I couldn't continue using the blackhead wash - it wasn't exfoliating enough for me and I wound up with scores of clogged pores. I've got skin of steel and it just wasn't penetrating. I switched to St. Ives Medicated scrub (it's still got the 2.5% SA) and it helped to cut down on those bad boys.

I'l try that then. Thank you.
I think I'm going to try the St. Ives Medicated scrub instead of the regular SA as well. View my gallery and you'll notice their is really no improvement, but that might just be because its only around week 4. Just curious, where do you think I can find the St. Ives Medicated Scrub at?
most products do have comedogenic properties i mena its very hard to avoid that but they are generally one of the last ingredients or in the middle .. so no you won't break out .. you shouldn't b so concerned with that .. the only way you will break out is id the product is comedogenic like i hear cocoa butter is comedogenic so if u buy pure cocoa butter yea u might rbeak out but if you buy a product with cocoa butter and it slike one of the last or in the middle nothing will happen. Ingredients generlly start with what is more in the products and the last ones mean there sint much of it in it.
Wait so do i apply the BP without drying my face after the wash? How much should i be applying finger wise (im using 5% BP)?
Yes, after you wash with the SA, you leave your face still wet, then put on the BP. I normally put about a toothpaste amount on my fingers, then I rub it around my hands and spread it out, then apply it to my wet face. After rubbing to my face for around 30 seconds, I rinse it off, then dry my face with a towel.
ok gonna switch from dans regimen to this one as dans not 100% clearing me up! im gonna be using panoxyl 10 bp wash and c&c deep pore cream sa wash will probably do both twice a day and see how it goes, any last minute tips?
I wish you luck. And try it for at least 2 months before you give up. Good luck
I am coming up on 5 weeks and I have to say, I'm starting to see improvements. I will post some new pics as soon as I get my digital camera back
Has anyone else been seeing good results? Any pics please??? Im thinking of starting this regimen......feedback is welcomed....thanks!
I've been using for about 5 weeks and I am noticing quite an improvement. Mind you, I did have a breakout week 4, but it cleared really fast, and I will contiune this regimen. I love that my face is never dry like in Dan's regimen, and that I don't have to apply moisturizer.
If you have sensitive skin like it seems Aussie does, I don't recommend the SA with the exfoliating beads for they might irritate your skin and make it more red than it already was. For me, after washing with the SA and BP, my face is very smooth, I'm not dry at all. Before I used this regimen, I used proactiv which did dry me out and I had to use moisturizer, I'm fine now.
The only thing the regimen really doesn't account for is exfoliation. It has cleansers that help remove some dirt, sebum and dead skin, but cleansers don't do near enough for some people. Salicylic acid drastically helps with exfoliation--cleansing of the pores. The only problem is figuring out which people would benefit and which people would have their skin irritated. Furthermore, what time is best to apply salicylic acid and how long between the application of benzoyl peroxide? Well I am going to experiment with this myself soon.

PS: kidcoder, Why are you using 10% benzoyl peroxide solution?
