has anyones pores gotten bigger b/c of ACV??
No. My pores are smaller and cleaner. Some are not even visible anymore.
Hey, didnt feel like reading every page to see if this was asked.. how often did you apply it.. morning and evening?
Also, I plan on putting it on in the morning after cleaning my face, and night as well with a cotton ball.. but, after I put it on, should I leave it all on day (in the day), and go to sleep with it on my face (at night). Thanks
Morning and evening. SmashingPumpkins says more throughout the day if you can. After you apply it, leave it on. Don't wash it off! It won't benefit you nearly as much.
yes this happened to me. my zits started to bleed, but i thought it was a good thing. i think it is! it like it pops it for you 😀
same here
So like, what do you guys do? 😮 Leave it alone?
Ahh. Help me. I now have lots of zits with dried blood on top. Eww!! 😯 What should i do? Scratch the blood off or something?
Try gently wiping with a wet tissue to remove the dried blood. If you pick it off, you may take some good skin with it and cause further damage and a longer healing time.
I've been using ACV for about a month, but I didn't see any results. I even thought that it might be causing me more breakouts. Don't know if it will even work on my type of scars. Should I contintue? I finally got a camera so I can actually show what it looks like now.
Complaining and refusing to use it because it smells bad is so stupid. You dab it on and 30 seconds later the smell goes away. OMG NO I CAN'T TAKE 30 SECONDS OF VINEGAR SMELL, IT'LL KILL ME.haha...
ok i suggest you act more mature before posting in this thread, because i am too tired of immature complainers who are too full of themselves to try soemthing different .. and yes it does fade. "Complaining and refusing" you talk like somone has you at gun point making you do this.

the pic is kinda blurry but it looks like typical redmarks to me, no reason why it wouldn't work. Are you diluting it?
lol, yeah Smashing Pumpkins, I believe that person was saying that OTHER people who "complain and refuse" to use ACV are stupid. They were just making fun of the people who can't take the smell. Things often get misinterpreted over the internet... lol.
Well I finally started using the toner as a 50/50 solution. I use an old spray toner bottle, but the 50/50 is kinda strong so when I spray it, some tends to get in my nose/eyes and that is really unpleasant, so now I kind of just apply it with my hands.
I'm hoping to see quicker results now that I'm using a more potent mix though.
SmashingPumpkins or anyone else,
I don't have much acne ANYMORE but I have so many redmarks on my cheeks and chin now. The old redmarks on my chin from about 1-2 years ago are fading but I keep getting new acne. I don't pop the zit yet I get a red mark!!
So I'm wondering from reading some older posts if the ACV get's ride of NEWER scars faster than olderscars? I hear ACV can ride of new scars in a week or two?
Also like NO acne products make my skin irrated or peel so maybe I can start off with 100%? And does this get rid of redness? Redness is a problem for me but concealer covers it for me. Oh yeah does this also lighten for your face, I enjoy being tan:)
quick question to any ACV user
I ran out of my briggs organic ACV, placed an order online for a gallon of the briggs organic ACV and havent recieved it yet so I went to the store and bought the heinz ACV and was wondering is this ok to use? I read the ingredients and it contains the same stuff and is 5% acidity. I would rather use the briggs organic but I have no choice other than use this until I get it in the mail.
any comments or thoughts? thanks

Newer scars always heal faster than older scars if treated, so yes, ACV should work quicker on newer scars.

