Alright, I am really confused about this ACV stuff. I've been using it for the past three nights as a 50/50 solution and have gotten mixed results. First of all, I have really, really oily skin and this has just made it worse. I know there are people here who claim that it has cured their oily skin but for me it's just the opposite. Also, my skin just looks weird...stripped! I have small bumps on my cheeks and forehead and also a huge cyst on my chin since I started using it. On the other hand, I had a cyst on my cheek yesterday. So, I put some ACV on a cotton pad and just pressed it on the cyst for about 5minutes. After 10minutes I couldn't find the cyst anymore when I went over the spot with my fingers. I couldn't believe that it made the cyst go away so fast. I dont know..I'm just going to use it for another week to see if it'll completely ruin my skin or be my cure. I am just so desperate...i dont know what to do anymore ;*( This oily is ruining my life..

Oh and I also drink ACV. I put 2tbs in a 0.5Liter bottle. Every time I drink it, it burns my stomach really bad. Do you guys have this problem? I mean, it shouldn't burn THAT bad because I diluted it or? Is there anyone that takes it straight?

i drink ACV straight.. its never burned for me. sometimes i get a little funny feeling, but i think its just cause the taste is revolting. maybe your body just isnt used to the acidity.

as for the results you have. when i first started, for the first 2 weeks, my face was all over the place. it takes a little for your skin to adjust to it. but i decided to wait it out, and keep trying. and im glad i did, because once your skin adjusts, you should see improvements for sure.

dont give up yet. 😉

Water + ACV = DISGUSTING! When I was drinking it I found the best way was mixing a couple tsps of ACV with Apple Juice or Apple Cider this way you cna barely taste it.

Maybe you skin is super sensitive and you should try diluting it even more if your skin feels "stripped". I know after I stopped using it for a while when I first applied it .. my face went really red and it did look a little stripped but when I wake up in the morning my face looks so much better and even toned. It seems like it is rapidly exfoliating ym skin which is great. I also recommend using a really good moisturizer, this way youir skin will be more calm. I use Vaseline Intensive Care - Advcanced Healing with so fragrance. I also mix that with a couple drops of emu oil and it works great at keeping your skin supple.

You could also try mixing the ACV with Green Tea, I suggets this bc Green Tea is full of antioxidants which would benefit your skin.

I coudn't find it in here, but do you have to use distilled water to dilute it, is that better??

If you did that, you would have to shower and/or wash your face with distilled water also!

alright thanks for the reply SmashingPumpkins, I'm going to ask my mom about picking up some for me next time she's out. I'm not sure If I'm allowed to use it on Tane, but I'm sure its not that big of a deal. These redmarks are moving a snail's pace at going away and I want them gone! they make things look way worse! I feel my skin is smooth and then I look in the mirror and there's those stupid marks, just sitting there...:doubt:

hopefully within a month I'll see some good results.

Wish me luck and thank you for making this thread! :D

Hey Smashing Pumpkins, could you give me some tips about using Neosporin?

Will it help with old scars or just new ones? Do you even put it on already formed scars or just on broken pimples or on active pimples?

I just bought some but I read earlier that the clear gel kind is no good... it didn't say creme or gel on any of the packages so I just got the original but it's a gel. Is that ok? (Actually I got the store brand, but it's "compare to Neosporin's original Ointment")

Thanks & sorry for being a bit off-topic :)

Is ACV like BP, can the skin become dependent on it ?

Thanks for the comments guys...Pumpkin, my skin doesn't look irritated at all. When I apply the ACV it doesn't even burn. It just feels really, really tight after couple of hours and then it gets super oily. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just a warning to those drinking ACV:

http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/acvinegar.html

many benefits listed EXCEPT it destroys tooth enamel

but I read on that page mixing with baking soda can nutralize it.

just bought my supplies today for my skin, no plans on drinking it yet.

I dont drink it, but it is 100% on my face right now, takes the newer marks away very effectively and will hopefully have similiar results for the longer marks

Yay, a fellow Pumpkins freak. ;) I'm going to try the ACV for the red marks. the stuff just smells so bad I gave up on it quickly when I started it a while ago.

Dont give up, evutually when you have a peel or light laser, vinegar is the only thing that decomoposes the oil to get it off.

The apple cider vinager is different, and works well 50/50 dilution.

I have started to dring a tsp. quickly! each day in O'Juice...I have felt better evergetically.......

Putting on topically does neutralize the ph of he skin, and make it moe even.

For me anyways........

well i've been using ACV 50/50% for 10 days now, had my doubts about it at first but its really proving why I kept using it... im also on doxy but the combo of both (if the doxy is working) is really helping. I may get a small pimple but it turns to a whitehead within a day and is gone within 1-2 days. im getting my skin tone back, the redness from all the years of BP is dissapearing and im feeling better about myself. my face isnt 100% clear of redmarks but they're turning pink and fading every single day.

I really dont know why people would bash ACV, what work for some may not work for others but ACV is working for me. I'm also not oily anymore so maybe the ACV is in fact balancing my pH... I only expect my face to look better with continue use of ACV. if you people need something to reduce oil and help with skin tone/pimples in general I would def try ACV. I'm using the expensive kind (braggs organic raw-unfiltered apple cider vinegar) "with the mother" and it contains no preservatives. I'm actually going to buy the gallon jug online since I know it does work for me. I'll keep you guys posted to let you know how my face looks after a months use of ACV.

Hey there! (:

I've been following this thread for some time and a few days ago I decided to try this ACV thing out.

Anyway, when I applied it on my face with a cotton ball I noticed some of my zits get started bleeding and I didn't even use force! :/ Is this like, supposed to happen?
