take out BP completely.

Also Rebecca, you mentioned that you used to apply it 6 times a day. Does that mean you washed your face every time before you applied it?

Hey guys. Does ACV help with sunburn by any chance? And is it okay to put aloe vera after the ACV cuz i heard that aloe is also very good at healing scars and acne in general. Would it get in the way of the ACV? Thanks!

I tried it for about 12 days (diluted 1:3 parts water) and used it as a kind of wash. I put it on my face, left it on for about 10-15 minutes, then washed it off. Twice daily. Doing this gave me one of the worst breakouts of my life. I've been through purging (with Differin), and this didn't feel like purging. It just felt terrible, and my face was extremely dried out from it (I was getting breakouts in places I normally don't break out, on top of all the other places). ACV dries out your skin and closes your pores. Drying your skin causes it to overcompensate with oil, and all the excess oil then gets stuck inside the closed pores.

If you have sensitive skin, you might want to just stick with a gentle cleanser instead.

Hi,

Does BP stand for benzoil peroxhyde?

I use that stuff to clear up my pimples. Can I use that after I apply the AVC?

Will benzoil peroxyhde make it take longer for my red marks to fade?

thanks!

Ok I tried ACV 50/50 today on my face and also started taking it orally in my drinking water. Seems fine to me. No burning. I love the way my face feels after it. The smell doesn't put me off at all. Hopefully it will help my red marks and acne.

Can I apply my cetaphil moisturiser in the shower, then apply the ACV toner on my skin once outside the shower? Then BP followed by moisturiser?

Question, should i make a premixed bottle, of ACV and water, so it is quicker to put it on at night and in the morning before i put on dans regime, or will this not keep, if it is mixed with water?

Apple cider vinegar has irritated my skin and caused redness and shallow scarring.

Apple cider vinegar caused scarring?!

Personally I think this kind of thing is a waste of time.. You have to tackle it hard, things like TCA or retanoid creams. Imo anything else is just like tickling it with a feather.

Hey

I have recently just started using ACV topically as well as trying to drink it once on a daily basis. I dilute it 50/50 with water and put it in a water bottle under my sink..and have been applying it morning and night with a flat cotton pad. My question is, do people usually wash it off after about 10-15 minutes or just leave it on there and follow with a moisturizer? I have personally been washing it off but I'm not sure if I should be doing that or not. Any thoughts?

Tim

It is not recommended for sunburns because ACV is an acid. I would look up some testimonials on google. I'd just stick to aloe vera for your sunburn.

What skin type do you have? I would suggest diluting the ACV even more. But if it's not working out I think you should stop applying.

Honestly you are suppose to drink the ACV and not only use it as a topical treatment.

Drinking ACV method

There's a TON of benefits when drinking ACV other than acne. I've just started out and it's really not bad at all.

Check it out

It's awesome. I was using it last year when my acne was gone. Now I am breaking out again, so gave up on it,plus..so lil. time and using other very strong products. It was awesome. Better than anything else.it makes your pores smaller, the skin soft, and the marks fade soo much faster. I am gonna start using it again .I usually used it after washing in the morning and the evening. BUT just applying it with the cotton won't work. Massage it into your face with the fingers. Take some amount in your hand and with another hand massage it in.
