Where do I get these Oils of lavender that you speak of? and my face has enough oil why put more?
You can get lavendar oil, jojoba oil, and many other types of oils used for cosmetic purposes at GNC stores.
The Clear Skin Regimen suggests jojoba oil, which I bought at GNC and have been using for a few weeks. It was about $7-8 for a 4oz bottle, but you only need a few drops each time you use it, so it should last a very long time. I mix it with my cleanser because it can be drying, and also with my moisturizer if my skin is a little dry.
Jojoba oil is very similar to the natural sebum found in our pores that causes acne. So why would you put it on your face? Well, unlike sebum, jojoba oil is non-comedogenic (doesn't clog your pores!) and it makes your skin produce less oil, because it is fooled into thinking there is already oil/sebum present when you apply the jojoba oil. In that way its great for regulating oily skin. It's also a great moisturizer for dry skin.
Hope that helps!

your local supermarket, or a chemist. i got mine from Coles (im in australia). i only suggested it to hide the smell of the vinegar. Yes its an essential oil, but its not greasy on your face, i put this on every night with my aloe vera gel.
I think i have stated this amillion times and just recently on the last page posted what to do for the smell.
Are you diluting the ACV? because fi you feel burnign when you apply Benzoyl Peroxide it is probobly bc you aren't diluting the ACV. If you are wait longer for the ACV to absorb into your skin.

hehe yes i read about it
i just bought a bunch of samples on mineral makeup and i gotta save money for xmas presents so i'll continue to buy more junkies after xmas >.<
hope my skin is good for the holidays T_T
Soo I've been doing this for a couple weeks now, and my skin is really starting to clear up because of the ACV toner! It's clearing up more than it has when I've tried anything else, and I've tried A LOT of things in the past few months, including the basic Clear Skin Regimen (and also the baking soda/ACV wash-off regimen). I'm still using BP and I think it's finally working for me, since my skin isn't super-dry anymore thanks to the ACV, so the BP can clear my skin without making me dry out and break out.
I'm also using a new cleanser (from Desert Essence) which is all-natural and has tea-tree oil, so I think that has helped too. It was really drying at first but I just mix a few drops of jojoba oil with it.
But most importantly, the spots are fading!! hehe.
I've been taking pictures and I'll try to share some as the results continue to improve *knock on wood*
Oh and a kinda funny story: I live in a dorm apartment, so I just have my ACV toner in a normal water bottle. I accidentally left it by the sink, with the top off, last night. I noticed it this morning. And I was worried my roommates probably thought it was something really weird... our toilet was clogged so I even thought if they smelled it they might think I like peed in that bottle or something. LOL
Also my mom keeps telling me I should wash off the ACV toner in the morning because it "smells" and I shouldn't have it on during the day. She just assumes it smells all day if you put it on your face and don't wash it off. HAHA. I first read about it in another post and following those instructions I would wash it off, but now I see that's really unnecessary and totally takes away the benefits that it gives your skin! It really balances your skin, so now I use it as a toner and don't wash it off.
I just got the CSR today the cleanser and acne stuff can i use it with the ACV toner?
Yes! I use it with Dan's CSR BP gel and my skin is really clearing up. It seems to make the gel work better for some reason... before it really didn't work well on me.
Just use the ACV as a toner after you wash your face with your cleanser (and leave the ACV on, don't wash it off!). It should be easy to incorporate into your regimen since the Clear Skin Regimen doesn't include a toner anyway.
If the CSR products dry out your skin, the ACV will really help.
i think it def. would mine arent huge but i have two really red ones and they are def. fading .. my acne is mild now .. but i am also 19 it was like 4 years ago.
So, Do you rinse it off after? Someone else posted something about in the morning ; washing your face with a sensitive face wash, then using baking soda to exfoliate, then ACV BUT to rinse off after 10 min. Then at night ; doing an egg white and lemon mask for 10 min. to get rid of marks.
So, I guess what i am asking, do you do any of that as well or have heard of it???
And, do you rinse the ACV off after 10 min. or leave it on?? I heard it was bad for your skin to leave on and or to use full strength.

Who told you or where did you hear that leaving it on was bad for your skin? If it was so bad I would have noticed something by now. There is nothing wrong with substituting it for a toner .. if you use it a couple times a day thats fine .. I mean don't do it like 8x in a day but just using it regularly is fine.
If you wash it off what would be its purpose? It isn't going to do anything if it is just being washed off. So don't wash it off, I never have.

