you start googling accutane/candida and you can find alot of post like this one.
THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. PLEASE, PLEASE read the above post by Ronald and heed the advice. For me, it was like my life story. I went through every acne antibiotics and treatments. Kept acne at bay, but would always come back. Was on Roaccutane 3 times. Eventually, dermatologist told me that I would have to treat acne like a disease which had to be treated for the rest of my life. However, on what I thought was a separate issue, my health started to deteriorate always tired, no concentration, sinus problems. Went to doctors, hospitals for blood tests. Said I was fine. I was going out of my mind as I had difficulty carrying out my job. Did my own research through the internet. Bear in mind now that at the same time, I was constantly on antibiotics for acne. My symptoms led to me identifying a huge problem with Candida. Its a yeast overgrowth and can be caused by antibiotics. And this is the same as the bacteria advised by Ronald. Google Candida, and it will open you up to a whole different world. You have to go on a diet, with various supplements that you will see easily if you google candida and cures. Also related are parasites, liver not functioning properly, toxins, colon cleansing, good/bad flora, probiotics. There is no doubt that it takes a long time to digest all there is to know. But it works. I went through it all diet, supplements etc and I felt the best I have ever felt you years. My problem is that my liver functioning has been upset by the roaccutane in a bad way, and I dont know if it will ever heal fully. Another important thing is the actual diet. People go on what they thing is a healthy diet, but dont really know. You should not have anything that has sugar in it, including all fruit, a lot of vegetables. It is very restricted. Again, google it. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT ACNE HAS RUINED MY LIFE FOR 20 YEARS. ANTIBIOTICES/ROACCUTANE WORK IN SHORT TERM BUT HAVE LONG TERM DAMAGE. GOOGLE CANDIDA/PARASITES, AND IF YOU CURE THAT, YOU WILL GO A LONG WAY TO CURING ACNE. IT WORKED FOR ME. AND MY LIFE HAS STARTED AGAIN AT 35.
So a few questions I ask myself are we lacking a certain bacteria that accutane destroyed that left usvulnerable? Some people have been diagnosed with SIBO post accutane. So is this more likely to be coming from the large intestine and be bifido based? So any probiotic with bifido could possibly make things worse? What about Candida since its a yeast and not a bacteria. Could some people have a combination of SIBO and yeast overgrowth going on at the same time? I look at some anti Candida supplements and they use only one strain of probiotic. Lactobacillus acidophilus. This is mostly found in the small intestine.
12 hours ago, snarkygirl said:hi, make sure to tell the Dr about any foods that seem to make your issues worse, aside from taking accutane. Mention the mood changes and lethargy. Have you tried an elimination diet? Basically cut out all foods you suspect of making your symptoms worse...dairy, grains especially wheat, soy, eggs, caffeine etc. Eat really bland like sweet potatoes and cooked veggies and chicken and slowly add each food back in one at a time to see if you react. It may be digestive upset or hives or brain fog/ lethargy. Keep a journal maybe.
As for acne, I hesitate to recommend any more meds just now. Try anti inflammatories and zinc. I've been taking chelated zinc and its cut down on inflammation a lot. And try tart cherry juice.
For fixing GI issues, take probiotics, gelatin bone broth and work on fixing gut permeability. It can often be improved!
Good luck, having all these issues sucks.I concur.
Many thanks for the advice. I'll start an elimination diet once the blood work reveals any deficiencies.
Which kind of anti-inflammatories do you mean?
Also, I forgot to add that I've had a constant yeast infection since stopping Accutane (about 5 years now). Fun stuff. Anyone have advice for that? I imagine the probiotics and bone broth will help with that too. However, it seems like probiotics are a pain trigger for me.
just looking around it looks like one of the only viable l. acidophilus only probiotics is called Florajen. It contains 20 billion units of L. acidophilus. They call it a women's formula but hey, what the hell. They keep it in the fridge behind the pharmacy counter at Walgreens. If not in stock they can special order it and have it in two days. its pretty cheap too.

