Pros:

I use the M2 Skin Refinish 20% after my weekly Personal Microdermabrasion treatment. I use this sometimes every night or every other night depending on how my skin is feeling. It has reduced my red marks and turned them pink and brown. I am on my 5th treatment and I'm hoping that I'll have near perfect skin in the next 2 months.

Cons:

Sticky
Stings

Although the consistency of this aha is very sticky and stings, I would recommend it above all. It's doing me some good. I use this with my PMD kit and continue to apply Differin every morning. It wouldn't hurt to try. It's an AHA and has great benefits for the skin. I'm 23 years old and don't have to worry about wrinkles just yet but I'm sure if I continue using this every other night for the rest of my life, I won't have to worry about wrinkles in the future either.

Pros:

Beautiful skin after about 2 weeks

Cons:

Bit expensive for such a small jar

Cystic pimples are super stubborn when they do appear, they can stay on my face (mainly cheeks) for up to 2 weeks. After about 2 weeks of using Elicina the pimples started getting smaller, weren't as red and didn't hurt as much. It didn't get rid of my acne entirely - I didn't continue to use it after I had finished the jar as it was a bit dear for me - but it leaves the skin beautiful. It's great, I have recommended it to friends because I am that confident in this product =)

Pros:

Makes your skin smooth, brighter, less acne and fine lines. Very affordable considering how long 1 bottle can last plus you don't have to pay that $20 or $40 co-pay for a dermatologist.

Cons:

Doesn't smell that great, and a little sticky, but worth it for the results that you get

I developed acne at 22, finally, 2 years later I have found something that takes care of acne, sun damage and even fine lines around my eyes and mouth. I was starting to get small scars and those have all but dissappeared. My derm put me on Ziana gel about 3 months ago for and it never really did much to control my break-outs. I still use the Ziana gel at night and use the MaMa lotion every morning before I apply my make-up. The first week was like night and day in the difference in my skin. I love this stuff!!

Pros:

It works and I love the new M2 Skin Care Version the Skin Refinish

Cons:

it is a bit sticky and doesn't have a fragrance and I like that but my wife thinks it is a bit smelly

If you want to try it Most people seem to have good results and I think it is normal for a few to not like it but the vast majority seem to have good results. I have a sister where sulfer based crap is the only stuff that works for her but I love Love LOVE this stuff

Pros:

It works after about 2-3 months but thats only on face, I havent tried it on the body yet.

Cons:

It's expensive!

$20.00 for this is so expensive but other than that it works after a couple months and it's pretty good. But I had a posion ivy scar and it didnt work on it yet so idk I might have to keep trying on it. But for acne yeah it works and it doesent make you break out and you can use it as a moisturizer and it wont break you out.

Pros:

Makes your skin really soft and visible reduces scars even acne scars. That's what I've been using it for seemed to get rid of the bumps I already had! and is slowly lightening my shallow scars!

Cons:

kinda oily I put the smallest layer under my foundation if you put too much your makeup is going to look awful by the end of the day! haha so bring your makeup pouch I suppose if you're trying it out and don't know how much is enough!

It does slowly fade scars! I've only been using 3 weeks though so it says minimum of 3 months! So I only will have to see by then! I'd say don't use it if you'd like to get rid of acne because it kind of created tiny itty bitty bumps on my forehead? Kinda annoying but its nice and I was only using biooil but now I'm using other stuff so little bumps will be gone soon! BUT BUY! Does get rid of scarring very well

Pros:

Fades light acne scarring away.
Cool bottle.

Cons:

Just slightly fades the scars away, doesn't exactly get rid of them.

I've been using this product for about 3 months now. I have definitely noticed an improvement in my acne scars. I use it about every other night. Easy to apply, smell is not bad, and helps fades scars away.

Pros:

More radiant and softer skin. Not greasy, absorbs into the skin. As soon as I began using the product, I could tell a difference in the color of my scars on my legs from the chicken pox when I was younger.

Cons:

None

For the price it's a really great product. As far as scars, it works perfectly. DO NOT use on acne unless you only have scars from it, it may make it worse. I love this product, I prefer this over palmer's cocoa butter! My legs are looking awesome now, and I feel more confident with wearing shorts because my scars are fading.

Pros:

After shaving my face I apply alittle and my skin is sooo smooth and soft and helps alot with razor burns. I also think its working for my receding hair line :)

Cons:

none yet

Its all natural so your not adding chemicals and other man made stuff to your skin which i think leads to cancer. There is a reason why people have been using it for thousands of years

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
