three questions i have for you

did you have these bumps before starting on this regimen?

how long have you been doing this regimen?

also, have you been picking or squeezing at the bumps?

i notice that if i pick or squeeze at things that aren't really anything, they can turn red and stay that way for awhile.

that's an important bit of advice, leave them alone! squeezing bumps that don't actually have anything in them will do nothing but make them red and cause them to clog even more (from inflammation in the pore).

yea i had some before but they werent that noticable. they used to be more of a white color, but now they are red so they look like pimples or scars i cant tell.

ive been doing this regime for about 3 weeks now.

and I DO NOT SQUEEZE BUMPS! never have never will !

Thanks!

I have those red marks too, they will fade with time. The important thing to watch is if you still breakout, not the red marks on your face

About the Mandelic Serum, do you dab a little on the red marks or all over the face? Can you tell me the brand that you all buy, thanks!

I put a thin layer over my entire face at night. Might as well exfoliate the whole thing. I bought from skincarerx.com and not sure of the brand, but it is the only one they carry.

Thanks a million Botchla these two products are so great I cant describe them. I am 93% Clear after about 4 days, and I have discovered some more tricks which work for me and I am here to share them with everyone.. So here we go..

This is the procedure I go through every day; I wake up in the morning and go wash my face with these two wonderful products, first wash my face in hot water get it nice and clean then apply the SA Scrub, and keep rubbing it around for about 1 minute, and wash it off with mild water. Then I proceed to apply the BP cleanser and rub around the face for a good minute also, then wash it off and PAT it down with a clean towel. After my face is dry I apply a product called Desquam-X Which is a great Benzoyl Peroxide Gel 5% and it keeps the face good not like plastic =D> like other ones did, apply it like DAN describes it and avoid applying it under the eyes because it can irritate that area and its better to avoid it style_emoticons/ after thats done to all active pimples apply a DOT not rubbing in of "Clearasil Adult Care Acne Treatment Cream, Tinted"

it comes in a small tube... here is a pic " [Edited link out]" MAKE SURE IT IS THE "Sulfur Resorcinol Acne Medication" ONE!!

.. After 45min-1hour pass wash your face with hot water then rinse with cold and thats it... also at night... repeat the same except applying the Desquam-X and leave the Sulfur Clearasil on active pimples over night!!

Well this is all folks. Hope it helps like it is helping me!! Once again I thank you Dan and Botchla!

P.S Tanning also helps cover scars and marks ect... so go to the Tanning salon! you wont be disappointed

I wouldn't necessarily advise tanning.

Well Botchla, i've been using those products the way you have, but only once a day, and it has so far been trenchant with my acne. Thanx for sharing. The acne cure worked for me, but I just couldn't keep up with the consistency in washing day and night, then that iceing stuff which I really never did. Perhaps less is more.

Does anyone know if these products are availible in Europe? I prefer to buy them online somewhere. Drugstore.com does not ship them to europe (becauseof what??).

I am very interested in this!

I got 100% clear on the acne cure...for exactly 2 days...now I have 5 very painful pimples. ](*,) WTF!?

I am considering just skipping the glycolic for a while and using the SA and BP portion only. (Although, I have zero irritation with the gylcolic...I've just read of it being the source of problems for so many here on the board...)

What do you think? Should I do that and use up the products I have now, or toss them and head to wal-mart for the C&C products?

personally, i've found that other SA and BP products didn't work too well. i think the others have found that too. the 2 C&C products seem to work excellent together for some unknown reason. i would head to walmart and grab them. you can always save your current products for later use if necessary. you should see my cabinet, i have like 20 freakin old products that are unfinished.

plus, the C&C is inexpensive, it will cost you less than 10 dollars for both, tax included.

So Botchla, do u feel that the C and C clearing wash is better than

applying benzoyl peroxide cream or gel?....u know , the type u leave on as opposed to wash off?......

I just started on this. Is it normal for your face to be really red after washing with the two C&C products to begin with?

...which is why moisterizing daily is important!

indeed, but 2x a day exfoliation + 10% bp 2x a day (even if applied for a short period of time) is going to wreak havoc on my skin

but that's just me.

though i should mention i think that for most people, exfoliation is critical. that's one of the downfalls to dans regimen. no exfoliation for me = whiteheads.

Why are you applying 10% bp?

i'm not going to say what's good and what's bad and what's better.. i just know what has worked for me.. and judging from the responses to this thread, it is working for many others as well.

as blahblahblah said, it seems like this regimen would be extremely drying/irritating.. but i think most people realize it's not nearly as much as they thought. the C&C SA wash is not drying or irritating at all (compared to other products like the neutrogena ones), and the 10% BP wash is only drying at first or if you get too hardcore with it and scrub it into your face for like 5 minutes every time. if you were to leave it on, yeah of course that would fry your skin, but all you do is wash with it for 30-45 seconds.

i have absolutely no problems with dryness or irritation. if you're one of those people with super sensitive skin and this turns you into a shedding snake, then sorry i guess, go try something else.. i'm just trying to help others. not everything is going to be perfect for everyone.

for those people who don't want to try it or want to criticize it, i couldn't give a damn if i tried.. i'm not hoping to screw people over with my suggestions, i'm just trying to help. your decision to try it or not affects my life in 0 ways.

Why are you applying 10% bp?

Out of curiosity, have you read the thread?

and botchla - i'm not "knocking" your regimen. i think the best regimens are ones that are personalized. i could do SA in the morning and BP at night with no irritation, and it'd just be a spin off of what you do.

acne is pretty much all about customization - don't make the assumption that if 2x a day of the above products is too harsh for some people, that they shouldnt bother with the products. i've tried the C&C bh scrub and i think it's one of the best exfoliators around due to it's lack of irritation

Jenaphile, if I read it correctly, the cleanser has 10% bp in it.

According to Paula Begoun, cosmetic expert, cleanser with bp is useless, because you're washing it off, and bp needs time to absorb.

I only wash once a day and i've been clear with this for a week and a half, a little red right after washing but goes away in a couple min. Jenaphile, when you rub your skin with the Continuous control, it is getting absorbed/deposited into your skin so it's not getting washed off(entirely).

and botchla - i'm not \"knocking\" your regimen

nah, i wasn't talking about you.. i was just talking in general. you didn't even really say anything besides it would wreak havoc on *your* skin.

jenaphile, for you.. the point of the cleanser why it works better than the others (and why it got the name "continuous control") is that it is supposed to use some chemical or method to allow the BP to remain after you wash. not to the point where if you were to leave a layer of BP on your face, but enough to be effective.

if you ask the people that use it, read the reviews, comments, etc.. it is obviously a very effective product.

i just tried this regime and my face has become A LOT clearer in only 2 days

i was wondering, what do you do when you get sweaty during the day? like after you run or lift weights?

like i lift weights/do mixed martial arts during the day so aorund 5pm im sweaty... should i just use a cleanser (i have cetaphil) or do you think itd be ok to reapply the blackhead scrub and continuous control? or would that be too much?

keep in mind i have a very oily face and overuse of these proudcts may cause more oil
