Hm, I think that should work, as long as the formula is similar. The C&C Blackhead Scrub is amazing though. Unlike other SA washes, this makes your skin super smooth somehow. The beads can be messy, but I think that's what causes the smoothness.

I'm on like day 5 of this regimen, and my skin is pretty clear, except for one blemish. The others were healed after draining them, and scabbed over within a day. :] I love this.

Also, at night, I add ProActiv Repairing lotion IN ADDITION to SA/BP washes. I put it on after the 2 washes. I think it's pretty effective. And of course lotion on top of all that.

Thanks Max Attack for replying!

I have the Blackhead scrub and I absolutely LOVE it because it makes my skin feel so smooth, I hope that the 5% works as well. Ive only used it twice so far so I dont know how effective it is as of yet.

I also use the repairing lotion from ProActiv and I think it works pretty well. I havent tried applying it over the other BP yet so I think I'll try that tonight.

I really hope this method works for me as much as it helped others!

Yeah, I was kind of skeptical, but looking at all the success coming from this thread, I tried it, and my acne is lessened by a great amount. I'm only on day 6, and my skin is smoother and more clear. But for most, it takes a month to see real results.

Best of luck.

If anyone has anymore questions, I'll try to answer em. :]

I came off Accutane in March 2007.

Unfortunately I could only find the blackhead scrub and moisturisor, not the actual wash. Do they do it in the UK?

I'm in the same boat as you, mate. I browsed various superdrugs & boots outlets and couldn't find the 'continous' one.

The scrub is good, but to get full effects you need the BP wash. Try to find a wash at a store with benzoyl peroxide in it. You'll get similar results. Just SA won't do much by itself except clear blackheads.

BP might slow down redmarks, but that mainly happens if skin is constantly dry and does not get a chance to heal. The SA wash should actually help fade the redmarks and the BP wash should help prevent new pimples to start new redmarks. It sounds pretty good on paper...

My face is red from BP all the time...that's why im moving it to once a day as I never got adjusted over 3 months. I didn't have break outs, its just that its irratated, it doesn't mean you will break out.

Well my improvents were mild...some weeks id have no active pimples, other weeks one or two.

I should specify that my new regimen is an SA face wash in the morning, followed by spot teatment with 10% BP. I use dan's regimen at night. So very similar, but different. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm on my second day with it, bp twice a day made my face way to red and irratated.

Update...

I have now been using ths regimin for the last 3 and a half months and I'm absolutely amazed. I went to a dermatologist on July 28th of this year and although my acne was moderate, it was getting bad enough that he he signed me up for blood work for accutane. I almost considered it until I found this. I really wish I had before and after pictures because I look in the mirror today and can't believe what i'm seeing. There is not a single active pimple, there are only some tiny fading red marks from acne on my left temple that had been bad for YEARS.

I wish I could better describe how well this worked. Before I started it in early August my face and neck were hideous at times. I'd get breakouts of pimples coming in groups of 3 and 4, one time I think within 2 days there was a group of like 7 new pimples on the side of my neck. Before the summer i had moderate acne but over the summer it got rediculously bad and I don't know why. Either way I started taking this regimin. I didn't notice too much after a month. I believe I had pretty bad breakouts in my 3rd week and then again in my 5th or 6th week but since then it's been smooth sailing. My face is like 95% clear right now and for the first time in my life i'm getting comments of how I have nice skin.

just a note, i've been using the 5% BP so because of that I use both the BP and SA morning and night.

im debating whether or not i should try this, im using proactive and its not working whatsoever (like the first week i used it, it got a little better, but now its worse than it was). its really cheap and i feel like i have nothing to lose. only thing is that im only 15 and i have hormonal acne. oh well, i guess i will try it and ill keep you updated

I don't believe this regimen is meant for any specific age group, it will treat any type of acne though according to the starter...

yeah this definitely isn't a "cure" for acne. It won't matter what kind of acne it is, just as long as you stick with the regimin long enough for it to really take effect (a couple months) it will clear you up and keep you clear.
