Pros:

- Clears acne almost immediately!!!
- Makes your skin feel soft and smooth
- Fades acne scars

Cons:

Nothing so far.......

I honestly consider Epiduo a miracle drug. I have been using it only for a week, and my acne is almost completely cleared. I was a little skeptical at first about this product, but after numerous research I decided to give it a try. And it was the best decision that i've made. I've used proactiv for 5 months and were not completely satisfied with the results. It cleared my skin a little, but it was never 100%. Epiduo has been the best thing that has happened to me. Being a perfectionist, I couldn't have acne. My look is a huge part of who I am, and with acne it messed with my confidence. But Epiduo has brought it back. I would advise anyone to give this product a try. If it worked for me, i'm positive it will work for you. Only con I have about this product is that it can be a little expensive. The retail price was $241, but with my insurance and a card my doctor gave me, I only paid $35 just like it was advertised. Goodluck to all!!!!

Pros:

-Clears pretty much all acne
-No smell/odor
-Actually even gets rid of a few scars

Cons:

None.

Before using Epiduo I used Differin. It worked for like a month and stopped working. So I asked my mom to make an appointment with my dermatologist. She said I didn't have the worst case of acne around, but I felt like a pepperoni pizza face :| so she prescribed me Epiduo and Clindamycin Phosphate. I didn't think it'd work, but after one day, I saw huuuge results! It got rid of about 35% of my acne already! And after a month I got rid of a bunch of scars. I totally recommend this. If it doesn't work for you, I suggest you ask for a different medication. Don't choose Proactiv. It's just soap in a fancy bottle that's expensive. PS: Ive had this for about 2 months and I just need to get rid of a few more pimples; remember, I had a lot. USE FACIAL SUNSCREEN DAILY.

Pros:

- works quickly
- easy to use
- affordable

Cons:

- can be drying

I used to use ProActiv but it stopped working. I went to my dermatologist and he gave me a prescription of Epiduo. I LOVE THIS!!! He told me that I might see some drying in the beginning but that means its working. I did get some drying at first, but not anymore-- I guess my face got used to it. And he was definitely right about it working because I started to see a huge change within the first 3 weeks. I wash my face with a gentle cleanser (my derm told me to try cetaphil), let it my face dry (to avoid burning), apply a small amount of epiduo, then finish off with a moisturizer... all right before bed. I hope this helps because it made me feel better about my face. Also! make sure you get the coupon from [link removed]-- so worth it.

Pros:

Clears Acne

Cons:

stings

I've tried EVERYTHING to clear my acne. I had taken antibiotics for a month and endured stomach problems (and the acne still didn't go away). This stuff actually works! Right away my acne cleared up. The stinging of the gel (for the first 15 minutes or so) is definitely worth having clear skin for a change! Especially since I'm 43 and really shouldn't have acne!!!

-It's a product made with two products that are considered the best in the treatment of acne.
-Your acne really go away.
-Skin without spots.

Cons:

-Skin a little bit dry.
-You can't go out without sun block, because you can have burns.

My skin was terrible. I didn't know what to do. So, I decided to go to my dermatologist and see what I can do to improve my skin. When I buy this product and I started to use, I can saw clearly an improvement in my skin. I bought make products without oil too, because we have to use products to our tipe of skin, and skin with acne problems usually are oily. I really recommend this. My skin know is pretty good and I improve my self steem again.

Pros:

Got rid of almost all pimples
Got rid of red acne marks

Cons:

Made skin pretty dry
Pretty expensive (There is a coupon online...use it!!)

This product has saved my life. Before this product my skin was breaking out like crazy, I had bumps on my skin and pimples on my face and tons of old acne scars. I started using this product every night and noticed results immediately. My skin got pretty dry, so you MUST have a good moisturizer, a gentle cleanser, and a face exfoliator. (I use oil of olay sensitive skin moisturizer, cetaphil or oil of olay cleanser, and Dr. Denese Microdemabrasion scrub) I have tried everything from plain old benzoyl soap, spot treatments, zeno, clydimiacin in pill and topical form and NONE have worked the way this has. It has been a miracle for me..I realized it is pretty pricey for such a small tube but think how much you will save on other acne products..just get one that works! I never write reviews on sites, but this product has astonished me to the point that I have to write one. Your skin will get pretty dry with this product so sometimes what I will do is use it at night for two nights in a row and apply moisturizer in the morning, and then on the third night do not apply the epiduo and put aloe vera gel on my face (I use banana boat...even though it has a fragrance and alcohol in it it works better for me than the pure one)..Hope I have helped any of you thinking of trying it!

Pros:

helps with post acne marks
helps get rid of all the dirt built up in pores
doesn't bleach clothes, sheets, etc

Cons:

makes skin really sensative to sun
makes you breakout like crazy in the beginning
slow moving process...

so when going to the dermatologist she told me it would be a slow moving process, that it will take time to see results. i didn't really believe her, but shes definitely right! it makes you break out like crazy a few weeks into it and skin is a little red. i had a horrible month where i had huge pimples and i was constantly breaking out. that was really discouraging, but the doctor said thats normal. the medicine is designed to get all the dirt thats built up and surface it.... basically you break out until you can't anymore. i started my treatment in february, and by april my pimples were much smaller, less red, and fewer with every breakout. as time went on it got less and less. and now i hardly have a pimple. every now and then i'll have a small one, but definitely worth it in the end! i have a few post acne marks now, but the cream also helps fade the hyper pigmentation. figured i'd share my experience with it because i know how frustrating it can be, but seriously stick with it. the ending result is so worth it :-)

Pros:

The best thing about Epiduo is its a gel. This makes it really EASY to APPLY and ABSORB thus it works well on the skin. Epiduo just works. It's a new product and thus represents the best research (which accounts for the effectiveness of the benzoyl peroxide/adapalene combination).
Lastly, it has the perfect amount of active ingredients- 2.5% bp, .01% adapalene, so it dosen't irritate and actually heals acne. Not only does it cure future acne, the current stuff looks better too.

Cons:

When you begin Epiduo, start slow and use moisturixer. The benzoyl peroxide may otherwise dry or irritate, but this is only because Epiduo absorbs well and works.

I have used a lot of stuff, but non have been more effective or easy than Epiduo.

Pros:

Very effective, convient, apply to face once a day. It works and is easy to use, what else is there?

Cons:

The first 2 weeks I experienced EXTREME stinging. Some nights I had to apply ice to some parts of my face because it was almost unbearable and made it impossible to fall asleep. That's really my only complaint.

The best and move effective acne product I've ever used, so far has done the best job out of anything I've used to clear up my acne. But you have to STICK TO YOUR REGIMEN. I almost lost hope too quickly and I've only been using it for about a month or so. I realized I have never really given any product any longer than 6 weeks to work when the product itself said that it would take at least 12 to work. I've been using this product for about 2 months now. If you stick to this product, It'll work. My acne began moderately severe. I would say it's down to light.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
