i havent been able to find any info on whether this regimen is really bleaching? i mean does it screw my hair if it touches it while washing? i have alot of acne along my hair line and it would be quite difficult to get at it if i have to be careful not to touch my hair as well. Also does it destroy clothes as readily as the regular benzoyl peroxide leave on cream does? i cant describe how much money on clothes ive lost because of that gunk =P destroys my hair my skin and my clothes, gotta love acne =P

anywho any and all help would be much appreciated.

cheers,

adrian

To anyone who is on is on this regimen...

Are any of you on the Tazorac + antibiotic regimen?? Do you recommend using the C&C BP wash + SA wash in the morning with tazorac at night or is it an overdose?? Any experiences??

Any advice is really appreciated!!! Thanks!

Hey Doodle, I've been on this regimen for a couple of weeks now, and I haven't noticed any bleaching whatsoever (I have dark hair) and I use it right up to my hairline and over my eyebrows. So, I think you'll be fine

I live in the UK where we can't get the C&C BP wash so I'm using this PanOxyl wash that has 10% bp in it. Been doing the regime with this stuff for 6 days now and I think I'm breaking out becasue it's all coming to the surface...well I hope so! I'm going to stick with it though. I was just wondering if anyone else from the UK was using an alternative to the C&C BP wash in this regime and if it was going well? Cheers! xx

I have altered this regimen to replace a tea tree foaming wash instead of BP wash, and then apply BP gel / cream. Its working great. I use the C&C deep cleansing cream wash

ok well ive been on this for about 5 days now and im breaking out like a madman!

i think stress is playing a big part in it all as well. ive just recently upped it to sa and bp 3 times a day where the second time is before dinner and its really quick and mild just to make sure i get the time coverage i need. i was finding that my face was REALLY oily and felt all mucky so it needed a wash again mid day. thoughts? not noticing a realy strong drying effect. although when i first started doing this regime it made my skin feel like nothing else ive ever felt before, it was heaven! now it doesnt seem to be doing that. i dont know what to do.

cheers,

adrian

hes way gone.. cuz hes like clear.

sa helps with red spots, bp helps with acne

no i wouldnt do that, and retina is shit.. drying, red, causes more acne and is expensive

anything else, just pm me

Im in Retina a micro .04% and im really confused right now. I have used it for about 3 and a half weeks now so i had to go through that initial breakout crap and everything. i have to say it has worked as far as cleaning the acne up and stuff but now im running into a problem. it seems to leave red marks which i understand it does and they ar fading in a decent rate, but sometimes i think its leaving me with litte pitted scars and i dont want that. plus im a fisherman and no matter what im gonna be in the sun so that sucks too.

so i want to try this because i agree that less is more with skin and espec your face, the delicate of all your skin. i but i def dont want to breakout all over again i mean that would suck. oh yea im on Duac too, so i think my skin could handle this regimen. what do u think?

oh yeah and it should help with fading red marks too?

really confused and my acne isnt even that severs so im thinkin i shouldnt be on RAM/DUAC.

screw it I dont think i need the RAM/Duac that stuff is potent and like i said im outside a lot and it is limiting me to do what i really like doing. i couldnt even walk to class today, aprox a mile or so, wihtout the cold/wind makin my face red and all hot. i dont need that shit man. i could do everything before this medication and have no problems just occasional zits. and i think that was because i wasnt using a regimen to fight bacteria and remove dead skin cells. if you think about this regimen it makes perfect sense. i wish i read this before i went to the derm.

second of all i think i can handle these products because im 100% italian so therefore i def dont have sensitive skin. and also the RAM is like a powerwasher under you skin so i assume it purged a lot shit.

im gonna use nothign for a day or so because of these other meds and then start gently with this stuff. maybe just sa morning and bp night for a little. i just dont want an initial breakout because i jsut had to go through all that. but i dont think there should be much left to purge IMO. hopefully now.

what the hell its worked for a lot of people and like i said my acne is mild and i def dont need to create scars. so we ll see what happens.

thanks for this help and if it works i owe you if it doesnt well i dont care so much because i dont want to be on presc.

just a quick question, did anybody who use this method (C&C Sa & C&C Bp) get an initial breakout? and how bad was it?

ok well ive been on it for about 8 - 9 days now and im clearing up quite nicely, still breaking out but its doing decent. im not sure if its because im using it too much or too little. i dont have sensitive skin really so it doesnt seem to cause any serious problems. as i said after the washes my skin feels so great, partly from the menthol and partly because it just feels so SOFT and CLEAN. i would say i have moderate acne, with maybe 5-6 active spots at any given point in time.

