Can everyone please try using Selsun Blue shampoo with 1% selenium.

Use every other day. 5min on, rinse, then another 5min, rinse. total time 10mins.

It inhibits PGD2. a lot of guys on private hair loss forum using it with good results. kills itch and stops shedding.

I am using it, so far so good!!!

I highly recommend taking probiotics and eating high fiber diets everybody.

There's a possibility this has something to do with our gut and the massive amount of b5 doing damage to it. I do remember having diarrhea only when I started the megadose.

Hi guys,

A few years back, I also tried to treat my chronic acne by megadosing on B5, and similarly started to lose my hair shortly after. Like many, I tried different things to reverse this with limited success.
I think I have finally zoomed in on the root cause. Shortly after I startedtakingb5 my stool had also changed (and kinda stayed that waysince). Lookingback, Ibelieve that that was a sign ofb5 megadosingthrowing my gut microbiome out of kilter. The more I thinkabout it, the more I'm convinced that the symptoms I wasexperiencing, includingthe shedding, weredue to a "leaky gut"caused by acandida "overgrowth". That's why a low-carb,healthydiet in combination withprobiotics and other gut-beneficial remedies (colostrum, spirulina, hydrolyzed collagen, etc.) seem to help. Thecandida hypothesis can be tested by applying adecent topical antifungal agentto the scalp to see if it makes a difference. For me, the GAPS dietalong with the daily use ofciclopirox shampoo/clotrimazole cream have pretty much stopped my hair shedding.

4 months on fin and not much difference with my hair to be honest. Still shedding pretty bad but probably nowhere near as bad as when i first started. Positive news is still no side effects. Still, I'd be lying if i said I wasn't a bit disappointed, although it's still early days.

Hi guys, possibly an important update. As I said before I started regrowing hair a few months back and posted some pics. I wasn't sure at the time if it was a thyroid supplement or inositol. So what I did was quit inositol and just use the thyroid supplement and sure enough I wasn't noticing any more hairs regrowing any more, it's easy to tell because it feels like stubble on my scalp when I wash my hair.

So around the end of December I bought some more inositol and made a prediction that it takes 2 months for hairs to start regrowing based on what happened last time when I took it. I estimated that around the end of February I should start noticing regrowth again and I was right. For the last 2 weeks I have these strong stubble like hairs growing around my temples again.

I have no idea if this will work the same for others, we already had lots of people try inositol before after a thread was started about it but perhaps people weren't patient enough. Anyway I'll keep you updated and take more pics if things look promising.

Nizoral kind of helped but this selsun makes my head feel really fresh and has definitely reduced the itching thats for sure. Taurine has helped snd so has inliven. I've tried many many different things over the last 6 years but yet to try inositol so I've ordered some. I'll keep you guys updated. The only thing that worries me is that some studies say it reduces testosterone.

You guys are talking about selsun blue...I used to have the worst dandruff and itchy scalp ever. Then I discovered that shampoo 6 years ago, it worked fantastically, it's the only one that did anything. So not sure if inositol helps with that but it's the only thing that caused new hairs to grow that's for sure.

I've tried saw palmetto before so I'm familiar with the sexual sides and brain fog that reducing DHT can cause, inositol doesn't do any of that for me.

That's good to hear. So far it's the best shampoo I've used. Inositol should be here this week, any reason why your taking it every other day?

This! I think it's one hundred percent this. I remember my hair was growing and looked the best when my diet was on point and my exercise was as well. I was eating a lot of coconut oil and sweet potato, fiber, veggies, etc. Just old healthy stuff and that's when my hair was at its best and inflammation was at its lowest. It's was also during the summertime. Perhaps this has to do with candida?

Well it definitely looks like a case of "leaky gut" and fungal overgrowth (candida/malassezia).Then it makes sense why anti-fungals (ciclopirox, nizoral, selsun blue) provide temporary relief.
I would encourage everyone to try theGAPS diet for a couple of weeks and see what happens. I'm pretty sure you'll notice a positive change in your symptoms.

Ahhh man that sucks. So far no side effects at 1 500mg pill a day with food. You could try every other day and see if that's better. What brand are you using?

I'm using solgar 500mg same as traveller. Not really any effects good or bad yet hard to tell as I'm also taking inliven, taurine, d3, optizinc, eklonia cabs and pine pollen. Still shedding hair but then again I have for the last 6 years lol.

I've just ordered the solgar branded ones from Amazon.with more than one person saying it works I want to stick with it.
when you take zinc do you get dry lips??
ive tried zinc many times and always get dry lips after about a week.
Yeah same here about 6 years I'm not bald but very thin even on the sides

My lips do go dry alot but Vaseline does the trick. I'm really tempted to try saw palmetto or beta sitosterol but I'm pretty much guaranteed to get low libido from either one which sucks.
