No, no, soy milk isn't bad for everyone. I took an allergy test and soy came up on it! Therefore I avoid it. Soy is approved to be GMO so be sure to check if your soy milk/tofu comes from GMO-FREE soybeans. Soy has phytoestrogens and that mimics the female hormone estrogen and can mess your hormones up. I would have avoided it even if it didn't come up on my allergy test.

Soy:

* contributes to thyroid disorder, especially in women

* promotes kidney stones

* weakens the immune system

* contributes to food allergies and digestive intolerance

--------

I started the Vitamin C Serum last night. It didn't burn at all. Good thing I only applied the Daisy Glow Serum on a section of my face because I checked the ingredients and it has red algae under a different name and that was in the MaMa lotion which broke me out. I'll probably just keep starting the Daisy Serum slowly to see if it does break me out. The Daisy Serum has hyaluronic acid and that moisturized my skin.

No more mineral makeup for me. I wore it last night when I went out for my 21st birthday and when I got home it looked horrible and after I washed it off I got a new zit on my cheek which was odd. I skipped on the birthday cake because it's filled with white flour, dairy and sugar. I'm sure it would have made me sick after eating anyways. For dinner I had a steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus. That wasn't vegan haha. I wonder if I'll break out from the meat.

diluted oregano oil on the face. very diluted or it will burn your skin off. you can eat oregano in pills too i think. i avoid bananas because it is very high glycemic which you need to avoid. there are better fruits out there if you want inflammatory properties.

I've only been using the Vitamin C Serum for 3 days but I can already see how nice my skin is looking. I still have red marks but the overall inflammation is gone. I am very pleased.

neem oil is best for huge cystic acne that won't go down at all.

oregano oil for any kind of zit

vitamin c serum i don't use to help with acne but make your complexion look brighter.

i always use benzoyl peroxide 10%

don't worry. maybe combine a banana with whole grain bread so it doesn't spike your sugar levels so much.

can you buy online? vitamin shoppe was the cheapest that i found for neem oil or you could try amazon or ebay. if you have any health food stores, they will have all the stuff. my health food stores carry it but it's so tiny and overpriced so online was better for me.

no problem.

Hi acnejean. I have another log on the diet/holistic board, and I just wanted to tell you that your log has helped me so much. I never thought I could clear with diet, but reading this thread inspired me. And guess what, it actually worked for me too! I also tried the Likas soap thanks to you, and it helped me a lot as well. Good luck, your skin looks great :)

Aw, that's great to here. I try different cleansers but always go back to the Likas soap. That should be a sign, haha. That's cool, I'll check out your log.

i'm watching a movie on google called "Chocolate, Cheese, Meat, and Sugar -- Physically Addictive Foods" and he said that if you keep a low fat diet then you're less likely to get those pms cravings because fat consumption raises estrogen and that's the reason we get crazy food cravings and probably those breakouts.

wow.. no more chcolates and cheese for me, i have already stopped taking dairy..

So you have used Likas papaya soap.. I'm thinking about it too..

Where did you buy it from?

Have you ever used Dermalocica treatment foundation and the concealing spot treatment ( http://www.dermalogica.com/us/products.html#/products/skin-concerns/acne-and-breakouts/concealing-spot-treatment )

Your log is such a good help..

there is raw chocolate out there. it's the sugar and fat in the regular chocolate that is bad. i tried raw cacao but i'm not a chocolate person so i didn't like it lol. there are alternative cheeses out there, remember that.

i bought it from amazon. that's pretty much the cheapest place i've found and a bar lasts a very long time. no, i haven't use dermalogica, only their active moist and i didn't like it. i am so pale that i'm sure it won't come in the right color lol :(.

there are soy, tofu, even nut cheeses. i don't eat them though. what i did is saturate the cotton in the neem oil and stick it over the pimple and it won't drip. when i put it all over my chin thinking it would stop break outs, it gave me little clogged pores so watch out for that.

Here is a site that may help some people http://www.skrewtips.com/2009/08/06/natural-antibiotics/

I have used a lot of the things listed in the past.

Here is a recipe for a vegan pot pie. It is so filling and a good way of getting vegetables.

http://megsvegrecipes.blogspot.com/2004/12...ie-pot-pie.html

I saw no difference when I cooked it in the oven or skipped that step. I just eye the measurements now except the flour and it turns out great every time. I used almond milk, brown rice flour and no-chicken broth because it's free of tomatoes. I cook the crust on the skillet and it saves time.

I bought MyChelle Dermaceuticals, Incredible Pumpkin Peel for $22 at Iherb. It was surprising that the same day I bought it was shipped it out. I should be getting it in a couple days then.

It has good reviews on Makeupalley. I'm not sure if it'll burn my skin. Some people say it's harsh and some say it didn't even tingle. One review said it works well on spot treating a zit which I might add I don't have any on my face right now :).

I've been makeup free for a little over a week. I didn't touch my Olay Microdermabrasion Peel Kit because the reviews saying it broke them out. I'd rather try the pumpkin peel first.

Next time I go grocery shopping I'm going to try the green smoothies again. Every attempt I made in the past was unbearable. The reason it tasted bad was probably from the lack of a banana. I avoid bananas but I'd rather have a green smoothie that's bearable.

Oh and I might get grapeseed oil too but not sure.

I tried the peel last night on my entire face. It didn't sting that bad but rather tingling like it said it would. No major redness either just a lot softer and brighter skin. I doubt I can see any difference with the red marks after one use but I did wake up with less oil on my face.

I also tried a kale, peach, banana and apple with almond milk smoothie. It was tolerable. That banana really makes a difference. I have a headache after drinking it but it's probably from my LOUD blender.

I got two zits from PMS but thankfully the raw honey worked better than bp 10%. Bp 10% always makes them inflamed before shrinking them if they're the PMS type so it was surprising to see the honey not cause any and still shrink them.

Loving the pumpkin peel.

Now that inflammation is gone from my face I can really see the pock marks or rolling scars left behind. Of course it's on the sides of my chin where all those lovely breakouts mostly were. Not sure what I will do about those. I think my only option is a strong peel.

I have Neutrogena Anti-wrinkle cream with spf 15 coming in the mail today It has a retinoid in it plus spf with good reviews. A little hesitant to use that but I plan on testing it out in specific spots.

I also bought grapeseed oil that is cold-pressed. I have used grapeseed extract as a wash but it was too strong. My sister swears by that stuff though.

Oh and Everyday Minerals samples coming too. Yeah, might as well try it  .
