Thanks for that, its always good to see science playing a role in debates. And im sure the reason we havent heard more of this sort of treatment is as you say theres no money in it, something which is far too common in todays world which values wealth over health!

Lola, You said you still had blackheads. I know some ppl say it's bad to squeeze them out but I always had to, for some reason the blackheads on my nose wouldn't push out. But after about two month using the skin solution the blackheads started to come out easily. Now I don't have any. I don't know what it does, if it loosening the plugs or what. One thing is I used to have alot of dead skin that may have blocked the pore but I don't have that anymore either. I wonder if they are loosening for you too.

Hi Wally,

yes, still getting those nasty blackheads eusa_doh.gif Things do seem to be oh so slowly improving every day though. But when I think back to eight weeks ago i can't believe the improvement!! BTW - still using the first bottle. For me it really is lasting the whole two months!

How much are you putting on each day Lola? Are you covering most of your face with it or just very specific areas?

Glad to hear you're all still improving biggrin.gif

Hi pooratbest, I am using it over my entire face and jaw, leaving it on over night and then re-apply for 15-20 minutes in the morning before I shower it off.

Can I ask why you shower it off instead of just leaving it on like you do at night?

i know this is off subject but i also suffer from sinus problems and just started taking a mega b-vitamin and i'm completely cured all of a sudden. style_emoticons/

i'm sure there is issues with taking large doses of vitamins but i've been luckily with them in the last few months and i think [Removed] makes a lot of sense that the drug companys are taking advantage of simple deficiency.

I only went for one bottle ($40 ish including s&h to get it to the UK) and thats about as much as i wana spend on it at the moment. Of course if it works il be buying more!

I really hope it does sad.gif Has it NOT worked(worked= reduced sebum significantly) for anyone here yet? (will i be the first!?)

How is everyone doing as of late? I just bought some and tried it for the first time last night. Am I supposed to notice a difference in oil production on the first day. It seems as if some of you have and some haven't.

Also, I was on tazorac gel before this. I still have plenty left. Is this vitamin A stuff better than tazorac? Any thoughts....I understand the cost is an issue for some, but I already have a tube so I wasn't sure if I should just use the tazorac. It works well, but my oil production hasn't decreased, which is my biggest problem.

Thanks in advance!

I have been using topical vitamin A for a week or two now. Though, I typically skip the morning step, though I do use it as shaving oil - quite handy. I should imagine it could be used for both wet and electric shaves.

As far as the shine goes, I have noticed a difference. It is hard to judge though, as the temperature decided to soar this past week! In hot and humid conditions I'm at my worst, oil-wise. But again, I think this will take time, so I will give it a good 8 weeks. I wonder if this stuff works for pimples (blackheads and occasional whiteheads are the worst), if we would be tempted to stop using BP? And speaking of which, since I started the regimen about a month ago, it might be hard to tell the difference of which is actually working! Any thoughts on this?

Lola, how are you getting on with vit A? Still getting better by the day? Is it helping with blackheads and such? We eagerly await your news 😉

Wally, did you find that vit A worked for whiteheads as well as blackheads? And how long where you using the regimen prior to using this?

Good luck everyone!

the company says put it on for a short time in the morning then wash it off. but i take a shower first then put it on, after breakfast i just wipe the shine off with a towel and leave it on all day. its good moisturizer. i told them and they said it might be a good idea but said sunlight will breakdown the vitamin a but won't do any harm.

Hi, everybody! For the first time in many many years I don't have one single zit anywhere on my whole body! No blackheads either. Still a couple older closed scars on my cheeks but their finally opening up. I think this is the best thing I've ever done. I was worried during those first weeks of purging, but I was brave and it's real good to be on the other side of that.

Deepboi, how can it not stop the blackheads and whiteheads with the oil turned off. It just takes time. I really think its a good idea to sqeeze the junk out to get the vit a into the pore faster.

I don't know what you mean by regamin, but I did use Accutane a couple times, and the oil always came back. Now with the oil gone I hope to use it forever, so if any of you guys ever dig up any evidence that it's not good for some reason I don't even wanna know about it.

Im curious as to how well it works long term. Even if it takes a long time to work its still worth it if it does! Im still waiting for mine to come through the post though.

Hi wally, don't get me wrong, I wasn't doubting the effects of Vit A. It's great that your having success with Vit A. I was just wondering if you used Vit A with Dan's BP regimen, like Lola is. I only started Dan's regimen a few weeks before I started using Vit A. So while the Vit A reduces the oil, I wouldn't be sure what is doing what in terms of acne. Ideally, if Vit A on its own does the job with acne, I wouldn't need to use BP.

Using Vit A seems far less a chore than BP! Except for the fact it leaves your pillow smelling a bit funny tongue.gif

Hi guys- thats great to hear your success! For those of you still using this, keep us posted! I have a cousin with much worse acne than mine and I'm really interested in showing this to him. Also, if your using the Vit A along with Dan's Regimen, could you please post your exact regimen? That sounds like it would totally destroy acne! haha thanks

After reading through this thread at least twice, I was impressed with people seeing such good results in oil control and, subsequently, their breakouts. This prompted me to order 2 bottles of the Vitamin A (shipping to Canada came to almost the cost of the products themselves, but if it works, I won't complain).

I initially tried to use the 10 drops as recommended in the instructions. I started breaking out with the type of acne that I only get when using an inappropriate, acne-aggravating product. So I stopped using the Vitamin A for about a week.

Now I am applying 5-6 drops at night. In the morning I take one drop of the Vitamin A and rub it between my palms to distribute evenly. Then I apply a very, very thin layer to my face and leave on all day. Even in the summer heat, this regime seems to provide a somewhat adequate degree of oil control and moisturization with very little to no breakouts.

Just last night I started applying 100% aloe vera gel (Fruit of the Earth), letting it dry and then applying the Vitamin A on top. Numerous people have posted their success with aloe for acne scarring so I didn't want to give up its benefits.

Thanks for bringing the topical Vitamin A to our attention. Until something better comes along, this is truly "The Vitamin Cure".

Ok, so it's been 4 weeks since I started this treatment. The Vit A+ is definitely working on the oil. I still get oily, but not nearly as bad. It'll probably be a few more weeks before I'm dry.

Acne-wise I am clear.

This is what I've been doing. It's simple and takes no time at all.

8:00 AM

Cetaphil for normal to oily skin

BP Power Pad

ScarZone on red marks

6:00 PM - home from work

BP Power Pad

ScarZone on red marks

11:00 PM - before bed

Cetaphil for normal to oily skin

Vit A+ Skin Solution

If I have a zit, I spot treat with Neosporin cream

Results:

1. I'm zit free! Still have some blackheads.

2. The ScarZone has diminished my red marks big time! I've only been on this for a week or so. Hopefully this will continue to work.

Take care,

Sync

Would this work? It's not nearly the same IU as the vitamin cure stuff, but its still vitamin a in liquid form.

Well thats designed to be taken orally, rather than put on the skin like this. I'd guess it isnt absorbed as well through the pores because of this. Personally i dont see any harm in trying it EXTERNALLY, i wouldnt use it internally though!
