Really, ACV turned my redmarks to brown marks?
I don't know. Before using ACV, my redmarks always turned brown and stayed there forever, well, maybe fading slowly.
So, I guess, for me who is a chinese asian, redmarks always turn into brown mark. I guess, nothing to do with ACV.
Lol, could be an asian thing for us two! I just try to forget it, so it wouldn't bother me as much. I've been using it almost a month now, and will probably use it only at night now since I didn't notice any improvement. Let me know if you're going to try Hydroquinone :).

I try Hydroquinone before (not on face) for a brown mark for 6 weeks. It turned the brown mark to red, so red. Since I applied on a larger area than the brown mark, my brown mark got bigger (almost the area of apply). Ok, the red is gone now, ya, Hydroquinone did lighten the brown mark a bit.
I used it again for second try. The brown mark still turned red, so red again. Well, I stop now. I don;t think I will use Hydroquinone. Maybe kojic acid?
when i used hydroquionine and retin-a together for about 3 months, it did fade my red/brown marks. i found it got rid my brown marks more than my red ones. (im asian btw). but i didnt like the side effects (over-sensitive, excessively oily skin, skin tone unusually lighter and kinda redder overall).
then i started breaking out again = new redmarks.
currently im going the natural/holistic route now (diet, supplements, sleep, ..... and eventually exercise... ha .. ha.. lol), and topically using aloe vera gel. its been a little over 3 weeks. my marks are fading a little faster than normal, but i still get the random small new pimple every few days. very discouraging... but i will give this new route a good solid 4-6 months and post if i see drastic improvement
This is was I intially started using ACV for redmarks .. then came along the fact that it controls oil and exfoliates. So if you wnat to cheaply and gently exfoliate ur skin use this, or control oil, or get rid of red marks. I wish I could put on ACV like 5 x a day like I was for about a month .. now it is hard just putting it on once. Today I will be bat school from 8AM to 7PM ... omg! When I get the chance I will post pix. Hopefully this weekend will be nice.
JC83 ACV doesnt have to be for red marks only... for me it also controls oil which is great, and it exfoliates really gently too
Yes. ACV definately greatly reduced my skin oilyness, not sured that it gently exfoliated.
But, since my redmarks have turned brown, I stopped ACV (my skin oilyness still in control).
HOW LONG UNTIL YOU'VE SEEN RESULT PEOPLE!
im curious, and everyone is ignoreing me, lorddd
Well since ACV provides several "results", I'll try to explain the best I can.
- You will have less oily skin right after applying the ACV.
- Your skin will begin fighting acne off better right after applying ACV.
- Your skin will become noticably smoother minutes after applying ACV.
- Your red marks may begin to fade a week or two after using ACV religiously. Maybe even after a few days.
Hope that helps.
FYI you could have probably found your answer somewhere in this thread, but I must say there are indeed a lot of pages. 😛
i apologise for comming across rude , but i made about 3 posts in this thread askin the same questions, and ive gone threw the thread numerous times, but didnt find my answer.. 40 pages is krazie haha..
ive been on it for about 7-8 days now, pure ACV no water ( got really tough skin, not sensative at all , doesnt even burn when i put it on ) and i havetn seen results yet, i thought i read in here it takes 3 months, that why i was curious
but thanks for your help ..
W00t 800th post in this thread.
Alright I've read up to page 5 and I'm just going to ask these questions even if they've been asked before. My acne condition wouldn't be considered moderate or even mild, but I do have these annyoing red marks. My skin is slightly worse than yours in terms of red marks. I have a couple of questions I'd like to ask you, and maybe other people can chime in as well.
1. Do you think I should wait until the one-month mark of my CSR to start using ACV? I'm barely on day 6.
2. Can I incorporate 30% glycolic peels after a while or will the ACV be enough to solve this? I'm hoping to absolutely get rid of my hyperpigmentation.
3. Does ACV make your entire facial complexion lighter? I'm assuming it does since sprinkling vinegar on my salads always make my lips white due to the acid.
Oh yeah Smashing Pumpkins is a GREAT band by the way. Love Disarm and Bullet With Butterfly Wings.

3 months lol no. I have been using it for almost 3 months 🙂 unfortunately everything for me right now is out of wack. I have to figure out a schedule and get re-organized.
If it is nice this weekend I shall take pix.
I started this last night and did notice my face is less oily this morning plus one spot I have been trying for weeks to heal looks much better this morning. My question is this - what type of cleanser are you guys using? I notice when I use the acne cleansers my face is actually more oily during the day. I read another thread that said to just try the good old regular dial soap. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and I did notice my face was less oily with it. So is it ok to continue to wash with the dial and then do ACV after or should I switch what I use to wash my face?

I use Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash form the BodyShop. It works great, is cheap and lasts me for 3 months.