That definitely makes it sound like you have a candida overgrowth, and fixing your diet and taking supplements that help combat candida should ease or even get rid of most of your problems (including the infections).
Probiotics might not help, but diet changes definitely should. It just might take a while in order for you to start seeing results, but be dedicated and you should see results!
Edit: But if you want to try a different form of acquiring probiotics, look into Miso and Kefir
Protective Effects of Lactobacillus plantarum CCFM8246 against Copper Toxicity in Mice

- Published: November 25, 2015
- http://dx.doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0143318
Abstract
Lactobacillus plantarum CCFM8246, which has a relatively strong copper binding capacity and tolerance to copper ions, was obtained by screening from 16 lactic acid bacteria in vitro. The selected strain was then applied to a mouse model to evaluate its protective function against copper intoxication in vivo. The experimental mice were divided into an intervention group and a therapy group; mice in the intervention group received co-administration of CCFM8246 and a copper ion solution by gavage, while mice in the therapy group were treated with CCFM8246 after 4 weeks of copper exposure. In both two groups, mice treated with copper alone and that treated with neither CCFM8246 nor copper served as positive and negative controls, respectively. At the end of the experimental period, the copper content in feces and tissues, the activity of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) in serum, and oxidation stress indices in liver and kidney tissue were determined. Learning and memory ability was evaluated by Morris water maze experiments. The results indicated that treatment with CCFM8246 significantly increased the copper content in feces to promote copper excretion, reduce the accumulation of copper in tissues, reverse oxidative stress induced by copper exposure, recover the ALT and AST in serum and improve the spatial memory of mice.

Hey guys. Took me a while to obtain all the blood test results, but here they are. Unless I'm missing something, these results are all near perfect. I do find the Copper result curious as I eat dark chocolate, almonds and brazil nuts everyday. I was expecting it to be higher by default. Vit D is where I want it to be as I've been supplementing for 3 years. All else is good.
I am curious to play with supplements that will reduce FoxO1 gene activation. I've begun 200mg Thiamine daily, yesterday. I'll try Lithium for the heck of it. Taurine doesn't seem to have impacted me in any way after all. Face skin is as dry as usual. Chronic Rhinitis still present. Oh well.

I have always paid attention to the research that demonstrated Accutane can cause altered blood flow or organic brain damage to the frontal lobes in humans. Alcohol is associated with similar issues. With frontal lobes in mind:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22826346
"We have found that ketamine, an N-methyl-d-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist, causes a rapid induction of synaptogenesis and spine formation in the PFC [pre-frontal cortex] via stimulation of the mammalian target of the rapamycin signalling pathway and increased synthesis of synaptic proteins. These effects of ketamine rapidly reverse the atrophy of PFC neurons caused by chronic stress and correspond to rapid behavioural actions of ketamine in models of depression. "
The aforementioned substance is considered highly effective for treatment-resistant depression. However, doctor supervision is needed for each administration which makes it (quite unnecessarily) pricey. Considering it's traditionally a party drug, it's best to obtain it legitimately through a doctor, if at all.
On a possibly more relevant note, if alcohol poisoning is the problem, studies show the brain takes a long time to recover. This study considers "less than 4 years of sobriety" as insignificant, but the brain does appear to improve with time.
http://alcalc.oxfordjournals.org/content/36/5/357.full
"Alcoholics with less than 4 years of sobriety had significantly reduced left inferior frontal perfusion, compared with both non-alcoholic controls and alcoholics having longer periods of sobriety. The findings support the hypothesis that frontal brain abnormalities in alcoholics may subside with extended abstinence."
Now, many of us were only on six month courses, but it is clear Accutane affects the brain anyway. It seems the best we can do is live healthy and give our bodies a lot of time.

