Much improved. Still there in cold wind and embaressed blushing, but not as much and it goes away quicker than before. How long have you got left on the course?

My oils might be coming back slightly. I haven't washed my hair as often lately, but it's felt a bit oily last few days. My skin is still clear, but I had 1 red spot appear on my upper left forehead. Hopefully just a one off.

That was a great read!
I'm very similar to yourself mate, 22 (Will be 23 in a few months), had acne since a young teen etc etc.

Finally getting on Accutane, I weigh 73kg and I'm starting on 70mg and remaining on it for 4 months. I hope mine clears up as good as yours has, your skin looks awesome!

That™s good to know about the flushing. Blushing has been really bothering me recently and affecting me at work In meetings so really hope mine improves. Think I have about 1-2 months left as I™m still on 30mg, my derm hasn™t menionted the culmative dose though, did yours?

I think your spot will just be a sign of your skin adjusting and all should be fine :)

jPablo that's awesome you made the decision. I wish I'd got on it when I was 17-18 (college), but I put it off and believed I could find an alternative cure or grow out of it. Regret having that mindset. Having clear skin at university would have made the time there so much better. But hey. Life goes on

BigM84. Yeah my derm said I'd reached my cumulative dose limit. From a few months ago: " In terms of cumulative dose, I need to calculate that... I had 40mg/day for 56 days supply, then 75mg for 56 days supply, then the same again. 56*(40+75+75) = 10,640mg total. I weigh 75kg, so that's ~141mg/kg total, almost the upper limit of 150mg/kg..." So not quite 151mg/kg, but fairly close

Update: Feel like my oils have come back SLIGHTLY (hair and skin). My random red spot on left of forehead has calmed and almost gone. No other breakouts yet

Hey Man, great log, you have helped me so much! I was just wondering if your red marks have faded yet or are still visible? Just wondering as im on my 6th month and still have marks from my initial breakout in month 1. Thanks man!

Thanks for the update. I wouldn't worry too much about the odd spot - everyone gets one sometimes. I'm actually hoping that a little bit of my oil production does come back - my scalp is still dry and I'm so fed up of having to put a moisturising serum on it everytime I wash my hair.

I still have red marks / scars, but they don't show up as much on photos. But the red marks are definitely there in exposed lighting such as outside in the daylight/sun, or bright indoor lights

In this lighting you can't tell that much,orca-image-1519927571072.jpg_1519927571197.jpeg but I'll get an outdoor lighting picture next time:

6 months eh. How long will you be on the course for? And at what dose? Let's hope our marks fade with time!

maxplowman, I'm still yet to take a pic in the worst lighting. I have a lot of red marks still. Congrats on finishing! Are you clear now?

Accutane123456, I sometimes get 1 random spot, but it clears up quite quickly. Overall things feel very stable. I would never have predicted this outcome based on how relentless my acne used to be (still broke out with strict diet and lifestyle etc.) Let's hope it stays that way!

I was expecting my oils to come back fiercely, but my skin is still on the dry side! Hair and lips a little dry now and then. Hopefully the same for you in 2 months !

Yh man thanks! In all clear now too , had been since month 3 but haven't got any spots since finishing. I've found my red marks have faded quite a bit since I've started using rosehip oil and using the Indian healing clay mask mixed with Apple Cider vinegar once a week.

3 calendar months off accutane today (December 19th - March 19th)O_Ono sign of relapse yet. Phew

Look how straw'y my hair looks despite washing it very infrequently nowadays. Accutane reduced my hair oils a lot (used to get oily the day after washing)

It's also been 3 months since I had a haircut, and I need one:smileys_n_people_24::smileys_n_people_24:With bad acne for so long, I basically gave up on having a hairstyle because anything I did with it would irritate my skin anyway. Can anybody relate? But now I won't have that problem, and it feels weird..

I wash with water only, n moisturise with plain vaseline. Thinking of getting a moistursing face wash and better moistursing though. Sounds bad but since I don't workout or exercise, I wash my face every 3-4 days now. I used to wash every day, especially if I was exercising. Can't believe my oils are so in control now!

Do you find your red marks constantly change? Like sometimes they are really red like after shaving and other times they look fine, or is it just me ?

My two pence is my red marks get bad after shaving but they calm down a couple of hours later.

My face still stays red for a while after blushing. And after running/sweating, my face looks redder than it used to. Not bad, but still noticeable

Still no breakouts so far. Been almost 4 months now. Where did the time go? My next derm appointment is on 26th April. Hopefully I can get the keloid scar injections. My chest keloids from years ago still get itchy. Drier skin from accutane doesn't help
