the best purchase i've ever made
I have had acne for about two years now and it's gotten better and worse and been quite a rollercoaster. I was on several acne medications, including oral medications and topical ointments, gels, creams, whatever- my acne never went away. i recently tried a new skin routine and i bought an oil free pink grapefruit acne wash by neutrogena along with the moisturizer & saw the witch hazel for $5 or whatever and decided to try it. let. me. tell you... my skin has been clearer than ever since. i use exfoliating pads with the facewash and then use a cotton ball to apply the witch hazel as a toner, and i let it dry and finish with the moisturizer. i never sleep in makeup, i apply witch hazel 5-6/7 days of the week and my skin is clearer than it's ever been since i've had acne. it's even taking scars away, and making my skin less oily on top of it. it may not work for all skin types, but it's doing justice to my skin!

Cons:
None I've encountered
I use witch hazel on a cotton ball ~8 times a day. Very effective for me at drying up spots and preventing new breakouts because it keeps my face clean. If you overuse it, it will lead to more problems than it's worth, but like anything else, used in moderation it's very effective and is an easy way to help whatever acne problems you may have.

Pros:
it's natural and works better than most toners anyway.
it's cheap.
Cons:
some may be annoyed with smell...?
buy it. try it.

Great so far!
I have tried everything. I'm currently using clindamycin phosphate lotion and washing with nip and fab glycolic scrub fix. I am currently purging....like crazy. But I just bought T.N. Dickinson's witch hazel. I put it on a cotton ball an just put it all over my face. And when it dries I put it on again. I do this like four or five times. My acne is worse than it has ever been. I am scheduled for microdermabrasion in a couple weeks too so hopefully I'm on the right track. Very hopeful for the witch hazel. It makes me skin soooo extremely soft and as soon as I put it on my pores shrunk! Crazy!! I have tried lemon scrubs, honey, cinnamon, biore pore strips and even glue!!!! This is amazing!

New Beginnings
I've used a countless amount of products that promised to "clear", "stop, and "prevent"
acne. NONE OF THEM HAVE WORKED! I started getting acne around the age of 14 and I have been trying to get rid of it for 4 years now. I just purchased a 12oz bottle of Dickinson's Witch Hazel after reading somewhere how well Witch Hazel works on acne, reading these reviews really has me excited, I'm hoping for the best and not expecting the worst for once! WISH ME LUCK ! Will post again next friday.

If I could only have one skin care product this would be it.
I never write reviews but am writing one in hopes that I may help someone out.
About 2 months ago I had decided that I wanted to try a completely natural approach to combating my oily skin/acne. I purchased Apple Cider Vinegar, a Bentonite Clay Mask, Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe and JoJoba oil.
I began toning with witch hazel morning And night, using the mask (mixed with acv) and applying JoJoba oil at night.
This was helping a lot, but I was still feeling oily and having to use the mask every day. So instead of leaving the jojoba oil on my face, I began using it more like a face wash with cold water. I also switched all of my makeup to natural oil-free makeup. This is my skincare regimen now- Wash with organic natural facewash
Tone with Witch Hazel (using cotton ball)
Clean makeup brush with alcohol and papertowel
Once dry, apply my makeup.
Wash again at night (with hot water)
Tone with Witch Hazel
Rinse with cold water and jojoba oil
Pat dry If I'm feeling oily sometimes I skip the jojoba oil wash and just put a little on my undereyes and any dry areas before bed. Sorry that wasn't so long, I'm just excited because for the first time in my life I can be comfortable in front of people without skin makeup on!

*thumbs up*
I really like witch hazel.
I mix it in the cleanser I make at home and spritz it on my face and cotton swab . Clean and refreshing.

GREAT!!
this stuff is really amazing. i bought it a few weeks ago and i can already notice a difference in my skin and my scars are slightly diminishing. i use the skin care line by obagi and it came with a toner, but i figured i would try this out instead because the toner provided wasn't doing anything spectacular. not only does this take off the remainder of my makeup after i wash my face, but it leaves my skin feeling nice and soft. the only thing that REALLY bugged me in the beginning was the smell, i don't even know how to describe it, (almost like bacon) but i'm used to it now and it doesn't bother me nearly as much. I've been struggling with acne for about 6 years now and this is one of the only things that has really worked for me, and quickly!!! AND, it's only about $5 from the drugstore! everything about it is wonderful.
