Pantothenic acid toxicity depletes vitamin e which increases lipid peroxidation and causes hair loss. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1205553/?page=4
I find it weird no one here tried getting a vitamin e supplement and see if it resolves the hair loss....Get the dry version as its not oxidized...
TW12, Ill reply to your PM here.
good shout on the vitamin E, I will order some.
Yes I had a blood picture done.
Erythrocytes 5.1 (4.4-5.8)
Hemoglobin 14.8 (13-18)
I havent taken my iron regularly lately as I take so many supps already.
pjjordan: I use unrefined aloe vera gel. Bought it from amazon. Id shop at iherb or amazon. Get one with no additives.
For oils I use castor, coconut, olive and lavender. I rotate them around. No tea tree oil
U need to have a complete blood picture done, these r only 2 indices of the complete...u need the MCH, MCHC and MCV because these 2 in particular are useful in diagnosing blood disorders such as siderblastic anemia for example...Have them done they r very cheap and done very quickly by the lab...Im very confidernt u guys will be cured very soon...

MCH: 29.6 (27-33.5)
MCV 89 (80-99)
Hamatocrit 44.5 (40-56)
(Don't have values for MCHC)
These values have stayed the same for the last year.
Any more blood levels?
Zinc, magnesium, calcium, copper, Vitamin D were all fine.
How much iron should I take? Just found this: "The therapeutic dose for iron deficiency anemia is 36mg/kg/day"
That would be 210-420 mg...so about 10 to 15 tablets. Seems excessive.
My ferritin is one the lower end of the range
Also get the above and start taking one a day and see closely how things change and report improvement...

I'll pick this up on the weekend

That's a rat study. Not sure how relevant it is here?
I have used Vit E oil topically, as well as mixed tocopherols /vit e orally..
If the hair loss were caused by VIT E depletion, why would the hair loss be in MPB loss fashion for the most part? =[
Unfortunately they didn't have a "dry" version at my country's amazon so I ordered normal Vit E with 400IU. Also ordered some emu oil to try out. Got my hair cut yesterday and it looks okay. Ill grow it out again and see if biotin, cysteine, iron, zinc and vit e will resolve it. I do iodine together with magnesium, vit c and himalayan sea salt every other day.
Tw12, my B12 is slap bang top of the range. Dont have any B6 numbers but the BCAA supplement I take when I workout has a lot if it so I doubt I'd be low. My ferritin is only 30 right now so that definitely needs to improve. I take 75mg of iron bigliscynate together with 1000mcg of Vitamin C to boost absorption.
What stumps me too is how the loss resembles MPB. My back and sides are unaffected and thicker than ever. It's just the hairline. Maybe B5 has increased androgen sensitivity in the follicles through some mechanism.
Anyway, right now Im looking more to cure my sides from finasteride. I took that shit for 3 weeks and 6 months later I have zero libido and some other physical sides. I'd advise anyone not to take that stuff, it's rat poison.

Sorry you took Fin
Yes there is a chance of possible permanent sides with it, hopefully you recover soon!
There are new treatments coming out soon. I am in a group buy for Seti ( http://files.shareholder.com/downloads/AMDA-MFNLA/4023632629x0x817836/4E5AC47A-B9EE-4296-9D97-631C0F6B7C97/KYTH-105_setipiprant_.pdf)
Basically.. look at the research, but it has no sides and no need to use fin or dut.
Has anyone used RU58841 btw??
I ordered some out of desperation a few weeks back but not sure if I wanna try it due to possible side effects...
I have been taking Vitamin E 400-IU for a couple years but have used it for acne purposes. Haven't noticed any change in my hairloss. This is the one I use:
Yes I have tried RU twice now. Gave me terrible sides but tried again at a lower does because I was desperate. Noticed some hair regrowth but still shed hair. The sides were: Headaches, brain fog, ear ringing, body aches, etc. I had to stop because no matter what dose the sides were unbearable.
Tried minoxidil 15% w/ azelaic acid and didn't notice any regrowth and had bad headaches so I stopped.
Was on Propecia for about a year and then switched to Avodart for 2 years. No results. Not many sides though except for the first month or so I hadlow libido and my sperm was very liquidbut that went away.
@MikeLev Yeah, I hope so too. Im feeling better day by day but I need to be careful about my health.I think Minoxidil mixed with castor oil and dermarollingbefore applying that mixture would work very well for hair regrowth.
I'm holding off on the minox though because it can cause facial aging through collagen block if you absorb it systemically or you get some on your face and I already have some facial issues due to fin(bloated face, hollow eye sockets and saggy skin if anyone's curious). Wish I would have tried that before fin. Anyway, hindsight is 20/20
I would not put anything in your body unless it is well researched and you know the possible consequences...you don't want a repeat of the B5 fiasco I assume.

