Thanks!

URGH! I can feel another papule forming on my bottom lipline. Its all puffy

BOOO - when you feel them coming up like you know it and they are annoyed and puffy - that's the best time to use the hot/warm water compress IF you can. If you can't but you're washing up and going out, great time to use a little bit of your tto after your topicals and before your makeup. It works to help decrease its unhappiness so when you get home, you can warm compress that little bugger to its death!!! Then, of course, tto it again because you know it wants to come right back to life!

Ciao!

I did apply my tee trea oil blemish stick to a couple of my lip pimples this morning. Some of them are right along my lipline

I am thrilled to say that that yellowhead I had that kept regrowing pus, I finally got the core of the zits out the day before last and today is formed a scab and then it fell off. I pray I dont get a new zit there again and the bastard is gone

Ive decided to cut moisturizer out of my night time regimen. I break out if I moisturize at night. I will of course still continue using it during the day

Hey!

I looked at your Feb 6th photos and the most recent ones on your above link for Feb 20th. I understand why you are frustrated with your right side, because it is not cooperating like the left! :excl: However, overall, it has been 4 weeks now on your new regimen. I'm assuming you're supposed to allow 4 - 6 weeks to see if a new routine is working, correct? So, would you say your spots look less inflamed/red/angry/big? Depending upon the shot, it appears they don't look as large/angry as when you originally began this new regimen. However, would you expect to be seeing better results by now? What are your thoughts?

Next up... regarding your above comments on your moisturizer... If using that moisturizer during the night breaks you out, why would you use it during the day? Wouldn't it still break you out? Unless, you are attributing it more to something else?

Im disappointed because I expected faster results. I would say my spots are less red but they are still just as painful and I still break out a lot everyday. Its just so frustrating. I think the fact that I sweat in bed and the fact that Im pressing my face against my pillow causes me to break out. I think I develop breakouts overnight. I think I break out more at night than I do during the day

Well, you know how people always say they break out a day after eating some food, or if they had a stressful time? There's a reason why we think this way. It's because the acne appears soon after that event. However, if you read up about acne, you'll realise that it takes a long time (4 weeks?) for acne to become visible. Before that it's just deep inside your skin, waiting to come out, but it isn't visible.

I don't think pressing your face into the pillow or sweating can cause acne to form the next day, unless it's an allergic reaction.

I break out every single day, not just some days and I notice my face looks worse when I wake up in the morning than it does before I go to bed

Do you pull your hair off your face when you sleep? I started doing that when my forehead was breaking out a couple years ago and I think it helped alot. I don't know what to suggest as far as the night sweats go. Is it hot or stuffy in your room? Maybe try getting some ventilation in the room by opening a window or turning on a fan?

I think if you are in a warm, humid environment that causes you to sweat, that might swell your pores which could pinch the follicles closed and push any clogged pores or pimples that are under the skin up to the surface. I know when I spend even a day or two in a hot, humid environment I get a flare up of tiny pustules along my nose/smile line areas.

Hmmm Molly....

Willow's thoughts might just be what's happening because of the hot environment your face is in at night. She might have hit upon something here! Also, I love having a fan for circulation of air around my face. It definitely helped with any sweating issues I've had in the past. It feels like fresh air, not cold air because I hate being cold, just circulating air. Since you said you noticed you break out in the morning, she might have just solved your problem for you! I  she has!

What do you think? ? OR :shake: ? haha I just had to take full advantage of our newest members of the smiley family here at the org! :boogie:

Yes I keep my hair far away from my face. I keep it behind my ears and in the back of my neck. I start off really cold in the night and then I get really hot. Im afraid to open a window because I live by myself. I definitely think humidity has to do with my breakouts. In fact, when it rains here I break out more and when the weather is humid I break out more.

OMG those new faces are wicked adorable! :shake: I like Kims idea but I dont think it would work. Id get cold in the middle of the night. There has to be some middle ground, a way for me to not get too hot or too cold.

I unfortunately dont think I will be able to be on the org much today. I have to do some continuing education on line to renew my CNA liscence. I only have 27 credits and I need 48 by the end of April or I will have no job 🙁 Have a nice day you two

Hi Molly!

I have just been reading along and unclear if you are sweating at night because it is so hot in your apt., or is it because your body is doing it, regardless of the temperature? Has that been going on for a long time, or since you started your new meds?

I cross my fingers for you, as I read how frustrated you are! When is your next derm appt?

haha They totally ARE adorable new little smileys!!! I feel smileys are the best part of writing posts - do you notice they don't suffer from acne? lol

Take as much time as you need away from the org to get your CNA stuff done! As I'm sure you know, acne will still be around when you return! :ohno:

lol no they dont suffer from acne, nor does food. Maybe thats why I like food

Today is not how I thought it would be actually. I went on line to a bunch of websites and I couldnt find anything on continuing education for my liscence. On a few of my thursdays off though, they are offering classes at this one private school. Im gonna go to all of them and if I have to, I can just take the CNA exam again. I also have been attending all the inservices at work.