I've tried potent compounds that induce neurogenesis in the hippocampus. I definitely experienced an intensification of emotions, which has stayed with me for months. However, my mind still feels "blank" and "fuzzy" most of the time. Although I can experience pleasure in fleeting moments, there is still an overarching "brain fog" problem. (My new state of mind is really, really hard to explain.) Nevertheless, I still try to engage in natural activities that are associated with neurogenesis.
Candidiasis: predisposing factors, prevention, diagnosis and alternative treatment.
Abstract
Candidiasis is the most common opportunistic yeast infection. Candida species and other microorganisms are involved in this complicated fungal infection, but Candida albicans continues to be the most prevalent. In the past two decades, it has been observed an abnormal overgrowth in the gastrointestinal, urinary and respiratory tracts, not only in immunocompromised patients, but also related to nosocomial infections and even in healthy individuals. There is a widely variety of causal factors that contribute to yeast infection which means that candidiasis is a good example of a multifactorial syndrome. Due to rapid increase in the incidence in these infections, this is the subject of numerous studies. Recently, the focus of attention is the treatment and, above all, the prevention of those complications. The diagnosis of candidiasis could become quite complicated. Prevention is the most effective "treatment," much more than eradication of the yeast with antifungal agents. There are several aspects to consider in the daily routine that can provide a strength protection. However, a therapeutic approach is necessary when the infection is established, and therefore, other alternatives should be explored. This review provides an overview on predisposition factors, prevention and diagnosis of candidiasis, highlighting alternative approaches for candidiasis treatment.
So there you go urinary tract infection, this could lead to Ed.
Gastric infection and also respiratory could lead to a boatload of symptoms.
I'm also reading some things that candida might be regulating copper in a abnormal fashion.
Antibiotic candidiasis
Antibiotic candidiasis(also known as "Iatrogenic candidiasis") is aCandidalinfection caused byantibioticuse.[1]:311
CausesEdit
Antibiotic candidiasis can result from overuse or over-prescription of broad-spectrum antibiotics[2](such asoxytetracyclinecommonly used for the control ofacne). Consequently, it is now rare for such antibiotics to be prescribed for extended periods. The apparent effect of the antibiotic is to reduce thecommensalbacterial flora in thegastrointestinal tract, resulting in an environment conducive to the propagation of existingcandidain the absence of any major competition. This situation may remain stable until the patient stops taking the antibiotic, when the bacterial flora re-establish and displace the candida into the genital region of the patient. This can result in redness and itching (thrushin women anddhobi itchin men) which can last for a similar period to that of the antibiotic course. The rash can be controlled or cured by a suitableantifungal drug, but the infection is likely to clear up of its own accord in due course (presumably when the original bacterial/fungal balance has been properly restored).[citation needed]
MitigationEdit
There is some evidence thatprobioticsmay reduce the likelihood or severity of antibiotic candidiasis in the same way as they do againstantibiotic-associated diarrhea, so the consumption ofprobioticsduring a course ofantibioticsmay be beneficial on both counts.

Caprylic acid( from coconut oil)
Garlic tabs twice a day
limit sugar in diet
google " boric acid for vaginal issues". Its controversial and some warnings against it but it worked for me. Basically you insert boric acid gel tabs for 5-7 days to bring your body's pH back to normal. Read before you try though, you shouldn't have any open sores or anything.

Ive looked into this...I'm sure I have it to some degree cause I've been on antibiotics, have lethargy and brain fog and crave sugar like a hummingbird.
I've read that fixing candida is very difficult, in fact I know some people who literally went away to a clinic for 30 days. I'm worried weithout that kind of means I'll never cleasr it up.
.
I think a lot of the health problems people are having is not just from isotretinon but also from previous antibiotic use which can wreak havoc on your immune system. One has to remember that 80% of the human body's immune system is in the gut .
Anti-life-biotics as I call them are known to mess up the gut especially after taking many rounds . I took antibiotics only once in my life and for a brief 2 weeks I remember the severe stomach pain I got from them and I immediately stopped taking them. I think that's why my stomach is in perfect health because I don't take pHARMa drugs. Last one I took was around 22 years agoand that was TAN a lesson well learned at the dangers of synthetic drugs.
Btw I took the antibiotics for mild acne just before I started TAN the new miracle drug lol. I would recommend wild oil of oregano, new roots brand best one I found this should clear up candida issues along with a sugar elimination diet.
So that study I posted showed that accutane altered the skin, mouth, respiratory and gut flora and it was more potent then the antibiotics it was compared to in doing so. Dr's are hesitatant to give anyone a longer course of antibiotics for whatever reason if not necessary. The max would maybe be a month. Norm is 10 to 14 days. So imagine being on a sort of super antibiotic (accutane) for months and months.

Anyone with hair loss or thinning hair, floaters in eyes, cracking joints, unwanted body hair post Accutane would surely suggest something more sinister is at play here!?