Wow, thanks for your reply man!
Where was the hair growth you got from RU?? was it at the hairline/temples? What % RU? how much did u apply per day? where did u buy it from? What vehicle did you use? KB or alcohol?
You didn't get any sexual sides on RU?
You're still on avodart??? dude.. avodart didn't help with the hairloss???? jesus, fucking, christ. - but RU did?????
Also, the sides from RU always go away fully when you stop? how long did it take for sides to go away?

Yes castor oil is very good for hair loss as it has an acid in it which increases PGE2. (very good)
I say no to using minoxidil. Here's why: As you mentioned, it reduces collagen, documented. It's not good for the heart and cardiovascular system, documented. Any hair growth you get from it, you will need to use minox for the rest of your life, OR you will shed that hair + more hair. Not worth it.
Seti has undergone more than a few trials already, sides are very very low.. I think the main side is headache... lol, no sexual sides or anything else, not bad.
For the RU vehicle I used KB at first and the sides were not as severe. Tolerable at first but got worse. I had regrowth on the hairline. It was hard to see if I had regrowth on the rest of my scalp but I'm sure I did.
The 2nd vehicle I tried was 70/30 Alcohol/Propylene Glycol. The sides were much more severe so I believe I was absorbing much more RU on this vehicle.I tried everything from a 5% RU solution to a practically zero and still got sides. Applied once a day. No sexual sides though and yes the sides completely went away from RU and propecia/avodart. Bought RU from the Kaneshop.
I haven't been on Avodart for 2 years.
Started the Selenium and Iodine 2 weeks ago. Have been having headaches, tiredness, and brainfog if I use too much. Have been decreasing the dose to make tolerable/not noticeable and have not been using everyday due to the sides. Since I am getting these side I am going to have tests done from my endocrinologist.
I also started using the Aloe Vera, apple cider vinegar, and washing my hair much lesswith shampoo. Have been using conditioner (which has essential oils) everyday and I have to say my hair and scalp look much, much better. The shedding has decreased (hopefully permanently if I keep this up) and I am not itchy all the time. Will continue this process and let you know if I have noticeable regrowth from the scalp treatment and iodine/selenium.
Yeah I agree on the minox, but if anyone is desperate it could help.
Is anyone getting bromide detox symptoms from the iodine?
I have actually. Started with 1.2mg a day and had to taper back because of this weird pressure sensation I was getting in my head. Not sure if it was bromide detox or something else but it was definitely related tothe iodine. Gonna keep going though to see if it's connected with the hair loss

Fatigue was a persistent issue for me and I believe a lot of other people here. I had consistent fatigue until I got on Ashwagandha for 2 months, then jumped on colostrum. Once I rotated off 2 weeks colostrum I returned to normal. Stimulants and certain supplements still cause fatigue (notably colostrum).
Can't speak for the brain fog and headaches, but 225mg iodine consistently makes me very tired. On the contrary, zinc reduces fatigue. Ashwagandha has a strong effect in reducing this fatigue as well.
Those pdg2 inhibitors look really good to be fair alot of people saying the ones from iron dragon stopped there hairloss in days and they been using it for months with no shedding at all but not much regrowth. The oral ones sound alot better tho. CET seems to be mentioned alot on the pdg2 forums saying it's awesome and will stop you hairloss in days. May be worth a shot but I don't really know what it is haha.

BTW I just took my 1st RU dose, on hairline.
I'm excited. Finally a proven treatment!!! Enough with the games.
I have SETI + PGE2 coming to me in a few months.

Hi pjjordan. How long after using RU did you start to have regrowth???
I am on day 3 of RU usage. (Kane premixed in KB 3%). I do notice a bit of headache that lingers for awhile... so far so good though.
I don't think it's completely far fetched to think that an epigenetic change caused our hair loss. Through an external influence(in our case a massive dose of B5) we have started gene expression of a formerly latent or inactive gene. This could explain why the hair loss so closely resembles MPB and why not everyone has gotten hair loss. Those that did not either don't have the gene or did not cause expression of that gene.
For those that do have the gene(or gene complex) it doesn't mean they would've definitely gotten MPB later in their life. It just means that the gene was there to possibly be expressed later on in life. I reckon a large percentage of men have the MPB gene as pretty much every one of them will have hair loss at some stage of their life. There is of course the exception where people pass away at 90 with a NW1 hairline and a full head of hair but that is rare.
Anyway, what would be interesting is if you could reverse that epigenetic change. In theory I think it should be possible
It took maybe 2 months on RU to see growth and seemed like a slow process. The growth wasn't noticeable to anyone except me because there were only small (but terminal) hairs popping up. The side effects I had and unknown side effects (who knows what this stuff is doing systematically to our bodies) are not worth it in my opinion.
I know you're desperate and I was too but you don't want to end up with cancer, etc. years down the road.
