Im going to try and incorporate the acv with my current method of Cleanser then aloe vera gel. Does any1 do this current regimine and how would I incorporate the acv into this?I just bought FOTE aloe vera gel and I'm excited to incorporate it into my regimen 😀 Unlike you, I already use ACV but am now incorporating aloe vera gel. Anyway, I heard they work great together, and it should be really easy to incorporate ACV:
1) Wash face with your cleanser
2) Use the ACV as a toner (50/50 acv and water, or you could start lower like I did -- like 1/8th acv and the rest water. you may want to start slow if you have dry skin). Just apply it with your hands or spray it on, or use cotton balls/pads. Don't wash off the ACV, just leave it on like a toner.
3) When the ACV toner has dried, apply your aloe vera gel
Then of course apply your moisturizer if you're doing this in the morning, and at night too if you usually moisturize at night (I don't). Not sure if you're using BP or any spot treatments, but if you are you should use those after the aloe and before your moisturizer.
nice thanks for the tips
one thing I knoticed is if I don't dulite the ACV 50/50 my face turns red and burns which makes my face look worse than what it really is... and the little active pimples I do have bleed. why is this? is it the vinegar doing this? when I do 50/50 my face looks more clear looking (skin tone and red spots).I also tried drinking some ACV this morning and it wasnt a pretty sight as I threw up (probably because I used 2 tablespoons instead of 2 teaspoons in a .5L bottle. I guess I'll try it out again only using 1 teaspoon in a .5L bottle.
If you arent usr to undiluted ACV it is going to burn your skin .. it is an acid after all and not everyone can jsut jump inot using straight ACV.
Also I suggest not drinking ACV with water bc it does taste really gross and instead use Apple Juice or Apple Cider mized with 2 -3 tsps of ACV. Because this way you can hardly taste the ACV.
Can you just drink it instead of applying it directly to your face? Will that be just as effective?btw thanks for the tip! I'm getting a bottle today.
No, the way it helps with red marks is if you use it topically as a toner. The only skin benefit I've read about drinking ACV is that it can give dull/pale skin a nice rosy tint, but that's all. But a lot of people are drinking it so I asked if it helps with redmarks/acne. No answer yet, but I doubt it. There are other benefits to drinking it as far as digestion goes, but I think drinking it regularly is probably too much. It's an acid, after all.
Hello! Ive been doing this for at least a week and my face is alot smoother, and im going to try to do this every day for at least a month. I really want to get rid of my red marks. Im going to try drinking alittle but of it with hot apple cider with a straw, I hope dosn't taste bad =) thanks for posting this!
Wow, this morning I didn't use ACV for the first time in a long time, and I actually got a few small pimples! This is after being clear for the last few weeks! I guess the acidity of the ACV really does make it hard for new breakouts to occur. Not skipping this again! hehe.
I just applied it and my whole face has gone red 😐 I used about 75% ACV and 25% water. My skin is quite sensitive maybe I just have to get used to it.
Yes, that's quite a strong mix of ACV. I started out with just 1 part ACV and 7 parts water, and that actually worked really well. I have normal-dry skin. Now I use 50/50 and that works great too. Definitely don't try over 50/50 if you have sensitive or dry skin!!! Especially when you're just starting out.
^ astraea, I get the same thing. If I go without ACV for a day or two, I start to see pimples come up. It's weird, it's vinegar, but it definitely prevents acne in my case.
Good to know! I've been using so many new things lately, all of which have been working for me, but I guess the ACV is really what has stopped any new breakouts.
im scared to try this regimen properly because everytime i applied the ACV toner onto my face for 10 minutes, more whiteheads seemed to appear to next day :/. how long does it take to see results for the average person btw?
if you stop using it bc you are getting white heads wait until the white heads go away and do it again and still get whigte heads and continue this process you eon't get very far in this regimen. You are breaking out simply bc your skin isn't use to it. Use the 50/50 solution atleast once starting out .. before bed probobly and you will see a difference and the white heads will subside. There is no rush and nothing can be fixed over night.
Does the vinegar smell strong when you apply it?well yea but its suppose to go down. Now are you suppose to apply this all over or just your red marks/?
lol why can't I get an answer? Now are you suppose to apply this all over or just your red marks/?
you dont HAVE to apply it all over your face.. but most people do because it benefits the rest of your skin.
i apply it all over my face, let it dry, then apply full strength soley on the red marks.
Right guys tried this for the first time and done it for a couple of nights now, afterwards my skin on my forehaed and nose is really shiny like a bowling ball.........this is providing much amusements to my family but is pissin me right off.........has anyone had this or can they tell me why it is doing this.. it doesnt happen to my cheeks though???