I saw that other post in this forum too (by delna). That seemed to work pretty well too. I only did the egg mask once because it's kind of a hassle to make, but it was pretty nice. But I've started leaving on the ACV and not washing it off, and that really works much better. And I don't use the baking soda much anymore because I think using it every day is bad, especially if you have active acne. Maybe I'll just do that like once a week now.
Daughter of Eve, I have to point out that I love the photograph of the little robin in your avatar.
Thank you!
honestly I dont think it helped you. Your acne was like nothing. If I had that kind of acne I would just take some acutain and it would be gone in a week. Your treament would never help someone like me with cysts. Sorry to flame you.
I took Accutane for cystic acne. It cleared me up (it took longer than a week), but after I stopped taking it, the cysts came back. Now I have things under control with the BP. Every time I got a cyst, it would leave a very bright red mark, and I always had several show up at a time and new ones every day. So the combined red marks and active zits made my face look like it was covered in zits. If I apply BP using Dan's method every day and don't skip even one day, I don't get new zits. I have been using ACV for the red marks for a couple of months, and it is definitely helping. Now I don't look like I'm totally covered in zits anymore. Also, my skin is not oily anymore thanks to the ACV. My point in telling you this is that Accutane is not the miracle cure everyone makes it out to be. I wish I never even bothered with it. Since you have cysts, ACV will not help those. It will help with oilyness and the red marks left from the cysts. Don't be so quick to judge.
wow! i read A LOT on this thread!! i couldnt read ALL of it though. i want to try out this ACV stuff.
I think I might only use ACV at nighttime but I am not sure yet. Maybe start only at night time and then start in the morning also. i found on this site:
3 cups distilled water
1/3 cups ACV
Put in a container
SP: is this what you basically do? you said before you use an astringent bottle..[16 fl oz i think u said before]..soo you jus fill it half w/ ACV and the other half water? i read about the shot glass thing also. thay may be easier but i want something i dont have to make all the time. keeping it in a bottle will prolly b nicer.
i WAS on the CSR but i recently stopped [i was on it for 3 months..didnt like it] so right now i am doing this:
-"dip" method [if you havent heard of it you just dip your face in hot water for a min] theres a thread on this site about it.
-wash my face w/ Kiss My Face olive bar
-get in shower
-put jojoba oil on my face [3 drops]
-wait 5 mins and then put a LIL bit of Dans BP on bad areas [im gradually getting off this!]
-wait 5 mins then put a lil bit of aveeno ultra calming moist. on
-wait 5 mins then put makeup on [will be using mineral makeup soon!]
so thats what i do!! its the same at night but no makeup & no jojoba oil. so when i use ACV i should...?
-wash my face [prolly b using the Kiss my Face bar still..its huge! haha]
-put on the ACV w/ a cotton ball
-Dans BP [maybe..if i do use it will be a LITTLE bit]
-Moisturize [if i need to]
i think thats right.. but can i still use jojoba oil with ACV?? you said something about Lavender oil before does that do the same thing? and i would just put acouple drops in the ACV mixture right? Or you said something about Tea Tree Oil or something?
every other night i think i might try that egg and lemon thing. if i do i want to wait awhile to see how this first thing works.
anyone can answer these questions for me!! what woud you all do?!? thanks muches!!
i have another ?ion.
how do you all put Tea Tree Oil on? do you use the face wash kind or do you buy the kind you can just put on your face? How do you use this with ACV??? do you add some drops in your mix or what???
i was at GNC and they had Lavender Tea Tree Oil

or this link http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?produ...rentPage=search this is what i will prolly get if i jus put some drops in the ACV...
Thanks muches!!
I'm really concerned about my redmarks. I'm on Accutane now so I'm still in the process of purging the acne in my skin but I've got scars and redmarks from breakouts BEFORE accutane. Months. They fade very slowly, I know they'll fade but they look almost as bad as active acne and make things look sooooo much worse than they are. I'm tired of covering up with minerals (that only lightly cover them) and using spray tan (which makes my skin look shitty tones because of the unevenness of my skin complextion).
I couldnt read all the posts but I'm really interested in starting. I have a question though. How long will it take to see NOTICEABLE results on this regime? I know it varies but I'm wondering how likely they are to fade faster.
