i looked into this whole Head & Shoulders thing two days ago... and i thought WHY NOT? so, i went ahead and bought a bottle of H&S Classic Clean. I didnt even know what Acne.org was all about. My sister just gave me a link to this thread and so i just went along with everyones encouragement. NOW that i actually KNOW what this website is for... (Dan's Regimen) i'm considering his regimen now... but i dont know if i should stick with H&S or try his regimen. SO! if theres anyone out there that has tried this H&S AND/OR tried Dan's thing... could you help me out to see which one works better??
so far i've used H&S for 2 days now... nothing really changed. but im going to stick to it until someone tells me otherwise... cuz it smells really good. haha
Just thought id update.... i been washing my body with H & S for like a year and a half and sometimes i spray dilluted tea tree oil on my back and chest but anyways im still clear.... i get like 2-3 tiny zits a month and it doesnt even bother me... its nice to be able to walk around without a shirt on because this heat wave is killer!
Can this stuff be used as the replacement for a cleanser for any regimen? Cos I'm using other topicals and don't want to mess up the whole process. Also, aren't Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulfate meant to be massive acne-causing ingredients??
Its possible but i think you find those ingredients in basically al products. and for your question noone really knows for sure, cause we're all just experimenting with it. But you can see that its had so much success for other ppl by just using the H&S twice a day. Thats what ive been doing for 2 days and i already see a reduction in acne already. its amazing.
guys please keep us all posted ( those of you who are trying this for the first time) i am very interested in it
lol well i think this topic has kind of died down cause it was started over a year ago i believe. but i still use it as a cleanser twice a day. its the by far best cleanser ive ever used. it makes your face nice and tight, and it nicely dries out your pimples. though you have to wash your face thoroughly with water to get all of the substances out or it can flake. I suggest you try it if your interested. I've been using it for 2 weeks, just the head and shoulders as a cleanser and the occasional acv, but its been working great. I haven't got any major pimples since i started using H & S, and i've lost atleast 5.
Well hope that helped
hhm.. i hope i get a really on my post. anyway, i'm from the philippines and i went to the supermarket just a this afternoon to but head and shoulders classic clean. unfortunately, the saleslady i asked told me that they do not have a classic clean variant. what i saw there were only naturally clean and clean and balanced. i just wanna know if classic clean is available here in the Philippines? i mean does product availability vary from country to country? thank you. i need a reply soon. i'm dying to get rid of my ugly face. i'll be waiting. thanks..
are you sure about that? i'm afraid i am using the wrong thing. i used naturally clean last night. i think classic clean is not available here in our country. but so far, my face got a little clearer. i notice it specially that dark spots have lightened a lot. o well, i'll be updating you about this. thanks a lot for replying. you made my day!!

Yes, I'm sure. 😀
I'm using one for 'dry scalp', and still have been getting great results, so I don't think you've got to worry too much.

I'm pretty sure they are just abrasive and a bit irritating. To combat this i just wash with it every other night. and use cetaphil every morning and every other night
I'm gonna give the H & Shoulders Classic Clean a go for my back. Can I ask how much you should use? Do you just wash your hair and let it run down the back - or apply it 'neat'/undiluted directly to the back?Sorry if someone's given these details. Thanks
hey man i been using head and shoulders just as a regular body wash and shampoo... i squirt some in a loofah type thing and wash my entire body with it doesnt matter how much u use on ur body just the regular amount.... i would give my back and chest a nice scrub morning and night and it took 3 months to clear totally... its now 1 year 5 months later and im still clear as a babys but... i even have my original posts when i started in this thread http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php...lders&st=80
good luck
yea at this point there are no marks on my chest or back just the freckles i had to begin with! but yea after i got cleared i just kinda forgot about acne down there and before i even knew it there was no marks... btw it was pretty moderate when i had it... i would have those painful cysts and even blackheads on my chest (gross)!
I do suggest though if its pretty bad for you or maybe just to get the process going faster use Nature's Cure Acne Body Spray twice a day too... and what i would do when it would get low is just by some 100% tea tree oil and dillute with water to make it like 5-10% concentration (i would just douse it in there never hurt when i put more) and mix with whatevers left in the bottle and spray with that.... both worked great even though the TTO has a very strong smell
one last thing... took about 3 months to clear
Excellent. Thanks for the tips. I have started to notice a change for the better. My back's not too bad (compared to some) but certainly visible acne which bothers me - hopefully the H&S will help me get (and keep) it clear. Thereafter it's just the blemish marks left from old acne - so I'll try your Nature's Cure - I might even look into getting one of those salon peels to take away the worst of it...
Thanks again
