Non-ablative Non-fractional Lasers

Compare To Other Treatments

Immediately after treatment:

  • The recovery time after non-ablative laser treatment is minimal. Some redness and swelling may develop and last 1-3 days after treatment, but most patients are able to return to work or school immediately.
  • Your doctor may recommend that you apply a cold compress to the skin to ease pain and discomfort after treatment. Wound dressings are not necessary.

Days and weeks after treatment:

  • Your skin should return to normal in 1-3 days after treatment.

Longer term:

  • There is usually no long-term recovery process after treatment with a non-ablative laser.
  • It is important to use sunscreen whenever the skin is exposed to the sun until the skin is completely healed, meaning that no pink, newly formed skin is visible anymore.
