I've been using ACV every day for a week now and will continue to do so until about Sept 22. I'll be taking pictures each week for comparison.

My red marks are pretty frickin bad, so this will satisfy those people who are complaining about SP's pics.

I don't use any other products and wash my face with normal soap. So far, I haven't seen any noticeable difference, but let's see if this will change with more time.

HEY, JUST WONDERING....i hope ACV is not harmful for eyes as i'm not able to open my eyes for a minute immediately after i apply it on my face...i dont know the scientific name for what gets in the eyes from the acid...

Its just cos the fumes are quite strong, don't worry about it. It won't do you any harm!

Everyone:

Has anyone tried putting ACV on their neck (really sensitive skin); or chest, shoulders and back (tougher skin)? I get a few bumps on my upper neck near my jawline that leave red marks. Also, my chest has a lot of bumps on it with the occasional whitehead and lots of red splotchiness. My shoulder has a red mark on it from many months ago, and my back gets the occasional bump and red mark. I don't want to use BP in these areas (except for the neck) because I don't want to ruin my clothes. Besides, it's not too bad there...just annoying.

I use ACV on my neck and chest all the time and its great. Works just as well on there as on the face. I used to have a teerrible time with jawline acne, but the ACV doesn't irritate it or make it worse, it really helps.

I find that if i have a particularly big or painful spot, holding a cotton ball soaked in ACV on it for about 10 minutes really helps it.

Anyone who can post pix of results I would be more than happy!!

I will Post Pix 2morrow and soon Put all my Pix on the first page so everyone can see the difference, so that everyone know I am not making up lies.

I have pics in my gallery.

MrRedCheeks, I just looked at your pictures, and I can see a difference! It's not dramatic, but it is definitely there!

Thanks, Vikster. I will definitely be using that tip on the big ones!

SmashingPumpkins, I just started ACV last night. I couldn't wait anymore for the bumps to go down like you suggested a while ago because they just keep showing up. Anyway, people say it helps dry them up fast, so here's to hoping! And don't worry, I'm taking pictures. This morning I thought my face felt and looked smoother and I swear the red is already faded slightly! Go me!

I havn't used bp for a while not until yesterday because of the whiteheads..i use 50/50 dilution..one side of my face is very clear but the other side has lots of whiteheads after using ACV..who knows.. i maybe allergic..but I do take it internally and love it..

pink, I just had a thought. The side of your face with the whiteheads...Is that the side you always put the ACV-soaked cotton ball to first? Maybe that side is getting more than the other side, and it is too much. Or maybe that's the last side you do and it doesn't get enough. Is that the side you tend to hold the phone on? I recently noticed that I have a tendency to press the phone to my face and touch my face with my hand while talking, and I have more spots on that side. Just a thought...

🙂 I am glad you are going to be posting your results. Why Sept. 22 though?

Washing your face with regular soap just to let you know, is a real no no. It dissolves the outer layering of protective layer on your face and is very harh on your skin. Buy something pH balanced. www.gnc.com or www.vitacost.com Kiss My Face products I think are all pH balanced.

Try using a spray bottle with ACV on your back and chest. I haven't put it on ym neck because I do not need to, have you tried BP on those small bumps on your neck, I know Dan doesn't find anything wrong with BP on your neck. You cna try ACV on your neck, I mena if you want me to I can put it on my neck and see if anythign bad happens? I use it on my jawline, and no irritation.

hey whats up everyone. im on page 5 of reading this forum. but i started using the ACV about a week ago. i ordered a bottle from www.vitaminworld.com for 3 bucks + shipping. I'm applying it nightly before i go to bed.

how early should i expect to see results?

i hate my red marks 👿

Hmm if you are using Bp regularly probobly a bit longer because BP slows down your skin's healign rate so maybe 2 weeks. If you are not using BP you should see a difference with in a week. Even if it is not total change in a week you shoul notice - smoother skin, less oil and red marks turning pinker.

I have been using BP on my neck and it does help. It's not small bumps, though. It's big bumps like on my face and jawline. My chest has small bumps. My neck has the red spots left after the bumps which is what I'm looking to fade fast with the ACV. You don't have to experiment on yourself, SP. I'll do it. Thanks!

