If I want to take this orally, how many times a day would you guys recommend? And should I start out with less, or just those 2-4 tablespoons all at once?

Thx in advance :)

IMO... spread it out 2 tbsp in the am and two in the pm not to close to bed time.

added info: I been taking it orally for 3 months or so i think it has helped me with anxiety, hangovers and skin complexion.

OK this stuff is now making my face oily.

Damn it, I was getting my breakouts under control now I'm starting to break out on my chin again.

Fucking AAAAAAAA is there ANYTHING that will just not cause oil or make me breakout. Chris how hard is it to just stop breaking out. Fucking acne.

Sorry as you can see I am very frustrated at the moment.:doubt:

hey if you break out when you first start drinking ACV is the breakout just temporary or will you keep breaking out as long you keep drinking it?

I am not a major poster on here but after trying this for just over a week i thought i had to post.

This is brilliant and so easy and so cheap. I bought a bottle of Organic ACV from my local grocery store and was a little skeptical.

I have only previously used Dans BP gel and found that i did not need any moisturiser at all when using it, i just apply and thats it - my skin must be pretty tough.

I applied the ACV straight on (neat?). It stung for a couple of mins, my face went red for like 5-6 mins and then nothing, skin looked like normal. After using ACV like this 3-4 times a day for just over a week my red marks have remarkably reduced.

I am using this in conjunction with intense gel, for example every second day i will switch my night dies of ACV for a dose of intense gel. I was using intense gel for about a mont but would say since using ACV my red marks have gone down so much better so it is not only the intense gel the ACV is definately helping aswell.

I will note however that the ACV does NOT really help with clearing acne itself, only helps with red marks, maybe just me. I am still using BP, i wait like 15-20 mins after ACV and apply BP gel - again no moistuiser at all.

I still don't understand what people mean by when they say they apply it "neat" or whatever.

neat means to apply it straight from the bottle, no mixing with water. (think this is right)

in my opinion a moisturizer must be used all the time... I can see a huge difference in my face. I use ACV two times a day followed by lac-hydrin five both times and my face is loving it.

I have been using ACV both topically and internally and found its helped wonderfully. Plus it has the added bonus of making my eyes go super bright and my whites look really white. I have been taking 4000mgs of Vitamin C powder a day also, which I have found works wonders to reduce inflammation.

Can I ask if there is anyone using ACV and still applying copper peptide serum at night in place of moisturiser as i'm not sure you can use the two together, thanks.

THIS STUFF IS AMAZING, I've been using it for only a week and my skin looks 100x better, the red marks are gone and my skin has such a healthy shine, probably because I drink 2 tablespoons as well as apply it to my skin about 5x a day.

I agree Dolph... i didn't think it would work what with it being so cheap and all but it's working for me after about a week. I relied on salicylic acid to get me clear but it was too harsh and left a lot of discolouration, but the acv is taking care of that now and even dries up the odd pimple that i do get... i'm also using baking soda in the morning to exfoliate after cleansing and this seems to be increasing the effects of the acv

I'm going to do this ACV thing again. I used it last year for a fortnight or so and began seeing results and it was just one of those things I stopped but never really should have.

Patience is key I guess when it comes to red marks.

How long did you break out when started using ACV?

I think it was two weeks or so for me that I broke out. Yes, you should expect a breakout for a while, just like using BP. You definitely need to dilute it and moisturize after, too.

After having great effects with ACV for a year or so, where all my pimples went away although of course I only ever had mild breakouts, I've moved on to less harsh 0.2% salicylic acid OXY pads which are also working great. And better smell :) The great thing IMO about ACV and salicylic acid is regulating the pH of the skin and preventing pimples. There are some salicylic acid pads, for example, that don't have the correct pH, although OXY pad is in the correct range. Paula Begoun goes into this on her website, I think.

2 weeks ago i started using bp and broke out,it left me with red marks around my mouth and chin area. I started using acv a few days ago but i just wanted to know if it is one of those things that the body gets used to and you can never stop using it. i have pretty mild acne and I am 15 so I know it is hormonal. will acv stop me from eventually growing out of my acne.

I've browsed this forum for some time, but I felt the need to finally register.

I have to thank the original poster for providing the wealth of information on Apple Cider Vinegar, how to apply it and its inherent health benefits. I started using it as of yesterday afternoon, and I can already feel that my skin isn't as oily and feels a bit tighter. I'm drinking 2 TBSP (1 oz/30 mL) of ACV three times a day with plenty of water as well as liberally applying a 1:1 water-ACV mixture to my face four to five times daily. I'm sorry if this has already been covered (as helpful as this thread is, I don't really have the time to flip through 72 pages of replies,) but I was immediately turned off to ACV by its taste. I used a straw at first, doing the best I could to not let any of it hit my teeth but it felt like it was burning the back of my throat. I did a little searching online and found an answer that works great: adding 1/4 TSP (teaspoon, not tablespoon) of baking soda to your ACV/water drink. Doing this not only raises the pH of the ACV to a safe level where it won't erode your enamel, but it also makes it taste much better. It makes it taste a little like beer (although I'm 18, don't/won't drink and hate beer, it's better than it is normally.) Adding baking soda also makes the vinegar fizz like crazy, so it makes things fun too. Be careful not too add too much baking soda though, otherwise you can start belching (and ridding of gas in other ways) uncontrollably, and if you add enough you'll be sure to bring up breakfast (i.e. vomit.)

I can't wait to start seeing results. It's not that I have bad acne, I just have a lot of red marks on my cheeks and jaw. I could also stand to lose a pound or two, but that's just me. In the morning and evening I use OXY's Maximum Strength face pads after the ACV dries.

Again, I extend my deepest thanks to the topic starter and wish the best of luck to the rest of you. If I kicked a dead horse with this, I'm sorry.

4. I still occasionally break out usually hormones so I currently use Tea Tree Oil, Benzoyl Peroxide. Yes TTO is better then BP to me because it doesn't dry your skin out as much or interfere with the healing process, but I am pregnant and I cannot use TTO anymore.

This was my process with TTO ~ I applied TTO diluted with water, usually between 10 - 15 drops in a shot glass filled less then half way with water. I wait until my face is completely dry, then apply ACV wait until it is dry, Moisturize and I am done.
(for BP users)
After shower (or anytime day or night) apply the ACV Toner and wait until it is completely dried on your face, apply BP and wait 15min. Next moisturize!

HMMMM...

Do you normally apply a cleanser before ACV?

I recently been using a bp wash as a cleanser...Do you suggest I should change to a regular cleanser?

and a question about the green tea...does green tea help with anything else besides with wrinkles? like anything acne related?

much thanks
