I saw results after a week, but for a big difference about a month. But, you are also on accutane so who knows maybe sooner.

Over 1,000 Posts thats so awsome! Thank you for everyone who believes in this method and I am glad so many of you are getting the desired results you hop0d for.

This stuff sounds GREAT. I'm gonna get me some.

One question - my skin is quite red and sensitive. ACV won't make it any redder or sensitive, will it?

I'll probably try this ACV stuff too. Smashing Pumpkins is a genuine chick, so I know you wouldn't just fuck around! My face isn't the issue, it's my chest. I have these pink and brownish marks...SO annoying. Hopefully ACV will help it fade? What do you think?

oh no! i hope i bought the right stuff

the kind they had at my local grocery store was the OZARK brand. It says apple cider vinegar and it says its 5% acidity.. thats bout all it says... did i get the right kind? i remember someone saying something about having "mother" in it and that it should say its "raw" [unpasteurized] on the bottle and i forgot about this.

is this kind okay to use??

I have some weird no name brand that just says "cider vinegar" and 5% acidity and it's def working so I would think that what you got will work too.

the brownish stuff you said at the bottom of ur ACV is a good thing, it is called "the mother" its all organic so if yours says it has mother in it that is a good thing bc t is raw and organic ACV. I havent found any at my local grocery store so I just buy a generic brand.

ima reply to this because I first heard of this about, well 15 months ago on this site, the original regimen was to use this and then an egg/lemon mask as well, which coupled with the regimen was quite a bit

so anyway I used it sparingly and saw some improvment but was just too lazy and really stopped caring

I rarely break out anymore and when I do I use the ACV and the mark is gone within a week or so, which is great

problem however is my older marks which I have yet to really work on because I havent sustained this regimen for any extended period, my skin feels great but looks horrible, these red marks are so fucked up! and Ive had them for upwards of about 2 yrs

point being is that the ACV does work, believe it, if you break out, use the ACV on it, it will work, I think the jury is still out on the long term marks, but if they treat one type, hypothetically they would treat the other, just probably going to take some time, so I will start using this ACV again, I use a full strength type and jus rub it in with my hands, use alot bc its so cheap and really work it into my marks, was only doing it once a day, I would jus wash my face quickly then put it on, let it sit for about 15 then take my nightly shower, put on the csr, aveeno lotion, smoke a cigarette and pass out lol

have winter break from college comin up so will hopefully be able to sustain it and keep everyone updated

by the way to the fellas out there, u might want to think about growing a beard, unfortunately im a snr in college and still cant grow a full beard but it provides coverage, just another thing to think about, peace

i can't grow on either and i have no acne. wtf? do red marks have something to do with it?

nahh I dont think theres a relationship there, however where my marks are, due to where I broke out, is along my facial hair line, nothing on my nose, forehead etc... so in my instance a beard would really help, I been shaving as much as possible but it really irritates my skin and makes it look much worse after

I think the red mark relationship everyone is looking for really has to do with bp and excercise, it seems to be the consensus that bp makes them last longer, which wouldnt surprise me bc I really didnt have any until I started this bp, but its a catch 22 bc without it I run the risk of breaking out and im really afraid of going off the bp, I have thought about gradually going off just to see how my face responds but the csr is so cheap its really not worth it, just damn if I could get these red marks to go away I would be fine, its so frustrating

the other point about excercise is quite simple, just take a look at any professional athlete or college athlete for that matter, I assume the constant excercise really benefits the skin turnover rate, I know when I was in hs I only put some clearasil on at night, played on the basketball team and my skin was great, if I broke out monday, it was gone by friday

alrite, well I have nothing to do today besides the osu-mich gm so im prolly gonna start the acv once this afternoon then again later this evening, keep updated

I coudn't find it in here, but do you have to use distilled water to dilute it, is that better??

why would distilled water be any better? distilled water is just water without ions ... it is pure but i doubt it would make a difference.

when i was using ACV, i dont think it contained the 'mother'. because it was just an orangey clear water, it didnt contain any cloudy stuff. but still worked okay.

I use 100% ACV - is that normal?

It sometimes burns my back but never my face - or not anymore Oo.

But i went from 25% to 50% to 75% over a period of 3 weeks though.

I just have to say I love it as a toner!! When I work and sweat, my skin is not oily and it is not dry either.

I am so glad I found Smashing Pumkins thread. I'm going to try it in my hair too! :D

Soo happy, the painful cysts I had on my back are going away. RIght now they're dried up and don't hurt anymore. I've been applying 100% ACV twice a day to both shoulder blades.

i just started using ACV, I purchased the Braggs Raw-Unfiltered organic ACV and im loving it. it def reduced the oil on my face and only have 2 days of use my face is getting its tone back. the smell doesnt even bother me and im going to start using 100% ACV at night after a week. I currently just use it morning and night and really dont care if people can smell it on me because its doing ME good. I just love the fact that my face looks normal now without all the oil. cant wait for the 3-4 week period to see how my face looks than. i'll keep updating from week to week to give a heads up

I worked all day yesturday, came home and looked in the mirror... face was still looking nice especially my forehead where it always looks greay/shiny looking after a 8 hour shift at work. so far so good and I can only see me benefiting from ACV.

Hi Pumpkin this is Mimi..filnally I know how to post it!! yess!!

i just tried ACV 3days ago right after i read your topic and the from other website, I put ACV full strength on my face and left it all the first night(i didn't put anything after that...normally i use Bp by DDF ..way more expensive..and Cetaphil Lotion) the next morning my face looked and felt great but on the 2nd day, I noticed that I got tons of small rashes on my forehead so this morning 9 am,i just diluted it 50 ACV/50 Water. I now at 10 pm have still SMALL(very small like sand) rashes all over my face esp my FORHAED but no new breakout...Should i continue using it???? I dunno if i should wait or stop now. Is it supposed to work this way first. Ohh, I'm drinking it 2tbs--3times/ day too. Thanks so much for your time. You are incredible !!!! mimi

I would and do only leave it on for 15 mins at a clip, allow it to set on your face, dry and then wash and clean your skin

I certainly wouldnt recommend leaving it on for such an extended period, that is what most likely is causing your rash
