Okay Im gonna spill the beans Kim. Ive been hiding this from you because I didnt want you to get mad at me. I gave basis a good try for a month and then on the 18th I decided I was tired of how it made my skin feel and I have been using Neutrogena Gentle Cleanser since.
A month isn't too bad of a trial period! Just as long as you aren't making a bunch of changes all at once, I think its probably ok. 🙂 I do like the Neutrogena Cleanser. I use it once and awhile if my skin feels too irritated for my scrub.
Naw, the only thing Ive changed besides that is I remove my make up with walgreens baby oil before I wash it with the cleanser. Kim do you have any suggestions of what I can do to make my face less itchy? My face really itches, especially my chin, jawline, cheeks and my nose
Last night I spend the night at my parents house and applied an ice cube to my problem areas. Now I am back in my apartment and I dont have acne. I did however grab a pack of cold corn and patted that all over my chinMelanie, Im eating green beans with bulsamic vinagrette again and chicken nuggest with ketchup 🙂
Hey!
I gotta tell you that tonight you had me laughing out loud. Read what you wrote above... "Now I am back in my apartment and I don't have acne..." I was like WHAT... wait WHAT did she say??? haha Then I realized you meant you didn't have ice because you used the old athlete's trick when they got injured of grabbing the frozen corn or peas haha.
After that... I then had to calm down because you still had acne lol but you WERE eating green beans!!!
You gave me a good chuckle Molly and then to tie things up... you chatted about food! Yes!

There you go talking about food Molly... this time beans??? 😉
Thank you Wynne 🙂I posted three more picsc in my gallery tonight so they should be up either tomorrow or on Tuesday
I will follow the link you posted a few days ago to your gallery and hopefully the new ones will show up using that link. Otherwise, I won't know where to look lol.
I was thinking... you apply the Clenia over your entire face right? Yet the only itching is occurring on your chin, jawline, cheeks and nose. I wonder why your forehead isn't itching and any place else the Clenia touches. It's so confusing to me. I do know when I've had a problem with itching from irritation, the cool compresses have helped me, along with some soothing lotion. I just hope that derm can tell you the cause of this problem!
Ciao!

Thanks for the direction Wynne!!! I was randomly searching the gallery and then Molly always provided me with links lol. I checked it out and saw all those tabs. I've been so busy around here reading posts that I really haven't checked out the mechanics of the site quite honestly so I appreciate your input! 😀

Soon they will have so many smileys that we won't even need to use words to communicate!
I tried Complex 15 as well... It felt nice, didn't clog my pores, but it didn't moisturize enough for me. I'm using Vitamin E Cream by Axel something or other (too lazy to go get the tub), it's working good so far. I agree about the doctor thing, I told my doctor the last time (the only time): "you shouldn't overwash your face or put too many chemicals..." and he looked at me as if I was crazy. D:
Hey~
I checked out your most recent photos and to be honest, I think your face looks like it's improving. I know it's a slow-going situation, but it appears the new spots are smaller than the original ones when you began this regimen, less inflamed/angry looking, and overall less puffy.
What do you think since pictures don't always show everything? Also, how's the whole itching thing going?
Ciao!
Whoa... I can't believe I almost left your log without posting about my delicious dinner!!! haha I had shrimp over some lettuce, spinach, red cabbage, snap peas, cucumbers, and red peppers, (salad lol) with a side of sliced mangoes and apples. I used shrimp cocktail sauce over pretty much everything lol because, as you know, the main ingredient in that is.... ketchup! <- Should have had that for dessert!

Yes I agree there are parts of my face that look less inflamed, red, and angry. Before, the whole lower half of my face was red, inflamed, and angry. Some of my pimples have dried up too! I know its a slow process but I wish healing didnt take so damn long. My face is still itching like crazy
lol that sounds like a yummy dinner! I just had the same thing I eat all the time, a chicken salad sandwhich since I do not cook.
Hey!
I just don't understand why your face is so darn itchy! Is it itchy say where the spots are healing? Like when you have a healing cut, it feels itchy sometimes as it heals. Or, does your entire skin, even with no spots, itch? You said it was only the chin, cheeks, and nose area but not the forehead, if I'm right. But since you use the same products all over your face, what could be making just that area so darn itchy? Because when you think about it, that's the exact area you're breaking out in and healing constantly! Yet, I remember reading in your log that you were itchy like this when you originally went to the derm, right?
Your dinner sounds yummy too! I could go for days eating the same thing at each meal because when I get in a mood to eat something, I want it for a few days lol... especially when it's yummy chicken!
Oh by the way, I have a new pimple on my chin that has four or five heads to it

Yes my forehead itches too but very slightly. Its mostly on my chin, cheeks, and my nose. My pimples take a century to heal and I still think my pimples are very rash like. I swear this is some sort of allergy but the problem is I dont know what its an allergy to.
Im actually kind of tired of eating the same foods over and over again but I dont know what else to buy.
I'm sure you're reading everything you can and looking at photos to see if anyone has your type of skin because the itching is probably driving you nuts! I just wonder if because you have a little rashy looking thing going on if you could take that hydrocortisone cream the derm told you to use, use it on one section of your itchy area for a day or two, and see if that makes a difference in how that area feels. Or, if you apply aloe vera gel to one area only, if that helps heal the skin and makes it less itchy.
Until you see the derm, since you liked the way the cool compress worked, try using that more often for some relief, and maybe that will calm down your skin, instead of just using it like once or twice. Then apply the soothing lotion Wynne suggested, or the hydrocortisone cream the derm suggested. UGH... I really can't wait for you to see the derm!
Sometimes I just get stuck in a rut with what I eat too. It's like I don't know what I'm in the mood for, so I just buy the same thing. Other times I love something and want to eat it for days. When I'm in a rut, sometimes I go online looking at different recipes, or watch the cooking channel for some ideas. You could always try that for some quick and easy meal ideas!

I took your advice and applied a cool compress this morning and I also put a think layer of hydrocortisone cream on a section of my chin. What soothing cream did Wynne suggest?
I really like Rachel Ray and Saras Secrets. I unfortunately dont have a whole lot of channels. Right now, Im eating a personalized size pizza from trader joes with fetta cheese, bell peppers, olives, tomatoes, and fetta cheese. For dinner, Im gonna have those chicken nuggets again probably without the ketchup since I have to eat it on my work break and I will eat green beans with that bulsamic dressing again
Im sorry the OCM dried out your skin, but Im glad you found a moisturizer you like ;DThanks Molly! :wiggle:
Youre welcome..whats your name?
Katherine 😀
Katherine is a popular name and its one of my favorite popular names 🙂
Hey!
I just changed this post lol
Let's get to the important things first.... Those are good food shows to watch. I know Rachel does those fast 30-minute meals. Once you read about or watch a food idea that interests you, you might wanna try it out for yourself. Then, like everyone usually does, you add/delete ingredients that you want. That personalized pizza sounds great though!
I remember your derm mentioned the hydrocortisone cream for your itching so I thought of that. Wynne said: "Aquaphor at night, and cool compresses will help soothe itching." That was the soothing lotion I was referring to. I know when I've experienced puffiness/itching from either a topical or perhaps windburn, I would use a cool compress and I know the aquaphor and/or hydrocortisone cream are soothing. See, I'm hoping if your skin calms down regarding its itching, then it will be able to handle the clenia better - just a hope here!
Good luck!
