If I'm currently not using any chemicals and only water, how should I go about using this? I have tons of red marks. Bleh, lol.

Wow I'm shocked at how well ACV has worked for you guys but I was wondering if it would be alright to use while on Retin-A (Tretanoin) as well as BP and if it is when should I apply it during the day with BP or before I put on Retin-A at night?

Hi ;0)

ACV is not only for acne... I put my mom on to it about a month ago cause she commented on the improvement on my face. She asked me what I was using and I told her. She doesn't have acne but I suggested her to use it cause I read it is good for age spots and stuff like that. She had a couple of aged dots under her left eye about seven or so and she looks good for her age but her skin looked a bit uneven tone wise. All I can say is "WOW" on her results no lie for just a bit over a month. Using twice a day as a toner 2 to 1 ( she has mature skin). I don't live with her but I see her once every two weeks or so. Her results are awesome and she is so happy :) and so am I for her. It is like they are literally dissolving day by day... the dots were raised. And now they r shrinking to oblivion... I mean they weren't huge to begin with but it seemed threw the years she was getting more and more and they were gradually growing... still not a big noticeable thing. but it bothered her. Her face is over all better I would say 60- 70% percent improvement and i am being modest.

I've been drinking one tablespoon of acv in the morning and one at night. I got acv pills yesterday because I don't want to hurt my teeth and they come in pills of 500mg each. How many pills should I take to equal one tablespoon of acv?

i have a question bout the ACV mix. do u guys keep the acv refrigerated and make a new mix everyday. or do u make an entire mix with water and leave it at room temperature? Also how much do u guys use when applying it on? just enough to dampen the skin?

I'm using duac in the morning and differin at night. Im taking ACV orally but I want to use it topically as well. Should I use the toner on my face then apply the creams? I don't moisturize either, my face doesn't get that dry anymore after I switched from Oxy BP creams to Duac and Differin. I'm also taking Doxycycline 100mg 2x daily, would taking oral ACV affect this?

The main areas I want to treat are my cheeks which have some pimples, bumps, and black marks.

Thanks!

Allen

Can I use ACV on accutane? Like not a strong ratio 1:8??

And do I need to keep that in the fridge?

Do you wet your face before rubbing ACV on your skin, and can you just drink a few teaspoons each day and still get improvement? :)

I tried the vinegar tonight as a toner because I think the Paula's Choice toner is making my skin oily. To be honest, I really don't know whats making me oily. I massage my face with jojoba oil before cleansing and I've started taking fish oil pills... i use BP at night, and Retin-A in the morning..I use paula's choice BHA2% liquid before the retin-a, but i dont like putting the BHA liquid over the toner and then the retin-a because its so many layers, plus i have cotton balls coming out my ass and all these expensive cosmetics, its ridiculous. ...I haven't been using the Retin-A consistently I guess because I'm not sure if i even want to use it.. so I'm not blaming it on that even though some people say retin-a makes them oily. I assumed its my reaction to jojoba oil because even though i wash it off almost immediately, I've found that my skin is no longer dry. Oily instead with similar acne problems as always. I was on vacation for a week and didn't use the jojoba oil as much, but I was still oily. It really may be the paulas choice toner. hopefully the ACV will help. Its cheaper too. Any opinions or suggestions?

okay so after reading the forums I decided I could benefit from use of ACV. I have no active pimples at the moment (knock on wood) but I have such a nasty red mark from a cyst I popped a couple of weeks ago...So last night i put it on my face and today it is feeling a lot smoother and my makeup kinda of went on without looking blotchy and like I had 2 circles on my face (the marks are super close together making it kinda look like hugeee) My skin is mostly scraped off so I am not sure if ACv is good for that? does anyone know? but I mean the skin is healing back I am hoping this made speed it up?

thanks for this great info!

Hi guys, I went through the first 34 pages of this thread and then gave up trying to find answers to my questions, so here goes!

I have very mild active acne which I'm not trying to treat (it's a monthly hormonal thing - and it doesn't bother me considering the pretty severe acne I had a few years ago) - but I'm just trying to treat the red marks, and thanks to this thread I've decided to give ACV a go.

1. My current morning routine is: wash my face, apply ACV toner (50/50 dilute), let it dry, moisturise, and then apply makeup. I have pretty bad red marks so I feel unable to go without makeup. Is this going to affect the ACV at all? I'm just thinking about all the stuff that has been said about pH balance, and I don't know where makeup fits into that.

2. On days where I'm not busy, I add a step into the routine. I alternate between covering my face in Sudocrem some times, and Aloe Vera Gel other times. I don't do this on a daily basis, bascially because they take a lot longer to sink into the skin. I've also been trying out that sea salt water soak thing. Obviously I don't use ALL these things on the same day.. I alternate them. But is this too much? Should I cut anything out? Do any of these things stop the ACV working?

3. I'm wondering about ACV storage. I bought a little refillable spray bottle from a chemist and I've been filling that up with the dilute ACV whenever I need to. Does it matter that the bottle might be sitting around for a week or more before I need to refill it? Should a fresh solution be made each day or does it not make a difference? Also.. this stuff doesn't need to be refridgerated, does it? I really hope I haven't been applying stale ACV to my face.

Well that's about it... fingers crossed that this works, I only started yesterday! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me! :D

I've heard of people actually drinking ACV. Is this as effective as using it like a mask or w/e?

Alright, I'm just adding my name to the list here. I added 50/50 ACV/water to my regimen last night and I'll update with the results later.

I have very fair sensitive dry skin that has a lot of redness left over from a bad mix of hormonal inflammation and steroid rosacea. I'm hoping this will do the trick.
