Pros:

smells good, cheaper than lasers, helps with stretch marks

Cons:

did not help with acne scars (indents)

I put this on my check after my laser and it did not help a thing!! I also been putting it on a scar on my arm which slightly faded.. I am going for my second bottle.. It does work, but you have to use bottles of it for it to be effective.. One bottle isnt going to help much..

Pros:

Clears up acne, makes the skin smooth and healthy looking, evens out the skin tone

Cons:

thought it was expensive, but not nearly as expensive as a lot of things on the market. And it works!

It has truly worked wonders for me. It's amazing product. After a month I noticed i was getting less oily and i had some dark spots that vanished and blackheads started coming out by there own which was weird. It's perfect.

Pros:

It works on Back and chest acne really well! I love it!!

Cons:

It really itches when you don't rub it in well, it peels, and the fact that you have to put it on 3-4 times daily.

I have acne on my Face, Chest, and Back and recently I stopped getting acne on my chest and back but im left with scars and I really needed something to take it away before the summertime comes, so far its working really well!

Product used: MaMa (Lotion)

Pros:

Easy to apply. Fairly fast at seeing results

Cons:

Seems pricey at first glance. But when you realise that one bottle will last you 4 months or more, the costs then seem much more reasonable.

Being in the UK I only had one choice of outlet to buy MaMa from.

Been reading rave reviews about 'MaMa' so decided to take the plunge & give it a go. I have now been using it every day for a full month & am pleased with the Results. Even though I have sensitive skin I suffered no skin peeling using MaMa. The reason might be that I had been using Retin-A a while back which did cause a LOT of peeling. So maybe my skin had built up a bit of tolerance! I started to see results after about a week. My skin tone began to improve & I got less in the way of breakouts occurring. I think you really have to give this product about 3 or 4 months to probably see the full effects that MaMa could do for your skin. I am hopeful that the results I have had so far will continue to improve the quality of my skin. I always moisturise about 30 mins after applying MaMa using 'Simple' brand moisturiser

Product used: MaMa (Lotion)

Pros:

This stuff is amazing! i've had acne and previous scarring from the chicken pox, and was left with holes and dreadful marks. I'm asian so im super prone to hyperpigmentation. since using mama lotion, i am acne free and scar free!

Cons:

slight peeling

This product is the best, and its the first product that is "asian skin freindly". All my acne and chicken pox scars have disappeared and i have an even skin tone. I recommend this to everyone, you wont go wrong with it!!!

Pros:

O my god it works! Its been 3 weeks and my acne scars are near diminished!

Cons:

Just a hair too expensive but who cares.

Great Product! Not quite as good as laser treatments, but saving all that money is good.

Pros:

Got rid of my facial acne. Got rid of my hidrdenitis too and other such boils, pimples, etc. Works wonderful on kerotosis pilarius too.

Cons:

Expensive, but cheaper than doctor's appointments; other acne treatments; antibiotics.

Be patient with this product!

Don't buy the many "knock offs" of this product because they are a waste of money and don't work. Be sure you buy from an authorized elicina dealer - check their website. This product is so worth the money. As I get older, it helps considerabley with wrinkles and age spots too! Be sure to follow the directions of use on their website. And be patient! New skin doesn't regenerate over night.

Pros:

Some scars definately faded within a week or two.

Cons:

Stopped doing anything after about 3 weeks. Only got rid of very light scars.

If you have alot of really bad scaring or "ice pick marks" then you may want to spring for something stronger like professional peel treatments. Works well if you only have little marks you want to get rid of.

Product used: MaMa (Lotion)

Pros:

Dont sting so bad

Cons:

Sticky

Just tried it. First day. It's sticky, I thought it would absorb into skin. My scars seem darker. I'm praying that will stop REAL quickly. I'm real impatiend, but I'm taking all precautions and will follow directions to the T. I'll report back regularly.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
