I was checking out this topic for the first dozen or so pages, and it looks like it's a pretty solid plan. I have two questions, though, and I'd appreciate if someone could help me out:

I like to use some 2.5% BP cream once or twice during the day (including the times when I put it on in the morning or evening), because it seems to reduce redness for me if I have some problem spots. Also, BP cream has definitely worked well for me in general, as I've been applying it at night. So is using BP cream (and leaving it on) along with botchla's regimen a good idea?

Second question: I haven't read through all 60 pages of this topic, so I'm wondering if the regimen described in botchla's original post is still the one that you guys are working off of. Has the accepted regimen changed over the course of the topic?

Thanks.

For the first question about BP cream, here's my opinion, as I've been doing this regimen for 2 weeks now with moderate acne and some redness. I use 5% BP, made by the C&C line, it's called PersaGel 5 or something, but I think it's 10% in the US. I'd recommend getting this, as I have seen some amazing spot treatment results with it. Furthermore, I wouldn't recommend putting it all over your face and leaving it at night. I did this for the first week, and didn't see that much of a result from the regimen...I think the whole good thing about it is it gives your face time to breath. When I stopped putting it all over my face at night, I found my red marks faded quite quickly. I'd use it as more of a spot treatment, but go for a week and see what works for you.

For your second question, no you don't have to read all the pages. The first one is important, but the rest of the posts will give you some other ideas for fading red marks/spot treating/initial breakouts and the such, so don't be afraid to skim them if your bored. The regimen I see most using is the same, the only difference being some people (like myself) use BP gel to spot treat at night, as well as use some other things to fade redmarks. But yes, the regimen from the first post is the same as the one most use.

Now since I've written such a long post already, I guess I'll try list some good things I've seen written on the other pages. Spot treatment is good, and as you get further into the first week, chances are you will get a breakout around your mouth and jawline. MOST people have, but it's nothing to worry about. If you went and searched my posts from several days ago, I was complaining and scared, but they have all since passed and I am incredibly clear, just gotta get those red marks. I recommend PersaGel, which is a C&C product, it will be on the shelf with the rest of the stuff. Very good for spot treating. Another thing, for fading those awful redmarks without causing more pimples, I use 'Herbal Logix Spot, Scar And Blemish Creme'. It has a mild scent, but me with horribly sensitive skin I haven't had a reaction and I've been using it for 4 days now. It has reduced some redness a bit, maybe 20%, which is good. These are only tips however, feel free to search the board and try some others out on your own.

Thanks.

do you guys use that black head scrub every day?

Yes, I use it 3 times a day. Once in the morning, once when I get home from school as my face is usually sweaty/oily, and once at night. It's good on the skin and I haven't had any problems.

Hey guys, im from the uk and havent been able to purchase the C and C continuous control, so ive got panoxyl 10% BP wash, i presume its probably exactly the same.

I havent got my blackhead clearing scrub yet, but thats for 2mrw,

anway i have used the wash just once, and now my chin is very red, its gunna turn all dry and flaky i can tell, i dont understand you guys have not once mentioned that it has had effects like this. That the wash will make your face red and prbably dry afterwards. So what am i to do?? Stop using it before i can tell if its having an effect??

Has anyone else had this reddening of the face and chin???? Its so annoying, everyone finds this works but im the only one that has a reaction to it?, i never had a reaction to BP 10% gel, is it the panoxyl?and clean and clear has different stuiff in it?? (cos im bit sceptical of that, and anyways i cant get it in britain....dont go there you cant get it here, trust me!!)

does the redness go down with conitnued use????

I dunno bro, I didn't get any redness. It is a different brand, and might have a different chemical makeup (if that even makes sense ). If it is causing you irritation tho, that usually leads to more breakouts. I would probably go off of it, but if you wanna give it a shot go for it.

What are your opinions on this new idea for this moisturizer? Am I putting too many chemicals or products on my face every day?

Right now I'm thinking of doing the two washes (SA dn 10% bp wash), along with this C&C Dual-Action Moisturizer, which has SA in to.... Should I stick with a normal mositurizer and lay off all the chemicals for a few hours a day or give this a shot..

Also, at night, id be doing both washes, some 5%bp spot treatment, and this SA moisturizer again.

This past week, my first week on this regimen, I was doing SA wash in the morning with some almond oil ( all natural), and then at night both washes and the almond oil again..

I may be adding in two new products, both which have the same chemicals/ ingredients as the washes.

What do you think?

SA wash. BP wash. BP spot treat. and SA lotion, seems like alot.... any idea?S

You could try it, I mean everyone is different right? I don't personally, as ANY moisturizer breaks me out, so when I get dry skin guess what? I have to sit through it, and it sucks huge. If your already a week in with no problems however, I don't see you having that much of a problem doing anything else, but remember to take it slow. Don't put too much stuff on at first as it might aggrivate you.

Also, about that question of letting your skin breath...well I do it at night, because I noticed when I put on the BP gel at night all night, I woke up and my pimples were the same, but the redness was taking a looooooooooong time to go away, a possible side effect I guess. For me, letting my skin breath at night, while doing some spot treatment, really worked well. Also, putting a little bit of that herbal logix stuff on has reduced some of the redness. But again, everyone is different, so try your own way and see what happens.

Hello all...

I've been on this treatment for about two weeks and I did get that initial breakout that everyone mentions. But it's since subsided, & I'm looking a lot better now my question is about the "red" marks that are being stubborn & not dissapearing. What does everyone think of the apple cider vinegar (ACV) method of removing the red marks?

