Product used: Proactiv Solution (Refining Mask)
Cons:
VERY drying
Does not fully prevent pimples, but they apear much smaller, and not as offten.
It's really the only product that works for me, though even this stuff does not compleatly help. 2-3 times a week does not work for me, every other day didn't even work that well. I have to use it everyday. Though I've had the same amount of dryness from the 2 times a week as I have from the everyday. Though I've not making the product sound that great, I still gave it a 4/5, as it's the best thing I've used so far, and I can't be without it. Also, people on here complain about the smell, I never thought it was so bad. Kind of nice really. By the way, get it off ebay or Amazon, you can get it MUCH cheaper, and you don't have to deal with the HORRIBLE Proactiv website. Seriously, stay away from there.

I use this lightly over my T-Zone and target pimples. I used to break out on my jaw line quite a bit but using this every other night with a moisturizer really evened out my skin tone and cleared it up. * If you have oily skin I HIGHLY SUGGEST USING A TOWEL on your pillow every night. Fold it and flip it making it good for a couple nights. It really helps keeping the oil off my face at night and stops me from sleeping in the bacteria I would have left from the night before.

Pros:
I do think it helps some. I used it as a spot treatment in a pinch.
Cons:
I think it can be very drying, I have combination skin and it would make some parts of my face feel tight.
I think it is a good part of the proactiv line and if you follow the rest of the regime this can be an important part of it. Especially for the occassional pimple.

Pros:
Skin feels healthy and smooth.. facial cleaners is good and face mask is ok.
Cons:
Leave skin oily. Don't really like the gel.
I still breakout but not as much. I don't have real bad acne but if you do.. I don't recommend it. It works pretty good for my mom.. that's why I tried it but everyones skin is different. It did help tho.

Pros:
Only product that has worked for me in 10 years of fighting cystic acne.
Cons:
None that I've noticed.
I used to have super oily skin and after accutane it subsided along with the acne, but a couple of years later, the acne came back with a vengeance. My skin doesn't get as oily anymore, but ever since finding Coral Kavi, the acne is slowly but surely losing the battle. I still get breakouts and I'm actively working to find a way to stop those from occuring as well. Acne.org and Kavi forums have a great list of recommendations I've been working through. If you haven't found a solution yet, try this product. I'm currently using it with the salicylic acid peel. One more note, I told my derm's office about Kavi and relieved them of their services in the same phone call. If they don't know what works but are happy to keep taking my money, they can find someone else to bilk.

-It had a strange smell
- the purging effect just kept getting worse and worse
- left my skin looking more oily then ever
- I had acne where I didn't have before, it spread all over my face. when it only use to be around my nose.
- made my skin very sensitive and it hurt.
Its not worth the money.

I've been an acne sufferer for over 20 years now. Murad was the first product that actually worked for me when used in combinations of other product lines. The key to fighting acne is finding what works in COMBINATION with your skin. I love the Murad cleanser...but can't use any of the product because it causes me to breakout. I use just good old Clearasil ULTRA for spot treatment and the Arbonne's thermal facial scrub once a week. This combination is what works for me to keep my skin glowing and clear. There is no such product that will leave you acne free. it's in the genes. But, finding a good product like Murad's cleanser used with other products is what keeps my flares down to a zit or two a month. For me, that's winning the battle.

Product used: Principal Secret (Blemish Buster Solution)
Pros:
Fast-acting.
Prevents/ takes care of larger pimples
Cons:
If you have sores/cuts/raw-areas on your face and you apply this, it will BURN.
The sulfur in this product irritates eyes and nose.
Does not seem to have an effect on black-heads.
May lose effectiveness over time.
Costly.
About two years ago, this product was my best-friend against my persistent acne - however, it now seems to be less-effective than it used to be (my skin has probably gotten too used to it.)
It smells, it burns, it flakes, it's not easy to hide (it does, after all, leave a white spot on your face) and it is quite expensive. As much as I am used to this product and as much as it has helped me, the money that I've invested into it (over $100 by now) has not shown much fruit. This product CONTROLS acne, but does not CURE it.
Also, this product, in its 15 milliliters of glory, really can't be used to cover your whole face or it will dry your skin to the point of cracking.
All-in-all, I'd say that rubbing aloe straight from the plant on your face has the same effect as this product, without the smell and cost.
I'd recommend this if you need to get rid of a couple of enlarger pores quickly, but not for much else.

Pros:
Works well to dry out the over abundant oils in your "T" Zone! The refining mask zaps the acne immediately.
Cons:
Refining mask Smells but thats a small price for beautiful skin. Lotion bleaches the towels but that b/c it has BENZOYL PEROXIDE...DUH..use white towels....simple solution!
