hi.

im currently using neutrogena's cleanser which contains AHA & BHA and if i also include this into my regimen will it make my skin too acidic? should i change my cleanser to a milder type or not?

i also read delna's method about using baking soda paste before the ACV... is that really necessary?

im really desperate for advice and help. please reply soon. thanks in advance!!!

p/s: also, can i spot-treat with ACV? or is it better to apply on whole face?

I just started using ACV yesterday. I put in on a small portion of my face and got worried because that part got red and looked greasy. Is this normal?

Yes, the part where you apply the acv should look redder after you just applied it. For the greasy look, i dunno about that. Does it feel greasy??? And please start out using a 50/50 acv toner. This means put half water and half acv ina bottle and use that. Also please use a cotton ball or pad and pour soem acv on it and then gently wipe on your face. Don't scrub it in or use a lot of acv.

I made the post in General Acne and Products .. no1 really made any comments about it. Vinegar i believe can b found in the dressing aisle .. there will be many sorts and kinda .. they are all 5% acidic i've never seen 100% you can go on www.vitacost.com too to get it, they also have ACV capsules which i plan to buy so not only will i be using it topically but orally that should give me really great results. im so glad this is working!

Did you ever buy the ACV Capsules? If so, how is it working for you and which product did you get? I see that they have couple of different options:

http://www.vitacost.com/productResults.asp...cider%20vinegar

I travel a lot, very hard to carry enough ACV for drinking and also applying on face.. I know drinking is better than taking the tablets. I can do that on the weekends. But M-TH, I would rather do the pills while I am on the road.

Also, what do you think about this one, as ingredients go (not cost):

http://www.natureshealthcompany.com/acvtabs.htm

Thanks a bunch

You don't neeed the Braggs one but if you really want it you can order it offline, I am sure in Canada you have your own generic brands of ACV.

I never bought the ACV tablets and I am def. not about to now, I haven't been on due to school and the fact that I am pregnant which equals extreme morning sickness for me so being on a comp. so long is just nausiating. As for my skin well my hormones are so out of wack right now that a few weeks ago my skin totally broke out and my forhead right now has pimples but the small ones that aren't red and now I get a couple on my cheelk usually my right. I havne't used ACV in so long because I moved and hadn't had time to buy any more .. plus bc my hormones are so out there right now I just figured leave my skin alone because eventually it will normalize. I plan on using ACV again asap now that I am out of school for a month I can actually be dedicated to that. Sooo there is my little update .. and alot of the questions many of you ask repeatedly like steps and how to do something is all on the first page I numbered it and everythign so there is no need to have the same questions over and over again .. it just gets frustrating for me and I am sure others who did read the first page.

Good Luck everyone and Merry Christmas!

PS. This new layout for Acne.org is really screwy lol I haven't been on in so long so to see this was a shock.. I still haven't gotten the hang of it yet.

GNC has it. Just bought one during my last business trip. Call your local GNC. If not, I would order it if I were you. I honestly thing that Braggs or any other one that has "Mother" in it, works better than Heinz, etc.

I'm asian and it has helped with the skin tone. My skin feeels smoother. For redmarks, I really don't know but it has stopped, but it has minimize my breakouts. I am currently using this and using Aloe vera gel and i'm seeing good results. Too bad i broke out to day lol dunno why

Did anyone else experience more oiliness while using ACV and water as a toner? Because I did. The first couple of days of using ACV made my skin less oily; however, that all seemed to change within a week or so of using it. My skin gradually got oilier and oilier and I eventually stopped using this method after using it religiously (twice a day, everyday) for about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm back on Dan's regimen and my skin is noticeably less oilier than it was when I was using the ACV. I guess ACV isn't for everyone. Anyway, I'm glad so many people are achieving great results with this method. Keep at it.

I was thinking along the line of ease of applying it to the back.

If theres any ladies here interested in an attractive guy and wanna help, let me know

But, yeah if theres any suggestions on applying to the back let me know.

Just use a spray bottle! I usually apply it to my face that way. Seems like it would be really easy to do it that way for your back.

Why can't you use a cotton ball on your back? Can you not reach? Otherwise, the spray bottle suggestion sounds good.

That might be a little bit wasteful, dont you think? Not that ACV is expensive, but you only need a cotton pad.

after using ACV, do the red marks usually get worse and then get better?

Cuz I seem to be getting worse, though I only used it for a day, I have never read that anyone used it having bad results and then getting better results.

Whats the best website to get ACV from (i live in england) and i dont really have much time to go out and get some, so a website would make it much easier :)

Also do you put 50/50 ACV on morning and night? or just night? And after you have put it on do you just leave it or do you have to wash it off after a certain amount of time?? thanks