Candidiasis
What Is It?
The presence of Candida albicans, a benign sugar-fermenting yeast, in various parts of the body-the skin, the genitals and especially the intestinal tract- is entirely normal. In small amounts, this yeast is an integral part of the intestinal ecology and, when kept in balance with other microorganisms, does no harm. Candidiasis, however, is a complex medical syndrome resulting from an overgrowth of Candida albicans. This yeast (or single-celled fungus) is one of 600 strains of Candida, and is among the minority that can become pathogenic (disease causing). In candidiasis, normally harmless yeast proliferate and change into a mycelial or hyphal form where they take root in tissues and colonize. This upsets the ecological balance in the gastrointestinal tract. When the friendly gut gains an upper hand, local problems, can result- in the vagina (yeast infection), throat (thrush), nails (fungal infection), bladder (candidal cystitis), etc. When Candida colonizes in the gut, it can cause problems throughout the entire body due to the fact that potent, immune-suppressing toxins are absorbed into the bloodstream. Candida is actually a form of parasite, an organism that feeds off of the human body and can pollute the system with its toxic waste products if it is present in disproportionate quantities.
What Causes It?
There are multiple factors that may trigger the form change and proliferation of Candida that result in candidiasis. This condition develops when the balance between yeast and bacteria is upset as a result of:
-Immune dysfunction
-Disruption in ratio of good to bad bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract
-Upset intestinal pHImmune dysfunction is caused by a number of factors:
-Ingestion of certain drugs (acid-blocking medication and antibiotics)
-Exposure to toxic metals
-Internal toxins from poor digestion
-Consumption of refined carbohydrates
-Chemotherapy
-StressAll of these factors create an imbalance of gut flora (with the bad bacteria outnumbering the good) called dysbiosis, that can result in reduced immunity.
An alteration of the ratio of good to bad bacteria in the GI tract is a very common cause of candidiasis. In fact, the prolonged- and sometimes inappropriate- use (and overuse) of antibiotics is perhaps the most widespread cause of chronic candidiasis today. These drugs suppress not only pathogenic or bad bacteria whose job it is to prevent yeast overgrowth. The net result is proliferation of Candida. As Candida proliferates, the fungus releases toxins (waste products mycotoxins) that further weaken the immune system.
A by-product of Candida digestion of protein is beta-alanine. Beta-alanine is absorbed through the intestinal lining and secreted by the kidneys. It competes for reabsorption with the amino acid taurine in the kidneys because taurine enhances the intracellular uptake of magnesium and potassium. In addition, it helps to bind toxins and remove them from the liver. Thus, it has been clinically observed that patients with candidiasis of the intestinal tract may have problems absorbing magnesium and potassium, despite oral supplementation.
While the sources of heavy metals are many and varied, one of the most important with regard to candidiasis is the dental use of mercury. The silver amalgum dental filling routinely used by dentists is actually composed of from 50 to 53 percent mercury. It will be extremely difficult for the person with amalgum fillings to rid the body of Candida because mercury has an antibiotic effect, killing off the friendly bacteria s they cannot control yeast overgrowth.
Yeast-connected illness affects people of all ages and, although both sexes are affected, women are eight times more likely to experience the yeast syndrome. Women may develop vaginal yeast infections following a course of antibiotics, during pregnancy, or while using oral contraceptives. Progestin from birth control pills changes the vaginal lining to make it more hospitable to yeasts, and also causes the release of yeast-feeding sugar into the bloodstream. Candida may be transferred sexually, and a mother may pass it on to her newborn. Candidiasis in the form of oral thrush and/or diaper rash is common in babies.
Factors that might predispose one to candidiasis include:
-Use of antibiotics
-Use of corticosteroid drugs (which suppress the immune system and permit the overgrowth of yeast)
-A compromised immune system (evident in people with AIDS, cancer and autoimmune diseases, as well as those taking immunosuppressive drugs and those with a heavy body burden of toxins)
-A damp, moldy environment
-A diet high in refined carbohydrates and other yeast-promoting foods
-Presence of mercury-containing silver amalgum fillings in the teeth
-Stress (which suppressed immune function)
-Decreased digestive secretions
-Nutrient deficiency
-Impaired liver function
-Altered bowel floraAlso at increased risk for developing yeast infections are patients who have undergone surgical interventions, catheterizations or dialysis, as well as burn victims and those with diabetes mellitis and hypthyroidism.
What Are the Signs and Symptoms?
