Do you just splash it on and let it dry?

Anyone use it as aftershave?

Id imagine it would burn and sting incredibly if you put it on right after shaving.

I already tried it, not bad. That's the point of after shave. To prevent an infection because you scrape you skin with a sharp metal blade.

ACV works better than regular aftershave. Regular aftershave has a bunch if stuff like alcohol and color dyes in it.

Okay I want to try this, so let me get this straight, this is what I've gather from other post and here. All your doing is measuring the water and ACV together in equal amounts? how am I measuring this? teaspoons? tablespoons? And I read you can add green tea to, how are you suppose to add green tea to? one more question are you suppose to keep the ACV cold, cause I have a bottle already in my cupboard, that's been sitting there for a few months, since I tried drinking it, I couldn't drink it so I have a whole brand new bottle just sitting there.

I use an astringent bottle. I take the bottle fill it half with ACV and then half with water. If you use Green Tea just replace the water with that bc all Green Tea is water and a tea bag of green tea. Don't use a store bought brand of Green tea alrdy made like snapple bc that is all sugary and has a bunch of other unnecessary crap. You don't need to keep the ACV + Water mixture cold but if you want the ACV + Green Tea to remain fresh yes that has to go in the fridge.

I am really excited about this ACV treatment. I have been using it for 5 days and already I have noticed some fading of my redmarks, although my face did get a little burn during the first few days.

One question: Is it a problem if I still use a BP cream after applying the vinegar toner? What I do is after applying the vinegar I will let it dry, then I will apply Dan's BP medication to my face.

Does that cancel out the ACV effects or are they ok to use together?

May I ask wut ingrediant should we pay attention to when we buy ACV?

is there any brand you recommend?

is there ingredients that will irritate your skin?

Fermenting apple juice to alcoholic apple cider, and then letting the oxygen interact with it, turns the alcohol into acetic acid - one of the "magic" ingredients in the finished product. To help this process along from the alcoholic base, "mother" is added - that being the spider web look-alike bacteria foam that forms during the fermentation process."

http://www.anyvitamins.com/apple-cider-vinegar-info.htm

That website also has a huge list of what is in ACV.

No recommended brand.

ACV is an acid which can burn your skin if not diluted properly.

So is tea bag green tea alright? Just make it with hot water and let it cool down then add it to the ACV would that be ok?

Thank you for your recipe, how long have you been using it.

With his recipe you can use Apple Juice if you don't like Apple Cider. When I added ACV to Apple Juice I could hardly taste the ACV.

Swish your mouth with something alkaline - Baking Soda. Acid destroys teeth enamel so swish your mouth with BS and then brush your teeth.

So I've been drinking ACV for a WHILE now. And I thought it tasted great. Turns out, that's because the ACV we had in my house was pretty old, and apparently, it tastes better with age. B/c now I bought a new one, and it tastes AWFUL. So I bought a different brand, because I thought maybe it was just a cheap brand, but NO still tastes awful! I'm kinda bummed cuz I really enjoyed the taste of the old ACV we had. And apparently to get that taste again, I'll have to let this age 5 years lol 😛

It's still worth it to drink though.

I have been using this heinz brand apple cider vinegar for a few days 50/50 mixed with water. Is this brand ok? In the ingredient list it wrote: Made from the juice of apples diluted with water to uniform pickling and table strength of 5% acidity.

Wonder is this brand ok to use?

Well its been just over a week for me now and whilst I wasn't expecting much positive change, i'm a bit dissapointed to have broken out worse than I have in months. Recently, I havn't been breaking out at all, but its gotten pretty bad on my cheeks and neck since using this stuff, hopefully, as said earlier, it really is just clearing the toxins out of my skin and therefore temporary. Still, dissapointing.

I'll keep at it though, and on a positive note, some of my red marks to seem to be fading a little. Been getting a lot of sun here recently mind, so i've gotten a bit of tan which has likely helped but maybe the ACV is also having an effect.

I'm still not using a moisturiser simply because my skin doesn't seem to drying out that much, its less oily than usual (which is a good thing), but not dry or flaky. Thanks for the one you recommended above SmashingPumpkins but i'm in the UK so I would need to go for something else, I could pop into superdrug and have a look, but I really wouldn't know what to look for.

