Pros:

My acne scars became less red, and lighted a few scars.

Cons:

healed half my scars, and worsened existing acne.

My existing acne became worse and created acne that wasn't there before. Smells horrible and after awhile the smell goes away. works only for the first couple of weeks but little results.

Truly amazing acne scars treatment peel
I am so excited to share my experience using this product.   I tried it for a month on my forehead and temples only. I didn't expect it to work after just one month therefore I wasn't disappointed when I saw that it made only slight difference to my acne scars. I continued with my regular skin care regimen and had no immediate plans to repurchase this product. But then two weeks later I started noticing   that my forehead looked very smooth and   the scars on my temples were barely there. The first time I noticed this, I was at the nearby shopping mall.   I was washing my hands in the bathroom and was looking at my face in the mirror, wondering if I should reapply my lipstick. The light was really bad, the kind of light you get in elevators, the kind of light that shows all your acne scars in high definition. Basically, I was looking at my face under indirect angle lighting which revealed everything! My whole face was covered in acne scars, but the scars on my temples were barely there. I blinked a few times in disbelief. After that "incident" I made a point of looking at my face under different lights and during different times of the day. I just couldn't believe that my acne scars on the temples were hardly visible. So why didn't I see this before? Here is what I think happened. When I used the peel, I carefully applied it in front of the mirror at home. I was looking at my face day in and day out. Because of that, I couldn't see the difference this product was making to my acne scars. After I finished the product and resumed my regular skin care which I don't usually apply in front of a mirror, I was then able to notice the difference this product has made. But the biggest factor perhaps is seeing the acne scars under indirect angled light. In short, I am amazed by this product. I have never before used a product that made such a significant difference to my acne scars in just one month. The scars on my temples are not just softer, they are barely there. My face is covered in acne scars of different types. But most of the scars are so called rolling scars. Now   I feel more optimistic and expect that with continuous use, this product will significantly reduce my acne scaring. This is more exciting for me than I can put into words...I would be happy to write updates on my progress.

NO NO NO!
If I were you, I would avoid this product. It broke me out in cystic acne right along my cheekbones, and made my PIH and red marks extremely more red. My mom said it looked like my face was on fire with this product on. On the bright side, it did soften my skin and it kinda smelled good lmao..

give it time. it works

Pros:

Fades marks and scars from acne
Doesn't make you break out
Makes skin feel smooth

Cons:

Small bottle (lasts a month)
Doesn't necessarily prevent acne
No sudden results (obviously, everything takes time and patience)

I have tried multiple products to clear my acne scars/marks. I was skeptical about this product but I decided to give it a try. I have been using it for over a month and I love it. it doesn't make me break out and it's actually fading my red marks and scars! it took me a month to see results so don't give up on this. And I especially love how it made my damaged skin from acne feel smooth and repaired.

Pros:

great smell
keeps face moisturized

Cons:

too much money
barely worked
kept my face greasy

bottom line is that it barely faded any of my scars and the one that it did fade it took like 6 months to...too long.

Pros:

-Works really good with redness of acne scars
- for dry skin it works good
-makes your skin feel soft

Cons:

-would not recommend using on oily skin because it can cause breakouts

I have sensitive skin, with inflamed acne. I had these small red marks on my skin and after using if for a few days there is already a difference when you put the cream on. defiantly give this a try.

Pros:

Just slightly softens raises scars

Cons:

It does not have any effect whatsoever on both raised or depressed (acne) scars

I ordered this product from the Revitol company which claimed to be the only scar cream to reduce the appearance of acne/depressed scars, but after using it religiously for 3 weeks now still no imrovement, but noticed it has slightly softened my raised scar. Im planning to return the unused bottles. Does not work...it is all scam

Pros:

I really like this product. It is a clear gel like most other scar gels but I like that it doesn't seem to dry and look flakey on my face.

I do think it works (thank you so much!!) it just takes a little while and you have to have your acne under control in order first.

Cons:

It is easy to accidentally get too much, and the price (but well the worth the price).

Great product. Less problematic and better working than other scar gels I've tried, and cheaper than bigger name brands.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