Candidiasis can affect many parts of the body and may be characterized by a wide variety of local and systemic signs and symptom, including:
-Chronic fatigue
-Brain fog
-Anxiety
-Depression
-Food cravings (especially for sweets, fermented foods, alcoholic and carbonated beverages)
-Hyperactivity and learning disabilities in children
-Lack of libido
-Suppressed immune activity; autoimmune disorders
-Headaches
-Muscle aches
-Arthritis
-Bladder and kidney infections
-Gas and bloating
-Bad breath
-Rectal itching
-Clogged sinuses/sinusitis
-Acne
-Burning tongue
-White spots on tongue and in mouth
-Nail infections
-Diaper rashAs mentioned, Candida releases toxic waste products when it proliferates. One mycotoxin produced by Candida is acetalyhyde. Acetalhyde is toxic to the central nervous system. It also interferes with normal hormone metabolism, affecting the pituitary, thyroid and adrenal glands. Additionally, it has been shown that abnormal gut fermentation by yeast or bacteria can produce increased blood alcohol levels. These processes explain how Candida can produce brain fog symptoms.
It is important to note that Candida is an underlying fact in many, if not most, diseases and conditions. Candida infection must be ruled out when addressing other health conditions.
The development of allergies an other autoimmune disorders is viewed by many progressive physicians and alternative practitioners as a consequence of mycotoxins entering the bloodstream. Normally, the semi-permeable lining of the intestinal tract will prevent contamination of blood with these and other toxins, microorganisms and undigested food particles. However, when the roots of Candida (known as rhizoids) burrow into the intestinal lining, they leave microscopic holes through which these contaminants may pass. The body sees undigested food particles as foreign substances and therefore launches an immune reaction that gives rise to autoantibodies that promote allergic responses, or even worse, autoimmune disease.
Candida toxins are carried through this leaky gut via the bloodstream to the liver. From there, they proceed to other organs of the body-the brain, nervous system, joints, skin, etc. If the livers detoxification ability is impaired due to inadequate nutrition and and toxic overload, these toxins will not be eliminated and can initiate states of chronic disease.
In addition to suppressing the immune system, Candida also disrupts the endocrine (glandular) system, which has a regulating effect on the body. Leaky gut and bacterial dysbiosis, (when the bad bacteria outnumber the good) also contribute to the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NFLD). This condition is becoming more prevalent and can lead to the development of diabetes and even liver failure. These effects make it possible for Candida to cause, or contribute to, virtually any disorder anywhere in the body.
How Is It Diagnosed?
It is generally agreed that a diagnosis of candidiasis is best made on the basis of a thorough patient history. A good questionnaire can be helpful toward this end. The section includes two versions of the self-scoring yeast questionnaire- adult and child- both developed by the late William G. Crook, MD, a pioneer in yeast-related illness. Doctors may wish to confirm their diagnosis of candidiasis through use of specialized laboratory tests such as stool cultures for Candida (comprehensive stool analysis (CSA) or 16s rRNA analysis), and measurement of antibody levels to Candida or Candida antigens in the blood. The CSA can also be useful in detecting parasites that tend to coexist with Candida. Since a certain amount of yeast is normally present in the GI tract, its detection in laboratory tests does not necessarily mean that it has overgrown and is causing disease. For this reason, these tests alone may not offer a definitive diagnosis. Thats why a thorough history should also be taken.
What Is the Standard Medical Treatment?
Traditional medicine employs fungicides (which kill fungus) to treat severe yeast infections. Fungistatic drugs that inhibit the growth of fungi, preventing it from getting worse, may also be employed. While these may effectively suppress fungal growth, it may resume once medication is discontinued unless the primary problem is handled and dybiosis , or bacterial imbalance, corrected. While many doctors of complementary and integrative medicine will rely upon herbal and nutritional remedies solely, some may opt to do a short course of drug (anti-fungal) therapy first in an effort to shorten treatment time. Some antifungals, like Sporanox and Nizarol are all absorbed in the upper GI tract and taken into circulation, so therapeutic doses do not reach the colon. However, antifungals like Diflucan are now available in oral suspension and remain in the GI tract. Nystatin can be used in conjunction with the systemic drugs for a short period of time to help ensure the elimination of Candida. It is important to understand that handling Candida is more than just taking a pill. It is a holistic approach consisting of diet, supplementation, lifestyle modification and mental and emotional support.