In case you're wondering, I havn't been measuring it exactly but I started on a 50:50 mixture of water and ACV but i've recently been increasing the amount of ACV so its something like 40:60 or 30:70. On a few areas, i've been applying it neat, because they're particularly bad. Don't know if i'm getting the measurements right?

As for drinking ACV, is this supposed to have a positive effect as well? And, likewise, is it worth drinking green tea as well as applying it to the skin externally.

I broke out a lot worse when I first started using ACV too, but after that it went away and now my skin has been much better. I also do think it's important to drink it. It sort of gives your skin a healthy glow. But it definitely is drying-- I don't see how you could do without a moisturizer.

I didn't break out when I first started using it on my face - I broke out when i first started drinking it, though.

Drinking it does give that healthy glow, more so then applying topically.

How many times a day do we need to apply this ACV toner? I apply it when I sleep but should I also do it after my bath in the morning?

Buy it from any old super market. Over here in the UK its called Cider Vinegar so keep that in mind if you're in the UK.

As far as I know brand doesn't matter, they should all be the same, but someone here can correct me if i'm wrong.

To summarize everything, from what I have read ... ACV neutralizes our skin it makes our skin's pH balanced hence, Oil glands do not have to work and pump out so much Oil is our skin is balanced. ACV in my opinion is essential for acne and oily skin. ACV does dry up the acne, reduced reddness and inflammation, heals your skin so it isn't too dry nor oily, and it heals red marks. Seeing as it does all this you probobly don't need anything else this moisturizes your skin, clears up acne, redmarks my god .. I wish I figured this out a looong time ago. As I was looking through all these websites I couldn't believe all the uses for something so inexpensive!

I really hope that all you reading this definitely try this because it does work .. just look on the internet if this isn't enough there are people who claim ACV has cured their acne, fatigue, helped them lose weight, arthritis etc.

I have noticed this .. seeing as the ACV is bringing our skin to a balance is also draws impurities out, so I have a small breakout .. nothing major just a couple on my right cheek and a few white heads on my forhead and one on my nose, nothing major. I have still been using ACV and BP both seem to be a great combo. ACV gets rid of all the reddness and makes me skin glow and BP just dries up what I have left on my face.

In conclusion, just try it .. I know it sounds like b/s because I thought that too, but after all this reading, it certainly isn't.

Hi guys, Ive been reading this thread in its entirety and I too have really oily skin. My nose most of all and on my cheeks. Im gonna try my nose first to test it. I have sensitive skin so any suggestions would be nice. Im gonna try this, hope this works atleast a lil bit. thank you all for sharing though!

I've been using acv for almost 9 months, Use it for atleast a month to see it wil help or not. As long as you start off using it diluted it shouldn't make anything worse. If you stopped using bp or others things you may break out but the acv really helped clear me up! Use Braggs brand, it's a brownish color.

how can i tie this in with exfoliating first with clean and clear blackhead scrub and right after i use clean and clear continuous control with 10% BP. should i tone after? so just fill a bottle up with half water and half acv?

also, how long untill you saw results and do i have to do the for the "rest" of my life like other products such as proactiv?

You'll see results in a few weeks. You may have an initial breakout for the ACV, but honestly, it was worth it. Use right after you wash (that's when you'd use a toner anyway). I wash with an SA exfoliating scrub, then I use a 90% ACV 10% water(with one asprin mixed in) toner. Then I put on my medicated gel stuff. So you could probably put your BP on then, but honestly you might not even have to use as much BP or any after the acv. I would make you sure wait a few minutes between the ACV and the BP so you don't irritate your skin. Start with something more dilluted too, I didn't use the 90/10 to start with, I used a 50/50.

And seriously, you need to drink it. I don't know why more people don't mention this. Two tablespoons, at least once a day if not twice. Makes your skin GLOW. It balances the ph from inside.

I guess you would have to use it for the "rest" of your life, but is that really so bad? Its like having to wash your face for the rest of your life... it's just a toner you put on after you wash, and WAAAYYY cheaper than proactive or BP or whatever. I got a jug I can hardly lift for 5 bucks.