I think Dans regime could work for me as well but that really made my skin sensitive to sun and destroyed my hair and my clothes and really did clear me up all that much either really. I think exfoliation is the key for me to stay clear, but what im having trouble working with is if i use the blackhead scrub to exfoliate more than twice a day....im in essence washing off the BP wash from before so i feel the need to do that again too. Think doing BP and SA wash 4 times a day is overdoing it if my skin doesnt dry out crazy?

cheers,

adrian

Aaaarrrggghhh! How does should the inital break out last?! I've been doing this regime for nearly 2 weeks now (modifying the BP wash with panoxyl 10% BP wash as we dont get C&C BP wash in the UK) and have been getting more spots on my cheeks and around my lips for about a week or so now. The cheeks are the worst place to get spots as they scar more easily and they're more obvious. Please console me with your experiences of your skin looking wonderful after the initial break out!

im exactly the same way actually. its cleared up everywhere on my face except my cheeks and around my mouth. im considering just using the bp and sa wash twice a day but using actual BP cream and moisturizer at night to make sure i stay clear in the more problematic areas. i know its only been not even 2 weeks for me so this could be initial breakout as well, but to be honest i dont really understand the theory of initial breakout anyways. does anyone know the science behind it? i know they say the life of a pimple is a few weeks but in all honesty weve all experianced the fact that a pimple forms within hours. it may last weeks, but the idea of pimples being under your skin just waiting to happen and they pop up weeks later seems rather ludicrous. when a pore gets clogged i cant see it taking more then 24 hours for the signs to show up and a pimple very quickly afterwards. You know even though this isnt working 100% for me yet, i have faith and im not getting down because others have had success in the long term and my skin does feel great PLUS im finally learning for myself what works and doesnt for me and im confident that in the future ill be aware enough to have created a routine that really does the trick. This might be a bit premature, but i want to say thanks to everyone on this great site for helping me take this problem into my own hands. Heres to myself and everyone hopefully getting clear =)

*raises his cup*

cheers,

adrian

alrite im gettin pissed off. I am currently on this regimen while taking 3g of vitamin B5 a day. Ive heard so many good things from THIS SITE, about so many products. Now this current regimen should keep my skin clear seeing as how I only have mild acne and all I take these medications for is to prevent breakouts. Im only 5 days in with these products but I am getting numerous white heads in the morning and during the day, and I never had such great amounts of them before. My forehead is also really oily and I never ever had oily skin. Many of you will say "initial breakout", thats complete bull - I never had a initial breakout with any other products I used years back including accutane. So the thought that over the counter medications are causing my skin to get worse and that everybody reccomended them is kind of irritating.

Does anyone else get oily skin from this damn continous control which is suppose to dry the skin?

Catty:

I'm into my 4th week of this regimen, and i also had an initial breakout that lasted for about 2.5 weeks. After that I started clearing up and haven't had any new pimples since and my face is now almost completely clear, so stick with it!

I was on Dan's Regimen for maybe 6 months and I switched over to this one a couple weeks ago. Problems I've noticed so far, which I'm hoping just resolve themselves, are: Yes, very oily skin, and I've also been getting a lot of really small blackheads on my forehead and on my nose - 2 places I've NEVER broken out before. I'm going to continue this regimen for a while longer though and see if I clear up. I'm thinking this might just be a temporary problem. I'm also taking 900mg of Pantethine to hopefully reduce my oil production. We'll see what happens. Good luck to you.
