Quick question, when your zits come to a head (i.e. the pus is showing), what do you guys do? do you try to pop it? i usually do (i know i shouldn't), and if i dont, the skin over my zit usually comes off when im washing or drying my face (even though i do it gently) and the pus comes out anyway.

an update:

the right side of my face is completely zit free except for one dying pustule..left side of my face has about two new zits (smaller ones) and one larger new zit (one that hurts). the previous breakout is still subsiding. red marks are still red...though for the past week or so i'd been washing teh acv off twice a day and leaving it on once, which i realized i wasn't supposed to do lol. so now i wash, then put on the acv.

I only mess with whiteheads, I swear mine never heal on their own, once their ready to pop I prick the top with a needle and get all the white stuff out of there and let it heal on its own.

I don't trust my eyes so I took some pictures earlier for a comparison with the one from last week. They're almost 100% identical :P, so I'll wait for another week :).

How long have you been using ACV?

You don't trust your eyes means you actually see result in the mirror?

They're almost identical means photos show no improvement?

Smashing Pumkins:

1) Have you tried anything prior to ACV like hydroquinion (sp?).

2) Like to hear your history on trying products prior to ACV just so I may like clear my bathroom of junk.

3) Will try this but keep forgetting to buy it while shopping :(

Anyway even if my redmarks are stubborn, the oil and stuff I hear it helps. Good!

4) Does it help with your zits. If only whiteheads, not me, I get below the skin bumps now, hardly noticable, but if not treated with BP, they can sure festure.! Any problem with these kind.

5) Can u use BP after? I am not happy ith my toner so I will try this, just forget to get it!

Regardless I am going to give it a go, I have 3 kids one is 10 mos. old, and yes I am braindead grocery shopping, apple fights and all  .

I am young, they are young, and boy you become like forgetful!!!

You can PM me or just post, watever is easier for ya! And best fo everyone o'course.

Thanks :D

1. Yes - Glycolic Acid, Hydroquinone, Jessfoliation (manual exfoliation) and Salicylic Acid. Hydroquinone doesn't work because it is meant for brown spots like freckles, not redmarks.

2. ACV does help with acne, it dries it up. When you first start using it you will more than likely breakout, this is bc your skin will need to adjust. So do not stop if you break out, wait for acne to subside and use ACV again, because the acne will only come back. It is a process but, worth it.

3. Yes, I use BP after sometimes .. the only thing is if you use BP regularly it will take you longer to see results bc BP slows down the skin's healing process.

Good Luck with 3 kids, I work at a daycare so I know how demanding children are.

I just added like 3 a few weeks ago, I don't think it does much.

Yes, that's what I meant lol. Easier to crop the photo and make the comparison when they're right next to each other. I've been using it for 11 days.

Well, I stopped the ACV regimen about a week ago. It broke me out pretty bad; however, if you no longer get acne and you just want to cure your red marks- USE THIS! Not long after I began, I saw my red marks fading- but the new pimples gave me new redmarks. :P Vicious circle...

I'm not sure if it breaks everyone out, but it did aggravate my acne which was the only downfall. The ACV does reduce oil, even skin tone, and fade red marks.

Me too. I have been using it for about 11-12 days.

I can see improvement in the mirror like great tone (minus the redmarks) and less oily. Even my sister noticed the improvement too.

But, when I took pictures for comparison (pics can't show improvement in skin tone and oilyness), the redmarks still look about the same redness lol.

I will still use ACV and hopefully until the pics show result.

aww ok. get a digital camera and take a pic w/ the flash on (in complete darkness). then if you see an improvement, its working. you can't really go with, "i think i see an improvement."

Yeah, same here haha. I did think my redmarks improve when I first woke up, but that's only after 10+ hours of sleeping :P.

So the red marks are better one day and worse on others - the same ones?

bhavish,

I LOVE tea tree oil. I sometimes put it on before I go to bed. It really fights my acnes (but not redmarks).

Since many have said that ACV is good for redmarks, I think adding tea tree oil to ACV toner is a good idea lol (acne + redmark).

I will try, maybe the bad smell of ACV will go with a few drop of tea tree oil.

hmm I never even thought about that .. but Idk what would happen, if the tea tree oil would be just as effective in the ACV Toner. You should make a sample .. like take a shot glass mix some water, acv and tea tree oil and see what happens .. and def let us know!

I will try, maybe the bad smell of ACV will go with a few drop of tea tree oil.

Just add Lavendar .. I plan on buying Lavendar in the ACV because it will get the smell away and all the wonderful healing effects of lavendar. I get stressed out alot, and I read adding a few drops of lavendar to boiling water, hold your face over the steam will def. relax you. I have a mini-face sauna at home so i just use that 🙂

hey , i used diluted tea tree oil(TTO) in water all over my face at night and let it dry....and then i applied the ACV toner all over my face....my face looked great in the morning....i think its a gud combination....i'll make a sample like smashing said and use it for another 2 days and then will post the results....and if everything is gud then i plan on adding a few drops of TTO in my ACV toner...
