  1. This thread will go thru my journey as I get my scar treatment. I plan on getting mixto with subcision with dr David rahimi. I am quite young only 18 so I figured why not get my treatment when my scars and I are young. Any my questions you have I will answer. I will post pictures of my scars once most people join in on the thread. But right now my scars are mild not super mild but not yet moderate more in the middle. I have mostly box car scars with a couple ice pick and about one your two
  2. Your pimple has now become an open wound. What's the best way to treat an open wound? Keep it clean, moist, and covered. Apply Vaseline or Neosporin on the open wound before putting a bandage on it. I do this at night before I go to bed--and when I awake, the hole is usually sealed or sealed enough to wear I can apply makeup on it and it looks okay. If you try this, I'd suggest doing on a weekday so if it screws up, it's all good. Try at your own risk! I don't know if this works for everyone..

  4. I need help identifying my scars. In some pics look almost none existent idk of its the hyperpigment along with raised scars. And the fact I'm on accutane that makes my face look bumpy and uneven . I do have some scars that are quite evident but would like some insight on my situation any would help
  5. So I think my weeks may be one off on these posts, but when I go back and look, I can’t see where the mistake is… idk. Ever since my dosage was upped, I’ve been getting a long and irritating breakout. I know it’s probably my body expelling the deep acne in my skin, but it HURTS and my skin picking has become a lot more challenging as a result. My closed comedones have become more numerous and obvious, yet all of my mirrors in my room are covered to dissuade my picking sessions so I’m not exactly
  6. Holy heck it is closed comedone time, my dudes. They are everywhere. I didn’t used to break out on my cheeks but now I am. I still believe that it’s the comedones being expelled because I shamefully picked one of the more painful spots and a small, teardrop-shaped hard piece came out of my pore, almost like a small piece of uncooked rice. From previous experience, that’s similar to what is in closed comedones - really hard semi-spherical bits (don’t judge me, this is science). Good news: nearly
  7. I am a 19 years old guy. I have like ONLY 1-2 BREAKOUTS IN A YEAR! Even when I was in my teenage years, I didn't have breakouts. All the bumps that you see on my face are self-created. There was nothing to start with. I IMAGINED that there is something and picked on normal skin and as a result created all this mess. I've been skin-picking for like 18 months now. I'm an unconscious picker. I do not look at mirror while picking. In fact, if I look at the mirror I do NOT pick. I pick unconsciou

An aloe nightmare on picked skin

I'm going to try and make this as short as possible. I have struggled with picking my skin for years now, most obsessively on my face. I will have good times and bad times. Everything was really good lately and things were started to stay clear. I am using Rx products from the derm for my acne which helps a lot since acne blemishes were what I would pick the most anyway, I recently got a pore extraction facial where they manually extract the stuff from clogging your pores. However I think the

At a loss and need some help

Hello everyone, I have just joined the forum as i have been feeling really down about my skin this past year (im now 27yo). Before this year i never really suffered from acne too bad. A few spots here and there but nothing i couldn't cope with. However, this year my skin feels as though it has just decided to punish me for whatever reason. I wake up every day with new spots on my face, chest and back. It has got me so down i am missing social occasions and hiding inside wanting to avoid going
  11. Hello everyone, I have been suffering from acne since I was about 17. I am now 19 and I am 99% cleared from acne with daily use of spectro gel, clindamycin solution with dilusol and differin gel 0.1%. Although my scars have improved quite a bit since I got them 2 years ago, I am still not satisfied. I would need some suggestions on what treatments I could possibly do. My scars are fairly shallow. Some of them are clustered in one spot but for the most part they are isolated. I am thinking of pur

  13. Hi there, The intention of this thread is to create an ongoing list of tips and tricks to help ease the urge to pick! I'm sure many of these tips are things you have already heard of, but I over the course of the last 6 months I have managed to decrease my obsessive skin picking dramatically using a combination of these techniques. This list is not exhaustive, feel free to add any suggestions, and good luck! Mild exfoliation My skin leans towards being quite dry, which means I can suffer fr
  14. So after being diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and OCD, I knew I had to change. With the help of therapy and personal support from my mom, I went from a face full of scabs to almost no picking at all in about one month. YAY! So much improvement. However, I still touch my face several times a day. Very gently, with clean hands only, but I still touch, which can very rarely lead to picking/flaking. This is my last step in my "stop picking" journey. Is anyone else past the more serious picking
