Well I'm at day 10 of Head and Shoulders on my face and i have to say nothing has worked so well for preventing/minimizing breakouts as this. I use it 1-2 times a day with cetaphil moisturizer depending on facial dryness and it works! I just apply it in the shower, let it sit for maybe 20 secs then rinse it off., thats all. No rashes no clogged pores no redness. Anyone holding off using this on their face because of the whole shampoo thing should definetly give it a shot because i consider myself to have sensitive skin and it didn't mess me up.

ok... i have an 'all in one' type and a 'for men' type in my bathroom anyway as i wash my hair and body with it anyway... so i may just try in on my face! cant hurt i guess.

i cant say its cleared up my bacne or chest acne. they are a bit better but not really amazingly clear or anything. been using head and shoulders since early jan.

I've heard from a friend that this stuff really works. I better try it out. I think if it dries my face out, then that'll be good, coz my face is just oilyyyyy man.

Timmy, be careful with an all in one, it will contain conditioner and that;s maybe why it's not working on your chest and back properly.

I purchased Classic clean from tesco last night, I don't suffer acne on my chest but the occasional spot on my back, hopefully this will help a little with this, I'm sure the occasional spot I do get is from the different shower gels I use anyway.

I showered with it last night for the first time, of course nothing to report yet, I also lightly washed the suds over my face.

any one of you guys with an update? it's been doing great for my back and chest. also been using it on my face on and off to see how it works and i'm 97% sure it's working so good for my face as well, but it's sooooo drying. anyone know exactly why h&s works so good? maybe there's something out there that works the same with the same ingredient(s) but that is less drying. i found a soap called ZNP bar soap, i'm gonna order it.

Just to add another voice...

Benzaclin, Tazorac and Solodyn have cleared up my face completely, but my behind is another matter - those same meds just didn't seem to be doing the trick.

I got the Classic Clean H&S and left it on overnight AND the entire next day. This must give new meaning to "buns of steel" because the only irritation I'm seeing is a bit of redness in the non-acne prone skin right at the middle/top (I'm trying not to be obnoxious, but you know where I mean) where the H&S must be migrating a bit. Otherwise I think I am seeing a reduction in redness and possibly a good drying-up of the problem areas. My main issue lately hasn't really been new breakouts - it's the dark marks I can't wait to get rid of.

My plan is to leave it on overnight, but not during the daytime, and see how I do. I'll report back.

Update a few weeks later: Yep, this is definitely working. I overdid it at first, by leaving it on overnight. Now that all that excessive flaking is gone, the skin looks SO much clearer. I'm leaving it on for a few minues before my daily shower, and am also experimenting with mixing a small amount of H&S with a some Cetaphil lotion and leaving that on... I figure it's a smaller concentration, and the lotion will help with dryness...

I use head and shoulders on my body (back chest arms) etc it did really dry them up and i wasnt getting any new spots however I found it to be so drying to the point my back was sore in certain places as I was so dried out! I havent tried it on my face prob because im worried it will get as dry as my back did.

However it really worked on getting rid of spots and preventing new ones on my body x

I have been very clear throughout my face, except by my hair. I keep my hair buzzed short, and along the edges of my hair my skin has lots of little bumps. Anyone have similar problem, and got cleared by H&S?

I've started using pert plus dandruff shampoo and WOW-no more zits on my jawline!! Try it--the zinc I think is what helped

I just started using H&S...First I started w/ my back and chest and I noticed my skin seemed clearer....Then I decided why not just use this on my face and hair too. So, as of now--having used it for perhaps five days--my face is clearing, my hair looks better, my scalp isn't itchy anymore. I do feel kinda of weird using shampoo on my face, so I ordered DERMAdoctor Born To Be Mild Medicated Face & Body Cleanser w/ 2% pyrithione zinc. This facial cleaser offers even more bacteria killing zinc than H&S. Whatever is going on, it is working for me (so far)!

I used my dad's Target brand dandruff shampoo for a couple days (its a Neutrogena T Gel knockoff) and it's working well...Do you guys think it'll work the same?

Summary: I'm going to try H&S and keep you updated on my progress

Im loving Head & Shoulders Classic Clean!! I of course was sceptical at first too. But i said what the heck & gave it a try. I've been using it 2 times a day for almost two months. Before I was somewhat following Botchala's regimine. Clean & Clear Continious Control mainly and nothing else. That was making me flakey and after several weeks I would develop large zits. The only thing Im not crazy about the Head & Shoulders is it does burn quit a bit if even the slightest bit seeps in your eyes. I have to squint really tight while washing. It removes makeup ALOT better than proactive! Yes it dries my face out SOME. But not too much. I would have to say I might have found an answer to MY acne problem. GIVE IT A TRY!!!

this definitely works! I don't know if 100% clear is possible, but there is definitely a big difference, so I'm gonna keep using it! The pimples I do get now are much much smaller and less inflamed/sore.

I'm using Wal-marts Equate brand which was only $1.94 and has 1% zinc, compared to Head and Shoulders which was around $4 and had .5% zinc. So I'm sticking with Equate for now.

Would it work better if it was left on to sit for a couple minutes or something?

I let it sit on for like 3 minutes. When I do this it seems to tighten the skin a lot but it works the best.
