Inositol is commonly combined with selenium to treat thyroid conditions, taking it seems to be hard on the adrenal glands though

used a few times before helped a bit but as soon as you stop you go back to where you started.

IIRC, Dr. Wong (From Hasson & Wong) uses 0.2mg every 3 days or so.

Wow.
Please keep us in the loop dude. The more updates the better, This is huge.
God bless you for going down this path, as scary as it is, it may be my only solution next if Thyroid/Progesterone fails me.
If you can, please take good quality pictures every 4 weeks at the LEAST. You don't want to be 6 months in and not sure if it's working at all or not.
Had thyroid tested twice and came back normal twice. Tried selenium and iodine a few times which didnt help either. Tried finisteride which didnt help either. Next thing im trying is a liver detox. The guys on the accutane forum said there hairloss stopped after flushing there liver, im thinking as we took high amounts of b5 taking liver detox supplements may help. Ive tried almost everything now so its worth a shot.

I started taking b5 at a gram a day for about 4 months until I noticed it was drying my skin out and making my hair fall out and become very brittle. Still to this day if I drink any caffeine, sugar or alchohol it reacts bad with me and starts the process of my skin getting dry and my hair falling out. I have eaten clean for a while now and it helps a lot. It's hard to do but no sugar, alchohol, or caffeine and I feel great skin is nice and hair starts coming back. I have done a lot of research here as of late because I have had time. I am a veteran and have been very busy for the last 8 years no chance to slow down. Anyways with all the research I have done I believe the next thing I am gonna try is a thyroid supplement for hypothyroidism. I think the b5 may have interacted with something in my body and stopped my thyroid from producing the right amount of hormone. Going to get a hypothyroidism support pill off amazon and try that. Maybe the b5 depleted selenium or iodine levels. Just a thought maybe it will help. Will update with my findings. The body is a fine tuned machine. Anything can be fixed within he body it's the right ingredients. Good luck everyone. Let's figure this out.
Everything you've listed is typically found on any adrenal fatigue avoidance list
My theory has always been that its adrenal related as b5 affects the adrenals. Whats everyone taking at the moment? Has anyone managed to control the shedding. I think we need probiotic supplements for the gut, anti inflammatories and antioxidants. Im going to try niacin again, i read b5 can impact niacin levels in the body. I tried it once before but not for long as i struggled with the flush.
I tried all the stuff listed in the main feed about this. Nothing worked. About a week ago i stopped all supplements and now i only take a 500mg vit C, a vitamin water, and 2 cups of Spearmint tea daily. My shedding slowed with the incorporation of the Spearmint tea. It is known to have some effect on hormones. But I'm a female, so it may effect me differently than men. I recommend giving it a try. I used to lose roughly 50 hairs at a time in the shower but The last 4 days I am losing fewer hairsso something is definitely happening.
