wapak, Im breaking out in whiteheads in my problem areas - chin and cheeks and the jawline. Similar to your problem areas.
It's not overly cold here. We are in Autumn at the moment and the weather is sunny but not hot. I would say the level of oiliness on my face is pretty much the same as when I was using water only. It's not really that oily at all.
Day...Five? Yes. Five.
I forgot xD
Well, here's where the skin gets a little gross.
My acne is definitely down , which is great, and I know this is working. Yesterday and today are just not exactly "beautiful" days.
But I'm taking it as a good sign.
My skin isn't as smooth as it was on days two and three because of the thickening dead skin mask. It feels more like sandpaper DX Its gotten a little better through the day as I've been moving about and sweating, though.
Many of my pimples are more inflamed than they have been on those days too, but that's because most of them are just coming to a head, then going away.
I squeezed a few yesterday bad life choice.
I've also been doing some picking, so I'm going to keep my hands OFF my face from now on, because it obviously is not helping.
My face still doesn't look oily, although it feels that way. The dead skin mask keeps everything looking matte, and the EVOO keeps the dead skin mask from appearing too flaky. Although, it definitely is there.
I have a little theory about why some people get stinging in their eyes from their oil. I think it may be that, because the skin has lost it's pH balance, perhaps it produces sebum with a more acidic pH to bring it back to that optimum level. Actually, everyone probably already knows this, but I wanted to say that anyway.
So that's how everything is going so far.
I don't necessarily avoid anything though I'm a bit picky with what I eat so that may contribute to mine. I drink coffee once or twice a month cause I'm really not that into coffee.
i think i am this regime 3.5 weeks. I don't know today i am losing faith a bit cuz i got a little bit of a break out going (i think stress from school 3 essays in 2 days). But i do have thicker dead skin mask now and it doesn't look to good. My friend even made a comment today it looks like there is is some dirt in the corner of ur eye. (place where my dead skin mask is cracked a bit so its more obvious). Good thing is my school year is done so i don't have to go to school anymore. But still.
I am thinking starting exercising and doing cold showers routine. I don't know or should i just simply weight another 2 weeks, i am losing my patience a little bit. but fuck i did this for what 27 days now or something i cant stop now. Right? Arghhhhhhhh. Fuck i think i am going to exercise and than take a cold shower
At your 4th week, wash your face with water. Then scrape all the dead skin off. Then do nothing again. Tell us here how your face reacted on it.
Technically actually day 6. Even though day five was two days ago...
I think my calculations were off xD
So far, everything is going great. My face looks a little gross, but that's just because of the flakes and blotchiness. The flakes seem to be coming off pretty easily, and I have very few active pimples, and almost all of those are in the healing stages.
Hyperpigmentation and red spots are fading, which is super cool.
Places I had clogged pores (blackheads) now just have white, dried up things sticking out of the pores...
Anyway, this is going pretty great. I'm a big fan of EVOO now. Besides the skin benefits, my lips and hands are very soft. I've been using it in my hair before bed as well, and it looks very shiny and healthy. My eyelashes look healthy and shiny as well.
I'm going to try washing my hair over the sink instead of in the shower now, because I think if I stop letting soap touch my back, my bacne will start to fade as well. I actually don't use soap anywhere on my body anymore anyway except shampoo on my scalp and on my hands. I just let water wash away sweat/dirt.
6 days past me too, Cello. I don't use olive oil, I just let it be.
There's no dead skin mask yet, or not that I can see. My cheeks are looking good, the rest is not very greasy, all the inflamations are cooling down... No new break-outs.
I'm really tempted to wash my face though because I still use concealer daily, and have never washed it off in the past 6 days. This sounds awful, but I'd rather be crusty than spotty. 😳 Still it didn't affect me anyhow because everything's looking good so far.
Obviously no milk/dairy plays a part too.
This works.
9 days for me now. Face still an absolute mess. Whiteheads all over the place and dead skin. However I have faith and am sticking with it. Trying my hardest to last 30 days on this, without letting water touch my face.
Anyone else think they can last 30 days without washing?
Fingers crossed skin irritation is the cause of my acne, as I feel this is really my last hope.
man, maybe i am complaining a bit too much but its been tough my 30 day or something like that. I dont know how long can i last. Its kind of weird but i sense that even ppl started to looking at me differently. I dont know if its true i think the look i have is like some who didnt wash his face for long time.

lirika69 have you noticed any improvement at all after 30 days??
Can you explain your journey so far. Are you getting dead skin? Still breaking out??
I'm about 10 days in and still breaking out. I wasn't expecting this as I was previously only using water, so expected that it wouldn't be so bad transitioning.
I dont' mind a little bit of dead skin, but the constant breakouts is really pissing me off.
Day 9ish.
Everything is still going great. I've been doing more watching of my diet. Not obsessively, but just eating healthier, which is good. I'm feeling very confident, and my skin is doing great. I did a little exfoliating with a washcloth&water, which i know you're not supposed to do. Everything was a bit inflamed the first day, but that went down and many of my flakes are also gone. It didn't seem to harm the healing process as much as I thought it would.
Anyway, I'm still loving the olive oil. If anyone's losing faith and wants to heal faster, you might consider it. I love it. my skin texture is definitely improving.
For any girls: I've started wearing makeup again (a must for school, etc, especially with prom fast approaching ) In the morning I splash my face with cold water, pat dry, and apply a tiny amount of olive oil to my skin for a little extra moisture. Then, I use Femme Couture mineral makeup, which is amazing. It doesn't irritate my skin at all. Try it ^^
[fyi, I did the exfoliation for the sake of wearing makeup. Without it, my face looked diseased with the makeup xD I also would not reccomend exfoliating to anyone dong the just nothing regimen because your skin has only itself to replenish itself, and you will only damage it]
So, that's how it's going for me. Very excited^^
Goals? Well, I'd like my skin to keep clearing like it is so it can look great for prom ^^
Ultimately, I'd like to have at least mostly clear skin before I go to Germany this June. Of course, I'll not stress about this or push myself too hard, but at the rate I'd going, it does seem like a very probable thing.
ANOTHER NOTE: A lot of you seem to be really stressing about your skin. Try not to! Just live your live and have fun. One of the best parts about this is not having to worry about it. I know about the breakouts and all, but just try to take it easy!
day 30 i think i start too see some improvements again. My breakout start to heal so complexion improved again. Still layer of dead skin but it seemed to settle a bit. Overall it looks better. Oh yeah i did start exercising and i did not wash sweat from my face and initially it didn't look good but the next day it settle and look ok. I will go on through this as much as i can. I have a feeling that i might need another month but who knows.
umm i think when i had that break the whole complexion of skin worsened (the dead skin build up looked worse), so i think the lessening of dead skin build up (Or the look of it) with depend on stress and maybe food (consumed out of balance). TO me it was stress i think that caused my break out. BUT also in my case initially build up was insignificant but than it did intensify. Also it does not look to bad if ur not under a lot of stress and u r eating ok. + exercising.
yea my dead skin did get a lil darker and i have really pale Irish skin. It prob wont get any darker. For me it kinda looked like i was kinda tan. I highly recommend you absolutely do not touch the dead skin for at least 20 to 30 days. You have to let your skin heal underneath it. It will look bad near the end of the 30 days but when its looking its worst dab a lil bit of moisturizer on the worst spots and don't rub it in just let it soak in. It worked a little for me
When its time to remove the mask use a wash cloth , finger nail , or like me i used the trimmer part of my electric razor with my skin being dry and it worked amazing.
