Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. I came across this forum 8 months ago (Dec 2016), trying to find a cure for my acne. I read about some positive experiences and decided to try this medication. So, here I am, sharing my experience today and hopefully it will help those who's reading it.

Background info:
30mg / day    (20mg day + 10mg night)
From 19th Jan, 2017  to  8th June, 2017 ( I get a 28-day prescription each time I visit my doctor)

I don't understand my accutane dosage, it has nothing to do with my weight like most of you suggest here.

Anyways, here are some pics of my journey.

Pre accutane: I only got acne on my cheeks and some on my chin area. The thing is, my acne scars were horrible, they won't fade cause I keep getting acne on the same areas.

During accutane: I didn't really break out badly. The worst case would be in April. The acne went away in May tho.

Post accutane: So far I don't get big pimples, I only get whiteheads and I just wait for them to go but sometimes you can't help but pick at them. Acne scars are still there and slowly fading.

Depression: I did not feel suicidal or anything. But when you look at the mirror and see your lips you will feel down and also back then I didn't know if those acne would go away so I felt unsure.

Backache: My back hurt and I got tired easily when I was on accutane.

Dry skin: Skin was okay. I didn't have to apply extra cream for my skin. No flakiness.

Dry lips:  Lip was HORRIBLE. Flaky, dry, peeling off 95% of the time. Nothing worked for me. I only used Vl for my lip but sorry to say that it's not a cure for my dry lips. It was my best option though. I had to apply it billion times a day, can't tell when.  If you've decided to use Vl, make sure to put em in a little container like what I have here. You don't want to get messy.

Eczema: I have mild eczema on my fingers. After taking accutane, in May, my right hand (the area under my knuckles) flared up. I talked to my derm and he gave me some cream and it's all good now.

So yeah, thanks for your time. Will my acne come back, I don't know. Please pray for me folks!

I'm glad you're doing well. I just wish my mild persistent acne would buzz off...