I just use some generic brand. I also just noticed that it is 5% acidity. I guess most vinegars are around that level of acidity. It's still definitely very strong! Is Briggs 100% or something?!
I'm thinking organic vinegar is kind of unnecessary. I mean I would think the acidity of vinegar would kill any pesticides that would be found in normal apples.
i am suprized many people still use this, well it works great at first but then it makes things worse, be careful
I agree with yuppi, would you mind expanding upon how it "makes things worse"? By just saying something like that and not providing any details, it's kind of hard to take that statement seriously. I've seen the ACV toner listed on many other informative websites as well as other forums, so it's not like it's just something Smashing Pumpkins made up.
In fact, "ACV toner" yields over 3000 results on Google, and it has a rating of 4.3/5 from almost 200 reviews at MUA:
(This is for the Bragg's brand, but a lot of reviewers just talk about ACV in general)

Ok so I dont really have what you would call acne...I just wake up throughout the week and notice I have two huge zits...which of course piss me off more than anything cause if it wasnt for those my face would be perfect...So anyways i use cleansers, astrigents(sp), face wipes etc... all to just try and clear up those two little bastards and of course all the stuff i use on my face cause yet another one to sprout up...leaving me wondering what the hell is the point of using that shit if its just gonna cause another zit...so i got on here and discovered all the hype over ACV so I decided to give it a shot...Low in behold it worked my face is flawless and perfectly toned...good lookin to whoever suggested it...
good to hear
I really think that all the over the counter drugs people buy just make the face worse (for some people) just for the simple fact of all the chemicals used in the product. I've used BP for the past 3 years which did it goods and bads but I had to see a derm (which I went to about 6-7 weeks ago) which she prescribed me doxy (taking it 2 times a day at 100 mg), benzacllin and a cleanser for night time. Let me just say im only taking the doxy right now, using cetaphil & dan's cleanser and finally applying ACV morning and night. My skin tone has gotten so better , im ALOT let oily looking and the ACV is fading red marks... not as fast as one would want but it does its job (and I can see a difference myself). I use the braggs organic ACV which is awesome. I have a couple deep redmarks from previous pimples but its going to take some time for those to dissapear but as for all the other red spots they're turning pink and fading nicely.
I've probably repeated myself a 100 times but im just trying to give some feedback from my expierences with ACV to colt777 just incase he hasen't read the whole 57 pages sorry
edit: I'm really thinking of drinking ACV and it says on the back of the bottle "bragg vinegar health drink" and gives dir on making a drink, what does everyone do when drinking ACV? what do you guys mix with it? on the bottle it says to use 1 or 2 tsps of organic honey, 100% maple syrup.
theres a good ACV thread going on also in the 'Mild to moderate acne - whiteheads, papules and pustules'......
one thing I knoticed is if I don't dulite the ACV 50/50 my face turns red and burns which makes my face look worse than what it really is... and the little active pimples I do have bleed. why is this? is it the vinegar doing this? when I do 50/50 my face looks more clear looking (skin tone and red spots).
I also tried drinking some ACV this morning and it wasnt a pretty sight as I threw up (probably because I used 2 tablespoons instead of 2 teaspoons in a .5L bottle. I guess I'll try it out again only using 1 teaspoon in a .5L bottle.
Yeah, 5% acidity should be ok. That's what mine is, and that seems to be what most normal vinegar is.
You don't need to refrigerate it because the nature of vinegar is that it doesn't go bad. That's why you don't have to refrigerate a jar of pickles, because the vinegar keeps them fresh.

Thank you! I guess i should get it out of the fridge then... 😀
Im going to try and incorporate the acv with my current method of Cleanser then aloe vera gel. Does any1 do this current regimine and how would I incorporate the acv into this?
I just bought FOTE aloe vera gel and I'm excited to incorporate it into my regimen 😀 Unlike you, I already use ACV but am now incorporating aloe vera gel. Anyway, I heard they work great together, and it should be really easy to incorporate ACV:
1) Wash face with your cleanser
2) Use the ACV as a toner (50/50 acv and water, or you could start lower like I did -- like 1/8th acv and the rest water. you may want to start slow if you have dry skin). Just apply it with your hands or spray it on, or use cotton balls/pads. Don't wash off the ACV, just leave it on like a toner.
3) When the ACV toner has dried, apply your aloe vera gel
Then of course apply your moisturizer if you're doing this in the morning, and at night too if you usually moisturize at night (I don't). Not sure if you're using BP or any spot treatments, but if you are you should use those after the aloe and before your moisturizer.
