acnefighter- yes u can eat whenever u want.. just follow that time regimen.. wait no less than 1 hour 30 min after eating before drinking. when i only waited 1 hour i did not see results. the results for me show at the 1 hour 30 min to 2 hour range.
i find it still works if i drink whaever i want.. but it works the BEST if i drink water.
kt- waiting an hour after eating is plenty.. i do this all of the time.. i think this time frame could even be lowered.. sounds like yall are doing awesome.. im so proud.. hehehe
Catching the tail end of this, but from what i'm reading this diet is fucking stupid if you ask me.
your body gives you the feeling it's thirsty for a reason(it needs liquids)
if you don't drink when your body is saying drink...then that's just a stupid thing to do.
I suppose next time your try not eating for 24hours at a time to help with your acne?.
It isn't that rediculous. However, what's rediculous is people not drinking when they're thirsty. Water's the single most important thing for total health. If you're thirsty drink damnit. Or else you could drink a crap load before or an hour after meals. You won't do your acne of body justice if you go for periods of the day thirsty over the long run.
Another thing that affects this is the type of drink. Some drinks like green tea help to digest so drink these with meals.
Update:
I tried this for about 2 weeks and noticed minimal differences. I was talking with my bio teacher the other day, and she said that water is necessary in food absorption. In fact, not drinking water with a meal actually dehydrates the body since water is difffused from the body INTO the intestine for digestion.
hey ineed.. thats a good question, and also one i dont know the answer to. not long ago someone said that chewing gum has some affect on digestive enzymes.. so i quit chewing gum altogether, an havnet had a stick since doing this.. so i dont know the answer.. but alot of people are doing this regimen, an im sure some of them chew gum.. so maybe some of you guys could answer this? honestly though my gut instict would be that it wouldnt have any effect.
I have the same concern as iWANNAbeCLEAR, also thanks for sharing this with us caroline.
I'll be trying it out in conjuction with other treatments.

iwannabeclear- you got it! but you dont have to be that strict about it. i eat at non exact times alot.. sometimes ill only wait 1 hour 30 min after i eat to drink again.. so dont be too strict on yourself.. but usually the closest time ill allow is 1 hour 30 min after i eat to drink again. but i will only make myself wait an hour if i just had water before i eat again, because water moves through your system pretty quickly, its the food that takes time to digest.
i would like to point out something ive noticed, ive done alot of testing with this method, and ive found what works best for me. Say i wake up at 8 am an eat soemthing, then of course drink water at 10. if i drink loads of water (like maybe 4 large glasses or so, sometimes a liter of water) i get awesome results. but say i only drink like one glass of water at the drinking interval, i get ok results but nothing near what i get if i stad an drink alot of water, one glass right after the other at the drinking interval. its like it just clears things right up if i drink loads of water at the same time period. i hope that isnt too confusing, hope this continues to work for everyone!
This is what my father always says. He's a Health freak. He's say that drink alot of water/juice right before or after you eat dilutes your digestive enzymes and the food dose not digest properly and you do not get all the nutrients and it can cause various health problems. I drink only one half or less a cup of 100% grape juice with my meals and then I drink 24oz of water between Breakfast and Lunch and 24oz between lunch and dinner. I also have a very healthy diet (now) and I am also completley clear for the last 6 months.
i really think there talking about massive ammounts of liquids. like the mcdonalds 44 oz. soda with a burger.
I think the burger is fine but drink a courtest cup of water with the meal, and maybe a cup of water an hour later.
It doesnt have to be TOO severe. I tried this for a week, three weeks ago, and I couldnt do it because of my lifestyle.
I run a lot and sweat.. so water is key.. also a protein bar is key after words too.
I think its all about controlling larges ammounts of liquids before or during the eating process. For example, you go to Applebee's, you drink 3 glasses of coke before the meal is there, and three during the meal... thats bad.
now if you drink half of it 10 minutes before the meal, and the rest during the meal, youll be fine. its all about control IMO.
