i just started using the ACV for 4 days.but i just use 50/50 ACV and water. i dont mix it with aspirin.
and now i got some new breakouts. before this my face was clear
for few months. lol.
so is this just an intial breakout or my face not suitable to use
the ACV??
No, it is fine, your breakout shoudl heal alot faster. I got a small breakout but within a week it was gone. At night I always use ACV undiluted and during the day i use well for of a 70/30 or higher solution rather then 50/50 seeing as my skin is use to it now. The breakout will subside. Mixing it with aspirin isn't such a bad idea bc aspirin is good for inflammation, so that may help. Aspirin doesn't work on red marks, I have tried it and it made them go away for like a few hours then they just came back. I would recommend using aspirin on the new pimples you go just so the inflammation goes down. You know hor to make the aspirin cuitable for your face rgiht? After leaving it on for like 15min just wash it soff and I would apply your diluted ACV and moisturize. If you have BP that would work probobly better then aspirin.
bleach as in a permanent solution?
I really do not know, I have just read from other people and the internet that Lemon's bleach your skin so that is why I would never use lemon incase it is permanent. I do not wan tto wlak around with ghost white face and a tanned body. That would look rather awkward.
Lemon and Cucumber bleach your skin ACV doesn't bleach it just heals and exfoliates.Good idea to mix lemon with ACV?
hmm I really do not have an answer for that one, maybe that would be over kill seeing as both are acids, you do not want to burn your face. Mayeb you could alternate. One day use ACV 3x a day then the next Lemon 3x a day. It is your decision. I have never used Lemon so I cannot give you a straight answer.
Lemon and Cucumber bleach your skin ACV doesn't bleach it just heals and exfoliates. It also helps get rid of those nasty broken capillaries. I have read many women put ACV on those veins on thier legs and they go away.
Leg veins?!? I have those!!! I am definitely going to try that. Do they use it straight or diluted?
Oh, SP, I've been putting the ACV 50/50 on my neck, back, chest and shoulders for a few days. Here are the results thus far:
Neck:VERY soft and smooth (like a baby's bottom), no new bumps, a really painful bump was just brewing the first time I applied the ACV and it was almost gone by the next day
Back:very soft and smooth, small 'sandy' bumps 95% gone
Chest:very soft, smoother but not perfect yet, no new whiteheads, small bumps are fewer in number, splotchy skin tone has evened out
Shoulders:very soft and smooth, red mark still visible, I can't tell if it has lightened at all but it's only been a few days
*Even if the ACV didn't work for red marks, oil, etc., I think I'd still like to use it just for the softness factor!
I read that the women just use straight ACV on their legs.
I hope within the next week you see a definite chnage 🙂 I know the smoothness is so nice, it is as soft as a baby's bottom lol.

yeah i got a breakout too, but it healed a bajillion times faster than normal. plus, every pimple i've ever had has left a redmark. the breakout after using acv actually didn't leave one single red mark, which has never happened before.
I burned myself with ACV--I have a leftover red mark for over a month. I think it may be permanent.
did you use full strength? I couldn't use ACV full strength for a while either bc it was too strong and it burned a little. But just diluting it for a while is fine then swithcing to full strength won't hurt. I don't think the burn is permanent.

This is because ACV can clog your pores and cause breakouts for some people.
where did u hear it clogs pores
Tap, I have seen you post this information several times before but I'm unclear on your reasoning. Could you please clarify?
I've only posted it when another user has said ACV has caused them to breakout. The mechanism behind the growth of acne is a clogging of the pores which leads to postules forming. Thus, my reasoning is that ACV may clog the pores in some individuals leading to acne.

Yes, I am familiar with all of that. I am interested in your reasoning as to exactly how ACV would go about clogging the pores.

Yah I don't leave ACV on. I wash it off after 10-20 minutes. I think there are other properties in ACV which can make your skin look better however. I remember reading the ingredients of ACV and it also contained several different types of vitamins. I use AHA lotion for my red marks instead.
I follow Delnas method and so far I've been getting no pimples and smooth skin.

Well that is good as long as you are incorporating it into your regimen somehow, because it is very beneficial. I just recently started drinking it because I found out Apple Juice makes the ACV less noticeable.
yo.
i just bought a 16oz bottle of store-brand 5% acv for $1 today at the store.
put it on once today. it seems like there is less oil after 6 hours. i'd estimate that there is 50-60% less oil.
im surprised, it really doesn't smell all that bad. i just leave it on and let it dry.
I'm gonna try this again tomorrow and see the results.
If this really kills off the sebum production, then that'll be the shit. I don't need these damn sebum glands on my face.
Here is Where people rated ACV on acne.org. There are mixed reviews some like it some don't. It all depends on your skin. I never expected this to help everyone but for some it def. will and it will help them to stop wasting money on useless products.
Been using it for about a week, hasn't made much of a difference yet on the red marks. My skin (which is very very very oily) is still oily ..though I only wash my face in the morning and before I sleep at night. My skin tone has improved a bit. So far the only significant effect from my use of the ACV is that a lot of dead skin started to show up (which I think is a good thing, the dead skin comes off when I brush the cotton balls over my face). I've broken out a bit though
Hello SmashingPumpkins , I'm planning to try this a week after I can fully adapt to AHA since ACV is stronger. I noticed the area near my eyes are lighter, and area that I've use BP and Lac Hydrin Five are sorta tan. Is it safe to use ACV on eyes area when my eyes are closed to even out skin tone? Thank you in advance.

yeah thats ok just dont get it in your eyes. it is probably going to burn still even if your eyes are closed.

What solution are you using and how often? Using it once a day won't make too much of a difference using it atleast 3x a day and increasing the solution will give you much more noticeable results.

I actually wipe my cotton pad over my eyes and it doesn't sting or anything. I have yet to get it in my eye. Start out with a 50/50 solution for your 1st week then add more to your bottle of it, and use full strength ACV at night.

You mentioned you broke out and you stopped well like everything else it always gets a bit worse before better because your skin needs to purge and get use to the product. There is no product that gets your skin better and better from beginning to end it always gets a bit worse then gets better and better. Just something you have to expect with skin.

Tap, this is maybe the fifth post of yours I've responded to concerning the hypocrisy of what you say. You claim ACV doesn't work because there's no scientific reasoning to back it up. Then you go on several different threads and claim ACV clogs pores. Your justification? "reasoning". Last time I checked, the "reasoning" of one individual does NOT make things true. I've also noticed that you never respond to posts that directly contradict what you say. For example, you posted how ACV is extremely corrosive. Then SmashingPumpkin posted how it's dangerous only at certain concentrations. Your response? Nothing.

As for me, I broke out on my forehead too, and I rarely break out. However, any pimple I have ever had has left a red mark -- except for the breakout I got after starting ACV. If you have time, maybe you should start ACV when you know no important event is coming up or something, so you can get over the breakout. It clears up really quickly! About the oil production though, ACV initially got rid of almos all of my excess oil. Once I started school and started stressing out like mad, however, I started getting oilier, which sucked. eh, you can't have it all :doubt: 😎
