For Halloween I went as Poison Ivy. I used a light green all over my lid, dark sparkly green on the outer and in the socket and also for contouring. I cut up pieces of artificial ivy and stuck them to my eyebrows with eyelash adhesive. Usual routine with foundation and blush etc.
I did have some fabulous eyelashes to put on but I became far too drunk to apply them in the end.
Halloween is the best day to have fun with makeup!
That looks amazing!!! hahaha. Applying falsies while drunk is a bad idea... good thing you didn't do it! It is the best day to mess around. Last year I made my boyfriend a zombie (face anyway) - lots of white powder and bloody gashes. This year we didn't do anything 🙁
Next year I want to be character from SNL! My brother says the small hands lady. 😀

I made my boyfriend up as Jack Sparrow. Guy liner and I drew on his tattoos with a sharpie. The next day he went to football (soccer) saying "I'm going to get Dick of the Day for this makeup". Turns out 80% of the team was wearing makeup anyway.
Yes, he was very drunk at this point.
I want to beat her up for being so pretty (a reasonable reaction to somebody being pretty hahaha).
hahaa. my sister is really pretty too so i know what u mean. she has all the curves in all the right places n i tell her all the time. lmao.
@abigail - i love the poison ivy. i had a friend who was that for halloween n she nailed it. she even sewed her own costume halloween is soo fun. i wish it was celebrated twice a yr.

My older sister has no curves, she's so waifish and beautiful that it's just annoying. 😛
We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia. How's that for a kick in the courage. I went for a run on Halloween and we still had some trick or treaters. Some kid dressed as a zombie tried to bite me as I went past. -_-
Haha your boyfriend looks awesome! Nice job!
Candice, I'm sure you could learn in a year haha! It's worth try anyway.
Awesome video! Great coverage for cystic acne.
You all might have seen it before but I just came across it last night.
Inspired me to do full coverage fanciness today

Sure thing!
I used my whole skincare routine (see signature).
1. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer & Urban Decay eyeshadow primer
2. Make Up For Ever HD foundation in light shade in the center
of my face, like the video says
3. Mary Kay medium coverage foundation in a darker
shade around the sides and cheeks - I did a couple layers
on areas where I had PIH
4. Amazing Cosmetics concealer on problem areas
5. Blush, then eye makeup, then lipstick
6. Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Powder
7. A little bronzer, Laura Geller's baked bronzer
8. M.U.D. Setting Powder- comparable to Make Up For Ever's HD powder
Hope this helps

you are so gorgeous . i love your lippie. i am very curious bout the amazing cosmetics concealer now..i use the makeup forever full coverage n it's ok. lol .. i like it, but it doesn't last long on my skin.
Hey Bek... I know it's a makeup thread, but are you any good with the hair thing, too? I want to do one of those front french plait things, but I'm completely hopeless at it.
Haha unfortunately since my hair condition degenerated I am terrible with it!!! 🙁 I am getting a keratin straightening treatment next week so I don't have to try (and fail) so hard to make it look good. Saweee girl!!
@guacohmy: Thank you! That is so sweet of you! Amazing Cosmetics' concealer is the only one I've found that I will buy and re-buy! It's creamy, opaque, and extremely long lasting when set with powder. My lipstick is Make Up For Ever #35 with Urban Decay gloss over it 😉
@corgisoulpower: L-M-A-O. That is horrible and funny.
What do you guys think? Kind of a lot, but I work in cosmetics so I kind of need to look made up haha.
glare. your lack of pores is disgusting.
HAHAHA.
🙁
It's all layered makeup girl. I don't have tons, but they are definitely there on my nose!!
- BP
- serum
- moisturizer/spf
- primer
- foundation
- concealer
- powder
Yeah Bek, I reckon you could make a few jelous enemies out of the girls, looking like that!
Oh Paul 😀
Haha thank you! I don't beeeelieve that but it's sweet!
I just got the Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer spf 15 today. My skin has been going crazy lately, I think from a combination of things; working in a heated enviroment, cold weather, playing with different skin care products, etc. It's unpleasantly chapped! My neck keeps getting this crazy rash too. But anyhow, the reviews look really good on the tinted moisturizer. I have the Hourglass primer with spf 15 too... still deciding what I think about it. I have to get my skin back to normal before I can make a proper judgement. The Mary Kay foundation I've been using is AMAZING, but not for winter. It controls oil production and is too drying for cold weather. Anyone get anything fun lately? Any new makeup looks?
I have always wanted to try out a tinted moisturizer! I guess I'll wait to see what you say about Hourglass Illusion then.
Also I treated myself and bought a BUNCH of stuff on the E.L.F (Eyes lips face) website, its so cheap so I bought some stuff to try out for fun. I'm excited for it to come in the mail!
can't wait....

Haha yeayy! I am going to post some pictures about it today! I hope it works out.
Wooooot! Yeah, ELF is super cheap and it's fun to play with colors. It's actually carried in my local
Target now as well. Have you looked there? Make sure to post a picture of your loot!

It's an interesting consistency. Tinted moisturizers are always a little tiny bit trickier to blend for me since they are sheer. It makes it more apparent if you've missed a spot. At least on my skin! It should be the opposite, I know, lol. Anyhow. It's very creamy and moisturizing. I definitely think it needs a minute or two to sit and absorb on the skin before judging the outcome. I really like it so far. In the picture it seems a tad too pale for me but in real life it's perfect. It gives that gleam that reminds me of ancient princesses in movies. Dorky.

Your skin looks flawless! It still leaves a nice healthy glow...I've always wondered about the staying power of tinted moisturizers for those of us with oily skin, even when I was clear, it seems like whatever coverage it gives would be gone after an hour on my skin...
