Pros:

Clears up spots
Helped heal a small cyst within a couple days
Doesn't burn or make me peel

Cons:

It makes me flake a little- which I don't really mind much

I got a bag of samples from my dermatologist. So far its working great. I just rub it in to my areas with acne at night and then the pimples slowly fade within the next couple days. I use a really good moisturizer recommended by my dermatologist that prevents the dryness of Epiduo. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream...it's great.

Pros:

This product works great. I was starting to think there was no way to clear my skin but the my doctor suggested this topical cream. It starts to work within a week and by 2 weeks my skin was completely clear with just a couple acne scars left.

Cons:

There is no downside to this topical acne treatment except that it makes your face incredibly dry, which can be treating with a tiny bit of moisturizer. Also the price of the cream is really expensive

I would recommend this product to anyone. After years of suffering acne I finally found a product that has cleared up my skin. Even though the price is quite high here in Canada it is defiantly worth the results.

Pros:

Gets rid of spots
You can feel it working

Cons:

Skin Peeling
Slight Burning

Basically, I've been struggling with light acne since I was about 15. I'm 19 now and for the first time in those 4 years, my doctor prescribed Epiduo for me. I read a lot of reviews and was apprehensive about using it. I used it initially and it was burning my skin, so I stopped. However, I restarted using it and my skin cleared up within a week. Not entirely cleared, but only a few minor, tiny spots remained. It made my skin feel a lot more smooth. It burns a little when you put it on, but you can feel it working on your skin and that's a real plus for me.

Pros:

Gets rid of acne!
Use one time a day, huge time saver

Cons:

Redness
Burning
Drying
Peeling
Takes a bit of time

Epiduo works very well. I have been suffering from acne for 2 years. It was only on my forehead, but when it started showing up on my cheeks is when I went to the doctor for Epiduo. I have tried EVERY product for my acne. NOTHING worked except for Epiduo. The acne on my forehead cleared completely in under a week, my cheeks however have not cleared completely. I do however see massive improvements in it. When I first started using it, it burned and itched horribly. After a bout a week the burning stopped, but it stills leaves my face a little dry. But it has worked for me better than anything else, and I would recommend it to everyone!

Pros:

clears up acne!

Cons:

none!

I'm 35 and started having acne problems a few years ago- never in high school, but now as an adult :( I've tried tons of medications, creams, washes, etc for my acne. This is the first time that a product has really worked for me. I broke out really bad the first week of use, but after that my face has been pretty clear. I do still get one or two spots prior to my cycle, but the epiduo helps it go away quickly. I also use clarisonic w/ proactive to cleanse my face (twice a day) as well as using epiduo twice a day. My face is really oily so I didn't have any issues w/ dryness, flaking or redness.

Pros:

Reduces amount of acne
No initial breakout (if gradually introduced)
Not very irritating

Cons:

None so far

I highly recommend trying Epiduo to anyone with mild to moderate acne. I found that if it is gradually introduced to the skin there is minimal irritation and initial breakout. I also like that the adapalene component increases the absorption of clindamycin into the pore.

Pros:

-clears up all acne
-works fast
-leave skin perfect

Cons:

-may burn
-may irritate

If you have acne and you want to get rid of it use Epiduo. I recommend it to everyone because it worked for me. I used it the first time like 2 years ago and I fell in love. It cleared up all my acne and stopped using it. This year my acne came back and I instantly went back to using it. And its only been like a week or two and its already clearing my face. And yes it might burn your skin and feel irritated but it is worth it. Plus you are not suppose to put it constantly on in areas where you have no acne!

Pros:

Ance is gone
Keeps away acne
Slightly fades scars

Cons:

Stings

Yes. It stings. But you know what hurts worse? Being ashamed to go out in public with acne. Epiduo changed my life. Seriously. I haven't had a pimple in MONTHS. I used to have moderately severe acne. Only use this is your serious about clearing your skin and do not mind a little burning or stinging. It's not that bad anyways.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