I think you will eventually get better. It took me 6 months to feel somewhat normal. I remember, one night I had the TV on and there was a concert playing. Previously to this I'd lost interest in music, TV shows movies, reading, anything. That night I really listened to the song and I felt touched by the music. So, I knew something was still there.

These things I don't need to see a doctor for - I can see and hear these things for myself every day. Not saying we don't have a candida issue too but again is it the source of all our problems?......I doubt it.
thats true, your body may be in a weakened state after accutane. The stuff I suggested is anti inflammatory also so that is supposed to help with chronic conditions. Since many of these are at least partly from inflammation ( no matter the cause) I'm hoping they will help
Anyone ever tried a high dose of methylfolate?! (i.e. the active form, specifically not regular 'folate' like the type found in many cheap supplements. I'm starting on 'Freddds' Active B12 protocol currently (only a week into slowly starting the sups), but I've tended to in the past have brief periods of improvements when taking thing like 'Now Choline & Inositol', but the improvements are never consistent, and it almost feels like I'm running out of something that's important for a process involved. Reading the Active B12 protocol here would seem to potentially tie in a few things, which is why I'm giving it a go. It's also yielded good results for CFS suffers whose condition appears related to ours in terms of underlying mechanisms and some side effects (methylation is without doubt affected).
This got me reading some interesting stuff on PhoenixRising from the late Rich Van K, whose probably one of the cleverest and best qualified people to give their take on accutanes mechanism and side effects. Regarding asking if anyone has a tried a high dose of methylfolate, see below;
QuoteHi, gkatz. My current working hypothesis about cases of ME/CFS that apparently result from use of Roaccutane is that this drug causes a shift in the epigenetics (gene expression) of the enzyme glycine N-methyltransferase for some people, raising its activity, and this shift stays "stuck" in these people, so that the activity of this enzyme is then not under normal control. This drains off their methyl groups and thus "starves" the methyltransferase reactions in the body. This would be considered a vicious circle mechanism, because methyl groups are what are needed to silence gene expression, and the high activity of glycine N-methyltransferase prevents them from being available to do this.
My current hope is that using higher than usual dosages of 5L-methyl tetrahydrofolate (a component of the methylation treatment I have suggested), will eventually shift the epigenetics back to normal by suppressing the activity of glycine N-methyltransferase at the biochemical level, thus raising the available methylation capacity, and hopefully lowering the expression of this enzyme by methylating the DNA that controls its expression and breaking the vicious circle, so that things will come back to normal. This is unproven at this time, but I am hopeful that it will work.
I recommend that anyone trying this be under the care of a licensed physician, because it would be an experimental treatment and the detailed response in an individual could not be totally predicted. I will note that 5L-methyl tetrahydrofolate is a naturally occurring form of folate in foods, is normally the folate with the highest concentration in the human bloodstream, is an essential part of the metabolism of all the cells of the body, and is the only form of folate than can pass into the brain. The key part of this treatment would be the high dosage. I also note that in the U.S. the PamLab company supplies a prescription "medical food" called Deplin for treating depression that contains 15 milligrams of this folate, which is a much higher dosage than I have recommended as part of the methylation protocol for treating ME/CFS. Note that ME/CFS usually involves a different problem in the methylation cycle than what appears to be the problem in the apparently Roaccutane-caused cases. Most cases involve a partial block of the enzyme methionine synthase, and this same form of folate is a substrate for this enzyme, so it is included in the treatment for most ME/CFS cases, but not at as high a dosage as I think will be necessary to break the imputed vicious circle in the apparently Roaccutane-caused cases.
I do not know how high the dosage of 5L-methyl THF would have to be to break this imputed vicious circle. I think the prudent approach would be to come up slowly on the dosage, and if symptoms appear that are intolerable, to stop, at least until things calm down. It may take some time for the symptoms to die away, because folates have a long residence time in the body.
I hope this is helpful, and please consider this simply as biochemical information rather than medical advice. I am a researcher, not a licensed physician. Please work with a licensed physician if you decide to try this.

Ox Bile. Not taurine, not tudca. These are just components of Bile. Ox Bile can help increase fat absorption by 50 percent. This thesis paper is showing that ox Bile halted the growth of all these pathogenic bacterias. Maybe that's how that guy got better on that YouTube video and didn't even know it.
The in vitro antimicrobial actions of ox bile were tested on the
growth of Staphyllococcus albus, Proteus spp., Bacillus Gm+ve spp,
Staphyllococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas
