hey what do you guys think of this idea / if its ok to do or not..
apply 50/50 ACV than after like 10 mins apply some ALOE VERA
i have an aloe vera plant that my mom tells me to put on for my face but im just wondering
u think itll be cool if we apply both?
hey 2hard2pwn,
yes u can do this.. this is what i do too at night only. im loving it! try it and tell me what you think. Always when i wake up the next morning and i wash my face, my face feels so smooth, cuz of the exfoliation from ACV then smoothing and healing my skin with aloe. Its a good thing that ur mother suggested this to you, especially using organic aloe. I have many aloe plants in my garden, inc. different varieties, but i use FOTE, 'fruit of the earth's aloe vera gel', cuz i am going to use more aloe than what my plant can grow 😆 so i just use this gel and lots of people use it, but its always best to use the real stuff. Also if you do use the aloe plant from your garden, their a many different varieties of the aloe plant but there are only a couple of aloe's that have the beneficial properties. You should be using 'aloe barbadensis', which looks like this (below)

so yer, please tell me what you think if you go ahead with this.
Hope i helped you.....
PS. and its okay to use these together (acv and aloe), havent had a bad reaction or anything so yer

acne1989, instead of smooth, is your redmark faded?
probably a slight improvement, but probably today or tomorrow i will post pictures in my log, so you can compare my red marks from what it looked like 3-4 months ago. but i think my red marks a very *stubborn*.... though luckily i havent got scarring (like holes) just red marks
look out for my log.

thank god for no scarring.
if i had scarring i would go crazy.. red marks and hyperpigmentation is bad enough
i like acv.
HEY SMASHING, i think my idea of TTO is working....BUT I READ UR POST WHERE U MENTIONED THAT IT BURNT UR SKIN....then wat did u do???? TTO works gud for me...i think better than BP....
It burned my chin:( I went over board with Tea Tree Oil and ACV .. was using Tea Tree Oil like 6x in one day lol .. it felt nice and was keeping me away. So my chin got all scabby 🙁 it is ALMOST GONE! thank god .. I had to deal with that for like 3 or 4 days .. and my makeup looked awful! The scabs basically came off so my chin is more pinkish .. better then dark purple marks that is for sure.
I'm not going to read the whole thread, and this Q may have been asked 100 times, but i'll risk asking it.I finished accutane 3 weeks ago and love having non-oily skin, it hasn't come back much atm which is good, so I'm going to start ACV to hopefully fade some redmarks left from tane, which i'm not too worried about however, and also use it to limit oil, how much does ACV limit oil production from the experience you guys have had with it?
It significantly reduced mine. Over the summer I was oil free for hours .. then school + stress hit and it doesn't last hours 🙁 .. humidity wasn't helping either and the fact that I wasn't applying ACV like 6x a day lol .. the more you use the faster you will see results.

I see not problem .. I use Aloe Vera as a moisturizer sometimes bc ACV makes it so I don't need a heavy moisturizer anymore.
Unfortunately the rest of my body does 🙁
--------------------------------------
I loove answering everyone's questions .. and don't think I am not replying as often as I use to bc ACV isn't working anymore. It is just when I could reply instantly I was out of school with loads of free time .. my b/f would be at work alot so I had all day to do nothing. Now I am in college and it is demanding, and my schedule it all over the place. Today I had an 8am class that was 50 min .. then I had an hour to do nothing .. worked at the Campus Daycare or an hour .. had another pointless hour, then came home and spent some time with my b/f just so I could go back to college for 4 and I didn't get home until 730 .. if I had an actualy lab today, I wouldn't have been home till 930 .. so yea it is alot especially on wednesdays.
update!
the initial ACV breakout on my right side has faded away, just redmarks left now. those seem to be doing ok, haven't noticed significant fading. it has done some good stuff for my moderate-severe acne though. left side of my face is almost free of zits, the acv breakout is still subsiding. my skin does look better. the only thing acv didnt do so far that i thought it would is stop my skin's oilyness. my skin is a little less oily, but still pretty oily. i just bought some dove spf 15 deep moisturizer so im going to start using that in the mornings after i put on AcV. i'd been using olay sens. skin moisturizer for the past 2 weeks. overall, i'm happy with the ACV so far. i think itll take me another few weeks before my skin gets to where i want it to be (brown marks, no zits )
Is this smart thing to do???:
I have used ACV for ~1 months and now I have stopped, and reduced washing face, will wash face about 1 times a week. I though, if it takes 30 days for our skin to completely renew, then using ACV for 1 month and stabalizing oil and pH levels should help.
I have been using ACV and stopped last monday.
Because I am not sure whether I have redmarkssss or brownmarks (see attached).
ACV greatly reduced oilyness and improved overall skin tone (minus the redmark/brownmark), but did not faded the marks.
So, are these red- or brownmarks?
Hmm, I might have a few brown marks too. I think they were first redmarks then turned brown, but I'm not too sure lol. ACV wouldn't help brown marks? I'm afraid to add more step into the regimen.
Yes. First redmarks, then turned into brown marks.
ACV did not fade the my brown marks.
I hate brown marks. I would rather have redmarks.
hey this thread is very interesting,
i started the ACV about 4-5 days ago, with pure ACV about 2-3 times a day
now i just have 2 questions ( i apologise if they've been asked i just dont have the patients to read 40 pages :S haha )
1.) im confused, i read a post in here sayin ACV can turn red marks to brown ones? is that true?
2.)also i know everyones skin is diffrent, but im curious as to how long on average until u see results?
thank you pplz
Really, ACV turned my redmarks to brown marks?
I don't know. Before using ACV, my redmarks always turned brown and stayed there forever, well, maybe fading slowly.
So, I guess, for me who is a chinese asian, redmarks always turn into brown mark. I guess, nothing to do with ACV.