If You Hate The Smell

Spacebass had posted this, I do not know if anyone saw it. But he uses Lavendar in his ACV toner and he says the Lavendar covers up the smell. Lavendar is also great for SENSITIVE SKIN as it is very soothing and calming. So putting that on Before and mixed in witht he toner may help alot for sensitive skined peole. I want to buy some to make A) smell go away and B) use it in my mini sauna from conair :) Just don't ever put ACV in it OMG the smell of boiling ACV made me gag! lol real gross.

I actually got a drop of ACV IN my eye - I guess I had a little too much in the cotton ball and while I was swiping it on my forehead it fell in. It stung like you-know-what for about 20 seconds and then it just stopped. I know ACV has many health benefits but I doubt it's good for eyes. lol. Oh well.

Anyways, just a comment about how great ACV is . . . I have never found a better product since I started buying products. And that is about 15 years worth of products. I have tried fading peels for red marks, glycolic acid peels. etc, etc. Yet nothing has worked as good as ACV. My skin is so much smoother, skin tone is WAY more even, active acne is basically non-exisistent right now (just a couple of tiny ones), makeup stays fresher. I still have oily skin but I think it's because I put makeup on every day for work.

I am glad you feel the same way wishiwaspretty. Look at the pix non-believers and don't give me crap like your redmarks were small to begin with yea small and purple and clustered! so what if i didnt have that same amt, but were bigger, does size matter no, the fact that it has faded them matters.

Well, a few days ago, I heard, from this thread, that ACV fights acne and stops oily skin. Since I had a recent breakout, I decided to try using the ACV- no lie, in 4 days of use, the ACV cleared up my breakout (I now have 3 active acne pimples rather than 8.) The Vinegar also made my skin more smooth, tightened my pores, and is beginning to lighten my red marks. 🙂 I would definitely recommend trying this to people. At first, even the 50/50 dilution of the vinegar may be too acidic, but your skin will get used to the vinegar in a few days.

Lastly, I've seen that some people fear smelling like vinegar; the smell completely fades within 5 minutes.

Wow, routhman! That's great to hear! Did you take pictures?

I'm sorry to say that I couldn't- my camera has been broken for a few weeks. 🙁 I know that will make plenty of people doubt my claims, but, please, I'm going through the same thing as all of you: Why would I lie? I only want to help; I'll let all of you know the good and the bad (although I haven't yet experienced anything bad lol.)

My face is still looking nice, it seems to get smoother every day I use the ACV. I have had no breakouts as of yet. Today, I added a moisurizer to my regimen for the morning because the Evoclin seems to dry my skin out.

My Regimen:

Morning:

Gently Cleanse w/Cetaphil Antibacterial Bar

Pat dry

Apply ACV- air dry

Apply Evoclin

Apply moisturizer

Night:

Gently Cleanse w/Cetaphil Antibacterial Bar

Pat dry

Apply ACV- air dry

Apply Differin

Sounda like a good regimen except for the antibacterial soap, I used that one before and Cetaphile dried me out soo badly! I suggest Kiss My Face products which I am almost positive are all pH balanced. The GNC sells them www.gnc.com and www.vitacost.com

upload your pix at photobucket.com and then the last code is the code you use to make pix appear in a thread or on any webpage.

Offtopic: SP dont you think your eyebrows are too thin in the pictures?

Not everyone was gifted with perfectly arched eyebrows. Why do you care anyways? If you are referring to my first pic on the webpage I look nothing like that now and neiother do my eyebrows for that matter, try looking at my ghallery my eyesbrows are so much thicker then they were. I like them the way they are now 🙂 Not too thin not to thick. Eyebrows really are not that easy to shape unless you have a perfect arch which is rare, all those epople in magazines draw theres on, I know they look don't they but ther arent.

smashing pumpkin, if u dont mind i can give u 1 suggestion for eye brows...i dont want to make u feel bad in any way but u might like it afterwards......u can try going to an Indian saloon and get ur eyebrows shaped with a thread...they do it very well no matter what natural shape u have....but u have to b careful to get it done from someone who's been doing it for a year...and not from someone who just started doing it...

Apple cider has a high concentration of acetic acid.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetic_acid

Acetic acid is corrosive, and its vapour is irritating to eyes and nose...acetic acid is corrosive and must therefore be handled with appropriate care, since it can cause skin burns, permanent eye damage, and irritation to the mucous membranes
