Product used: KAVI (Coral KAVI)

Pros:

The best oil absorbing solution available anywhere at any price.

Cons:

None really.

No more oil absorbing sheets, no more shine two hours after a shower, no more oil in my eyes by midnight. I really can't believe a soap can reduce oil production do much, but it does. Amazing product and it lasts a full month per bar (one shower per day and one facial wash per day).

Pros:

Cleared up acne
Skin looks glowing
Less oily skin

Cons:

Irratated sensitive areas of my skin like my neck and jaw

I have tried so many products the last being a 3 month course on roaccutane and nothing has worked as well as this. My acne cleared up within days, and even around my monthly when my skin usually flares up my skin was completely clear. I have severely oily skin and now this has reduced so that I only have to blot my skin once a day instead of every hour. I have also noticed my scars are fading too which I was very concious of. Definitely reccomend if you have severely oily skin with moderate acne.

Pros:

Shrinks pimples

Cons:

Takes a LONG time

I have been using this spot treatment on some pimples for the past 4 days and they are still not gone, however they are reduced by like 50%. Annoying thing this is that these pimples aren't even that huge. I guess my skin is just really stubborn?

Cons:

Never had totally clear skin

I have been using for over a year. Worked good at first. Now the acne and the dark spots have returned even though I am still using the products and taking the murad supplements. I am cancelling auto shipments.

Pros:

It really did start to clear my skin. At first it was great. It did seem to lesson a little, maybe, but it still worked. I did start to try to use it less because my jewelery tarnished when I used it. It was also nice that it didn't make my towels change colors and isn't overly drying.

Cons:

It did leave an odd smell because of the sulfer. As the day went on and I got hot or just randomly I would smell it. It started to get really annoying. It also tarnished my silver jewelery. I never had jewelery tarnish before I used it. That was really annoying. I would clean the piece ware it and that night it'd be black. I stopped using it and my jewelery doesn't tarnish.

It seems like a good product if you can stand the smell and the jewelery tarnishing. Customer service was a little odd. I had a financial issue and asked if they could put my account on hold until I could see how it was going to work out and they just canceled it. I do admit it is one of the best that i've used so far. I love that it's organic too. So I would get a couple tubes if you can before you got to their little plan and see how the first couple tubes work.

Pros:

Got read of my mild acne, Lightened my acne scars and made my skin smoother and softer.

Cons:

So expensive.

I needed an acne treatment to clear up my breakouts that I would get once or twice a month ( only about 3 or so pimples) so I decided to give this a try because the sales woman at the store swore by it. She said her kids use it and they have really bad acne, and if i didn't like it I could return it and get my money back. So I said hey why not, since day one of using this product I saw an improvement in my skin tone, and even since then I have not gotten any pimples or blackheads. I love this product, everyone skin is different and what what works for one person may not work for someone else. I would and have recommended this product to my friends. I only gave 4 stars because of the price being so expensive. I love it!!!

Product used: KAVI (Aqua KAVI)

Pros:

effective against acne, bar last very long, rinses clean

Cons:

a little drying (for me), have to order on line

This is a good cleanser. My face feels very clean and it seems to keep my face pretty clear. The only thing is that it is kinda drying for me. I was using Coral Kavi at first, and it worked but was too strong, so I stepped down to this and I feel like it may be a bit too strong for me as well, my skin is very sensitive. I too am considering the dermawash by Kavi as it seems to be very gentle.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
