ihatefriggenacne - your ACV is like everyone else's and i dont think there is an exp. date and if there is i doubt it would take you like 2 years to use it up. Vinegar is old wine.. and does wine expire? No.
kingofthecock - it wont harm your skin to leave it on over night in fact ACV will help heal your skin faster seeing as it has alpha hydroxy acids in it and it neutralizes your skin .. so at night your skin won't work as hard. So my suggestion for best results leave it on, dont wash it off.

does acv make your skin really red like a bad sunburn a few minutes after applying it? i consider my skin tough but this stuff leaves my skin dark red for 15-20minutes after washing off.
ok so last night i cleansed then put on acv then put on BP....and OMG in the morning...my face was 65% less oily then usual....its smells really bad...but the smell goes away after a while...im gonna start using this stuff during the day/afternoon/night...and hope that no one can smell it =)
does anyone else use baking soda before putting on acv? is baking soda essential or do i not need to use it?

about the blackheads- i'm seeing if that's gonna work. cuz i have soo many blackheads, but if ACV inhibits overproduction of oil (which causes the blackheads)... then shouldn't they go away? *crosses fingers*... THAT sounds too good to be true though. my blackheads are some tough fighters.
If it helps for everyting else, do you think it will help for large pores and blackheads?
I would love for it to reduce poire size .. i think i notice a small difference but it has only been three weeks things could drastically chnage in 3 months, heck in 3months i may not have any red marks at all and not black heads or hardly oily skin.
PS Mine is 'diluted with water to 5% acidity'. Should I still go 50/50 water?
Also, can you explain a little what the asprin does? I'm so over spending so much money on acne products, I'm willing to try this for awhiel!!!!!

all types of ACV are 5% acid so don't worry about that. You should dilute it with water (50/50). Some people use plain ACV but your skin may not cope with that so it's better if you dillute it with water.
About aspirin. It's actually salycilic acid, which you can find in many acne products. It basically unclogs pores and is antibacterial. So you may put a few aspirins in your ACV toner.
Even though it is diluted it can still sting and the smell is strong so stick with 50/50 for now then when u get use to it add more or just use full strength.
I read that putting two aspirin in your ACV Toner helps dry up the acne bc aspirin is essentially Salicylic Acid. So not only will you be getting the benefits of ACV but of salicylic acid too which is also exfoliates the skin (beta hydroxy acid).
I have not tried this, but from my research on apple cider vinegar, I know it can be highly acidic. If you are concerned with that, you may want to try diluting it with a pinch of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), because it will help balance the pH with alkaline.
I'm trying straight 5% apple cider vinegar via cotton ball 2-3 times a day for now.

I tried Apple Cider Vinegar last night for the first time. I have to say I'm impressed already. Although I didn't notice any less oiliness this morning on my face, a persistant zit that I have been battling for 3 weeks went down significantly!!! Just last night it was still painful to touch, now it's still red but flat!!! Yay!!!
I used straight 5% ACV with a cotton ball before I went to bed. The smell didn't bother me too much (it reminded me of french fries LOL), however my eyes were stinging a bit from the smell.
For now, I'm just going to use it before bed, then maybe I'll work up to doing it 2 or 3 times a day.
Has anyone noticed an improvement on shallow scars?

pumpkin- i think that as more people are starting to try this (smart people!), try editing your original post. i feel like more and more people will try it as more and more people continue to get great results (it's inevitable!) cause people are asking the same questions over and over. that way, people will know exactly why ACV works, how much to dilute it to, adjustments, 5% acidity, etc...