In fact, I did quite the opposite of what I thought Id be doing today. I thought Id be working all day, but I slept for three and a half hours instead, from 1-4:30. It took me about an hour to fall asleep because I am so cold and I have goosebumps all down my arms and legs! There is a storm here and the trees are blowing fiercly. I am so exhausted! I feel like sleeping more. There is a possibility I have a thyroid problem and or anemia because my mom has a thyroid problem and vitamin B12 anemia.

My face just looks like such crap! I really am not noticing much of a difference. It is still extremely red and looks rashlike and it really really itches! I also have a few new pimples on my left side.

At about 8pm I washed my face which is when I usually do, I applied my clenia, waited about thirty minutes and then I applied Aquaphor to my nose. It didnt help. My whole face itches and I dont know what to do about it

Is this because your skin itches, or maybe is it some kind of skin issue, like seb derm? Is it a constant or does it come and go? Hope things improve!

Si.... I think so! At least that works for me! And just because you mentioned food, it got me thinking about my delicious dinner tonight. I had a yummy hamburger, mushrooms and onions sauteed in olive oil, then some cucumber salad, along with .... green beans!!! I told you how much I LOVE green beans! haha... Oh... ketchup on my burger too... I had to mention that just because I know you LOVE ketchup too!

Regarding your skin... I'm wondering if your skin is getting so irritated by the Clenia and dryness or if you have a little allergy to the sulfur? Dryness, newly forming spots, healing spots, some topicals, etc. all can contribute to itchy skin I've experienced in the past. You have said before that your skin is very sensitive, so it naturally would be more irritated with certain products that I could probably use with no problems at all. I can't wait for your derm appt though to see what he says! You can't continue with itching/irritated skin I'm sure he will say. Try putting a cool rag on it tonight, with no Clenia, and some soothing lotion that you have had good experience with, whatever that may be, to calm it down. That might help.

OK... I'm out of ideas now sadly. Be sure you check out the anemia thing too if you're experiencing symptoms. And good luck with the CNA stuff too!

Bye!

Yummy, I love hamburgers with ketchup, I love cucumber salad, and I love green beans! Unfortunately, I hate mushrooms. I think they are disgusting

Maybe I should just apply the clenia once a day. I will skip it in the mornings when I wash my face and apply it at night only and see if that helps. I like the rag idea. I will give that a try in the morning

I might have to reschedule that derm appointment actually. Its on one of the Thursdays I have to take one of those classes to renew my liscence 🙁

Im gonna go visit a certain friend in the hospital tomorrow 🙂

Hi Molly,

I am so not an expert, but agree with JustAMom about your medication! It may not be for you, sometimes sulfur products are not good for some people! I hope you can see your derm sooner. I posted in Jenstars log about a dermatitis issue I had about 3 weeks ago and the only thing that helped it was metrogel and a different antibiotic. Some of the descriptions you give like the yellowheads (I had them and they kept coming back in the same area) and how they look make we wonder....however not good for me to assume that everyone has the same problem as me! The doc told me it was seasonal but I think some it was related to another med a doc put me on - sometimes that happens, when these docs put us on all these prescriptions!

Like I said in your pictures, you look great and less red for sure, except in that one area, and that was how it was for me too!

I hope you can see your derm sooner and maybe have him give you another option!

Good luck!

Ive had a red itchy face for about two months now which is originally why I went back to my dermatologist. I hadnt seen him in awhile and my acne was just getting worse. I think the winter season plays a major roll and I still think I have a food allergy. My pimples are very rash like. He doesnt think so but drs dont know everything. In fact, I think sometimes we have more knowledge about what can trigger pimples than the drs themselves do.

I took your suggestion Melanie and I held a hot towel compress against my face, especially my chin area. I then gently rubbed an ice cube on my chin and my nose since that is where I mostly itch. I skipped the clenia and just moisturized with my neutrogena for sensitive skin. I will update you later today on how my face looks and feels.

haha I said cool rag not hot lol cool usually calms down allergic reactions, etc..... but did the hot work? Because if it did, that's great! Ya, to find out if you do have a food allergy, look up the most offending foods for allergies and see if you possibly eat something on that list and then you can begin doing the food elimination thing. I hope for your sake Molly.... it's not.... ketchup!!! Keep us advised!

I'm sorry your skin's been irritating you lately. That's no fun. That's what happened to me a little while back when I was still using the OCM. I've since completely changed my routine. I really like how Complex 15 sooths my skin. Surprisingly, the Oil Cleansing Method made my skin somewhat dry. The Complex 15 has relieved this issue and is balancing my skin-- just like the box says, LOL.

Best wishes ^_^

Yes, it started off as hot and cooled down. I love the way it felt! In regards to allergies, I think I am allergic to dairy because I always feel sick to my stomach after eating dairy products and I have diarrhea and am on the toilet for a long time