Any other ideas or methods for removing those stubborn redmarks (remnants/leftovers of a dried up pimple) are welcome...

Thanks all...

Apple cidar vinegar....you mix half of that with half of water and apply to face or where you have scars and let dry for at least 5 minutes then I apply the herbal logix cream and in just a few days I have seen amazing results in my skin!

Jade 80.

I'm glad to hear your skin is looking great, that's what I like to hear. Not to be a pest or anything but wouldn't Apple Cider Vinegar be A.C.V ? I'm just pointing this out as to no confuse anyone with this acronym.

Thanks,

AL-X...

Here's my history with this regimen.

Used it for about two weeks. No big problems, seemed to work pretty well.

Stopped, switched to some other products. But quickly swiched back to this regimen.

Started on this regimen again, but for the first week of returning to it, I've had about 5-6 pimples show up in 4 days. I usually never get that many in 4 days. But I figured it was my face almost going into shock from swiching from so many products so quickly.

Comments? Should I stick with this regimen for another week or two? Will my results improve?

Jade 80,

When did you start your regimen & how long before you saw results?

I'm gonig to start this soon as well and I'll post with my progress.

I have been using a BP Wash (5%) for about a week now, with no breakouts. I'm guessing it's because I'm also taking Tetracycline, which is inhibiting the Bacteria within the skin?

Either way, I will be purchasing some C&C Blackhead Clearing Scrub and I will follow the routine that was mentioned by someone a few pages back:

BP in the morning

SA and BP in the evening.

Now, I just need to make sure my moisturizer that I have been using for years isn't going to cause any problems with breakouts...(Aveeno Baby Lotion)

I have been on it for two weeks, before finding this site I had broken out bad, I think it was either just the hot weather or being stressed! I tried the BP and SA wash together and for teh first two days so great results but the next few days broke out badly and was gonna stop.

But then I realized that all my clogged pores and stuff had to resurface and heal before I truly could have clear skin so I stayed on teh regimen. I then stopped using the SA scrub and I only use it maybe 2-3 times a week and only use the BP wash twice a day, But I also use my own stuff that has worked for me in the past, HERBAL LOGIX acne and spot treatment and noticed I was healing quite quickly and the scars were fading.

But just a few nights ago I read the thread about Apple cidar and added that to my program and today lookingin the mirror I am 98-99% clear! The old acne scars are healing so fast! I do have to note that I use the apple cidar twice a day, morning and night and the herbal logix 2-3 times a day!

I am not saying this plan will work for everyone cause there is not ONE plan that will work for everyone cause everyone has different skin and different acne. But I have had amazing and fast results by doing this!

Hope this helps!

Since im doing this routine, and my skin looks rather 'precious' and a tad dry - Is it a bad idea to get a light AHA peel to help with these stubborn red scars ?

Well, just posting in to say hi. I am on week 3 now, or maybe 4 I forget. Yea, the breakout around my mouth has subsided pretty much, there are still a few that have to scab over and fall off, but they have pretty much stopped. I'm still using that Herbal Logix stuff as I've got red marks to fade, and then I will be clear.

I also wanted to tell everyone that is on this...DO NOT PICK YOUR PIMPLES. I don't care how much puss they have on them, do not pick them. I did around my mouth, and they come back, always after a week. Just use spot treatments or whatever, but do not pick them. It's the worst mistake you can make and you will end up getting discouraged when they come back.

So yea, I guess it's taken me 3 weeks for all that gunk to come to the surface, but it's getting there. So yea, don't be discouraged if your still getting whiteheads, it's normal. I'll post further progress in a few days.

Peace.

gawd well ive got an appointment with teh beautician on Wed and she usaully does alot of extractions.....

its good cause she knows which ones to take out and does it well - ie. it doesnt cause more to crop up i dont think??

But since im doing this BP things seem to take ages to heal and maybe i should just cancel this appointment and avoid any squeezing like everyone seems to be suggesting?

Since im heading into my third week, i thought she might give me a booster by removing all the ones that are ready to surface so i can start afresh with the bp with no old pimples waiting to come up.

Yeah, that happend to me too. Everything surfaced over a week and I got like 6-8 pimples. That's about the most I've had at one time. It sucked, but it's been 4 days and I haven't even had a bump yet. So I'm sticking to it. I'm going to try ACV/H2o mixture tonight to fade some really annoying red-marks.

To Sierra....im in sydney too, do you know where i can get those Herbal Logix??

Some questions for you:

1. I am in Sydney, I could only find C&C 5%BP and C&C blackhead clearing cleanser, do u think this is okay? Botchla's regime said must use 10%BP and C&C blackhead clearing "scrub" instead of "cleanser", but i couldnt find the scrub here.

2. This is my first day on Botchla's, do u use the herbal logix after the 2 C&C's wash? how often do u apply herbal logix on ur face?

3. I've got big bottle ACV from woolworths, should i pour half of ACV and mix it wth water in another bottle and use cotton to apply on my face?

4. While using Herbal Logix, is that okay to use the ACV as well?

hope u or anyone can help wth my questions

cheer..

I use the apple cider first then I wait like 5 minutes and use the Herbal Logic...Dont soak ur skin with the ACV and water solution, just a small amount is good! Just find a small bottle and use that, dont mix large quanities, because I perfer small ones that are freshly mixed everyday!

Hi Jade80, thanx.

Im currently not using the herbal thingie, coz i havent got it. Im on Botchla's now.

Can i apply the ACV after the wash and leave it whole nite (until next morning), and im working everyday, should i keep applying it and go to work? Or after washing, i apply the ACV for 1 hr and rinse it off?

cheers
